I executed the FM ABAP_DOCU_DOWNLOAD and was able to download the documentation in french wonder why its not working for u.
sorry i mentioned ABAP_DOCU_DOWNLOAD as Tcode in my previous reply. its FM which u have to execute.

With a session in FRENCH language, when i do:
SQL> select to_char(sysdate,'dd-mon-yyyy') from dual;
The result in 10g is:
TO_CHAR(SYSDA

The result in 9i is:
TO_CHAR(SYS
28-jul-2005
Where is the problem and how can i have the same result in 10g than in 9i ?

This behaviour is documented in the Oracle Database 10g Globalization Guide; it also includes the steps on how to revert back to the Oracle 9i locale definitions.

Please note that 10g is using the correct convention, the Oracle9i locale definition files will be desupported in a future release.

You could look for it in your local bookstore or at amazon.
I think oracle provides only documentation in english language for download, but I may be wrong.

Installing French language support on Solaris 7

Do you have luns 0-7 for this target in /kernel/drv/sd.conf ?
By default there is only a lun 0 for each target.
Additionally, format may only see the raid controller and your raid software would be used to configure the disks behind it into luns of varying sizes.

You can try a third party keyboard application. I know SwiftKey has a French language option.

Smartform not working for languages other than EL (english) !

I have a scenario of producing a pdf form(smartform) by clicking on a button in PC-UI portal .
Whenever i tried generating the pdf form (smartform) in any diff. language rather than english by logging in PCUI portal in that language , i found the following:
In the code, generated by the smartform, there is a function call to function ssfcomp_process_document.
It returns sy-subrc 1 and the error is FORMATTING_ERROR. , whenver other 4 languages are used instead of english .
Can anyone help? suggest possible reasons for this ?

I think you need to first translate the smartform into other languages. Before translation, it wont work.
Steps for translation:
1. goto Transaction SE63
2. in R3 Enterprise select form menu
Translation - ABAP Objects - Other long texts
3. select FS - SSF-Smart Form
4. Object Name: choose your smart form
5. select target language
6. press edit

How to print XML report in French Language?

I need to print XML report in French language, currently it display in English language.
I have used following steps:
1. I enabled French language on my oracle apps instance.
2. Created the concurrent program with output type as XML
3. Created Data Definition using XML Publisher Responsibility
4. Created template. At the time of creation of templete, enabled Translatable check box and click Apply
5. Once template is uploaded, you will find two buttons. Export Translation and Upload Translation.
6. Clickd on Export Translation. XLF file opened.
7. In XLF file - e. g. source-language="en-US" target-language="fr-FR".Source is English and fr is for French language and FR is territory.
8. Update the target fields in French language. In the below example source field is in English language and target is in French language. This indicates that wherever the Invoice Date is present in RTF template it will be
replaced by the target field in french language.
<source>Invoice Date:</source>
<target>Date de facture:</target>
9. Updated the same for all fields and finally import the updated translation file.
10. But When i run report , output display in English not in French.
Please any one can help, what should in do next to print in French Language.

Are you selecting the Template at the time of Program submission?
Check in the Options while submitting the Program

When Loading the data from a french Language

You dont need a french keyboard!
Just make sure that the french language is installed in your BW system
TO check this go to transaction RZ10 and select a defined parameter.
In it, see if apart from English and German, if french is also checked. Installation of language is job of basis guys and check with them too

and I suppose it's the same in the Canadian law too . So, if I understand you, I buy an incomplete software without any information from Adobe about that !!!!! and you don't alow me to use a complet french version of the software I paid and use on the US country because of a French law that nobody knows neither follow except ADOBE????? can you explain me more because I really don't understand your "no answer" to explain an other bug in your software... Why do you sell it as an incomplet solution at the same price in that case? Just have to inform every users about that and we will baught the US (or other language) versions in place of the french one...
Is there finaly a temporary solution to find & install the kuler extention from the US version to the french version in Photoshop & Illustrator (by myself, of course and without the agreement of ADOBE )

Need smartform output in different languages

Hi expert,
Can you please let me know how can I see the output of a smartform in different languages. I'm seeing the output of a sales order. I have three output types . ZZAC,ZZ00, ZZ01. The smarform is developed with the language attributes of Translate into all languages. Is it required to convert the forms in SE63? or there are other ways we can see it.
I need the output in all the languages like FR,EN,DE,IT,ES ,EN etc.

Try This... hope it will solve your problem....
To maintain the translations:
1. Go to transaction SE63 in R/3. Go to menu Translation->R/3 Enterprise->Other Long Texts.
2. Select the object type in the pop up. Smartform (SSF) object type is found under Forms and Styles(FS).
3. Enter the name of the Smart form and choose the source and target language(Let the Source Language be 'EN'). Now Click on 'EDIT'.
4. This would open a screen with the Smartform code in Source language on the top and an editor with the same code in the bottom. Find the text for which you need to maintain the translation and insert the translation in that place.
As usual after required texts are maintained Save and Activate.
To see the translated Smartform create an output type and assign the smartform and the driver program to this output type. In the transaction that sends output to this smartform, select the output type and select the language in which the smartform has to be displayed (translations have to be maintained in this language).This will give the smartform in the required language.

In the CC Desktop app, click the gear > Preferences > App tab > choose Application Language, then install Photoshop CC
Once the install finishes, Photoshop Preferences > Interface > UI Language, change to French, Restart Photoshop.

Add French language pack to Curve 8520

Dears,
I recently updated my device (Curve 8520) software to version