• Problem in SAP Console connection - yellow only

Hi Guys
i change the password of SAPC11 at SQL> prompt, alter user sapc11 identified by 123xyz, when i come back and connect the SAP Console, its not work its become yellow. i think i got some authentication problem due to change of password in Oracle, is there any body help me out, how to set the password at the console again
thanx in advance

Hello,
It is not always safe to change sap schema id password via sql.As this password has to be stored in SAPUSER table where from the work process makes a SELECT against the SAPUSER table and reads the password of SAP<SCHEMA-ID>. Then the work process connects with username SAP<SCHEMA-ID> and the password retrieved from the table SAPUSER. In case of any deviation connection cannot be established and the work process stops with an error.This causes u the prob.
Try resetting the password again via brtools.
In the sap server run BRTOLS from cmd prompt then proceed as follows
Brtools----->Choose Additional Functions--->Choose Change Password of DB user
Enter choice 2(Database User/Password)
In user prompt give sapc11 and in password prompt put the password u had changed earlier ie abc123.
Then enter c (for continue) u will be prompted for the new password
When u put the new password it wont be displayed in the prompt just type
Complete the entire guided process.
Hope this resolves your prob.
Dont forget to award points if resolved.

• Business Service Issue for OSB 10.3.1 when call web service of SAP ECC 710

Hello,
1 . I was doing unit test for a business service which called a web service from SAP ECC 710 (This service is published directly from a RFC function module via SOA Manager);
2 .The problem is when i use the OSB test console , which generate request message below:
<soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
*<soap:Header xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">*
*</soap:Header>*
<soapenv:Body>
<urn:Zmmjf503 xmlns:urn="urn:sap-com:document:sap:soap:functions:mc-style">
<ContractInfo>string</ContractInfo>
</urn:Zmmjf503>
</soapenv:Body>
</soapenv:Envelope>
the response message is :
<soap-env:Envelope xmlns:soap-env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
<soap-env:Header>
<n0:MessageID xmlns:n0="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2004/08/addressing">
uuid:4cbe5b84-474c-9abe-e100-00000ad00164
</n0:MessageID>
<n1:Action soap-env:mustUnderstand="1" xmlns:n1="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2004/08/addressing" xmlns:soap-env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope"/>
</soap-env:Header>
<soap-env:Body/>
</soap-env:Envelope>
Above response indicates that the BS called the SAP Web server successfully , but seems the service didn't get the request message.
3. The Web service can be called successfully via SoapUI . and i have checked the request message of soapUI; and it can work if i simply modify the request:
<soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
*<soap:Header xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"></soap:Header>*
<soapenv:Body>
<urn:Zmmjf503 xmlns:urn="urn:sap-com:document:sap:soap:functions:mc-style">
<ContractInfo>string</ContractInfo>
</urn:Zmmjf503>
</soapenv:Body>
</soapenv:Envelope>
and i got the correct response :
<soap-env:Envelope xmlns:soap-env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
<soap-env:Header/>
<soap-env:Body>
<n0:Zmmjf503Response xmlns:n0="urn:sap-com:document:sap:soap:functions:mc-style">
<Recmsg><![CDATA[<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><DocumentResponse><STATE>0</STATE><HTBH></HTBH><MESSAGE></MESSAGE></DocumentResponse>]]></Recmsg>
</n0:Zmmjf503Response>
</soap-env:Body>
</soap-env:Envelope>
4 It bother me , as the only difference between the above two request messages is the Header(the first one contains a "carriage returns"):
*<soap:Header xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">*
*</soap:Header>*
VS
*<soap:Header xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"></soap:Header>*
5 i thought that the soap engine should ignore the "carriage returns", seems it's a problem of SAP ECC710.
DID anyone encouter this problem?? Thanks
Regards
Wen

Thanks,Patrick,
i have already removed the Soap:header, and it worked as well. what's more , using header " <soapenv:Header/>" worked.
And i got these request messages via TCPMON, so it's exactly what were sent to SAP ECC710.
The HTTP request which cannot work:
POST /sap/bc/srt/rfc/sap/zmmjf_503/400/zmmjf_503_service/zmmjf_503_soapbinding HTTP/1.1

Thing is that if i just use
<soap:Header xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"></soap:Header>
to replace (which means i just simply remove the carriage return)
<soap:Header xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
</soap:Header>
in the header field of OSB Test console, it can work!!!
It's really a weird issue. and it bothers me so much ;)
any suggestions?

How to go abt this req?
Regards
Gunjan

Hi Gunjan,
Any doubts regarding SAP CONSOLE would be solved refering these threads
Your job would be typically done with the help of SAPConsole.
Check this link very carefully.It has a very useful description as in how to integrate bar-code data into SAP R/3 using RF Programming and SAPConsole.
http://www.enowa-consulting.com/download/SCM-Dec-Garg-v1.pdf
I am again mentioning the links from the previous reply
For achieving this you need to install SAP console on your PC and a Telnet Server for integration.
1.chk the following links regading sap console installation and configuration,which I suppose is your basic requirement .

Regarding RFID Design
Probably yow will also be required to do RF screen programming.
Check the following link for that,

• SSHv2 supported by SAP Console?

Does SSHv2 (secure Telnet) work with the SAP console and does SAP support this?

Yes, you can secure the connection between your wireless devices and the server where your SAPConsole is installed by using a SSHv2 server. I assume here you want to use wireless devices running windows CE or Pocket PCs or Windows Mobile 5.0). You would have to install a SSHv2 client on each of the devices and a SSHv2 server software on the computer where the SAPConsole is installed. We use a complete solution including client and server software from [Georgia SoftWorks|http://www.georgiasoftworks.com/prod_ssh2/ssh2_server.htm]. We are very pleased with the performance we see and the peace of mind that our data is point-to-point encrypted using the strongest possible SSHv2 encryption. The solution is very easy to install, originally we were very worried about the nightmare of having to provide and maintain Private Key Infrastructure (PKI) certificates but this product allows you to completely avoid this issue. Conceptually the system works sort of like a telnet-based solution but over a secured connection.
Hope this helps,
Rodney

• Sap console bdc

Dear All,
We have developed some customized z-transactions related to standard MIGO
transaction for our Barcode Implementation project so that they can
run on Hand held terminals(HHT) as HHT doesnot Support SAP GUI (for ex : table controls, Tab strips etc.,)
The HHT is connected to SAP console via Telnet.
And we have used some BDCs which are developed using recording (SHDB) in these
customised transactions.
Transactions along with BDC's are working absolutely fine when running on SAP GUI (Desktop computers) .
But when we run these transactions on SAP console and while executing BDC's, it shows
the follwing Message and BDC's doesn't work on sap console.
Message Type  -  A
Message ID    -  CNDP
Message No    -  003
Message - Function DP_PUT_CLIENT_TABLE45A is not available
Message status- TO is not created
regards,
Rahul Shukla

Hello
The link you have provided is not working. And Have identical problem in completely different context.
I'm trying to use GUILIB.DLL to command GUI from Visual Basic.
To do it I had to write a DLL whish is changing the call covention to VB one. The DLL is just wrapping all exports.
Everyting works fine with Z-transactions and e.g. VD51 but
in VA01 or VD02, after filling the first screen with data sending the Event I get this error (DP_PUT_CLIENT_TABLE45A not available) after calling It_GetEvent.
DO you know any remedy (my patch level is 57 on 6.20 GUI)
thanks in advance for help

• SAP console goods receipt purchase order

Hi all,
I'm new at SAP console, and I need it to make goods reception from a purchase order with a mobile device (PDA).
Is there any way to make it without performing a Warehouse Management customizing in SAP ERP system??? I've seen a goods receipt menu with several reception options which seems to be WM options (transport orders, etc), but I didn't see the option to make a goods reception with reference to a purchase order (like in MIGO transaction)
Thanks in advance
Regards

OK, thanks a lot, that was very helpful. Now I know how to focus the problem I've some doubts.
I'm going to customize a basic WM to work with the SAP console.
My idea is to do a process similar to the next one:
1) The purchase order is created inn SAP R3 with confirmation type 0004 (for inbound deliveries).
2) Create in SAP R3 the inbound deliveries corresponding to the previous purchase orders.
3) Create in SAP R3 the Transport Orders corresponding to the previous inbound deliveries.
4) Confirm de Transport Orders/Inbound deliveries from the SAP console mobile device.
5) Post the goods receipt for the confirmed inbound deliveries in SAP R3.
Is there any way to avoid steps 2 and 3? I mean:
- Can the inbound deliveries be automatically generated when the purchase order is saved?
- Can the TO's be automatically generated when the inbound delivery is created?
Right now, I'm doing these 2 steps with collective transactions, but if it is possible I'd like to do it automatically.
Thanks a lot.
Best regards

• SAP GUI 710 installation with BW 3.5 addon - BW Browser has disappeared

Dear all,
I hope someone can help with a BW 3.50 add-on problem following SAP GUI patching.
I'm doing a local installation of SAP GUI 710 Compilation 3.
I have selected the following three options:
1. SAP GUI for Windows 7.10 (Compilation 3)
2. BW 3.50 Add-On for SAP GUI 7.10
3. Business Explorer
(We require both BW add-ons for version reasons.)
Following this I have applied the SAP GUI Level 13 Patch (gui710_13-10002995.exe).
Up to this point, everything works as expected and I can still see the BW Browser at Start --> Programs --> Business Explorer --> Business Explorer (SAP BW 3.x) --> Browser (SAP BW 3.x)
However, when I apply the BW 3.50 Add-On Level 6 Patch (bw350gui710_6-10004473.exe) the Browser disappears from the menu and I can't locate it anywhere. A reboot wasn't required although I did this anyway with no visible effect.
I did try uninstalling everything and attempted the same process, but with SAP GUI Patch Level 12, and combinations with BW 3.50 Add-On Patch Level 4 but with the same result.
Has anyone else come across this issue, or know what has happened?
Thanks.

We have a similar setup, utilizing all 3 as you do.
Since we are currently at Browser patch 4, eventually headed to patch 6, I threw your situation into our VM enviroment and tested the installation of Browser patch 6. Interesting enough, a clean install of Windows XP, Office 2003, and then GUI 7.10 with patch 13 and Browser 3.5 sp4 works as normal. Once I applied SP6 for the Browser, I still have the icon under the Start menu but the wdbbapp.exe is gone.
Thanks to the VM test enviroment, I was able to recreate the scenario in a few moments and this time prior to installing the patch 6 for the Browser, I set it up to catch all the changes the SAP installer makes when applying sp6.
The installation performed the following activity:
13 files added
4 files deleted
141 files updated
363 registry entries added
522 registry entries deleted
129 registry entries updated
Of the 4 files deleted, one of them is the BEx Browser (wdbbapp.exe) - which is why my shortcut won't work
Of the 13 added, none of them are the file being replaced.
Of the 141 modified, none are this file either.
I am still going through the log but have not seen anywhere it will make a difference if the file is not there.
Again, I am not saying there is a problem, perhaps they changed the way it is accessed, I am not fully up on the process of the BEx Browser. SAP may have something mentioned about it on their GUI/BEx site or a note, this is just my preliminary findings.

Zecher
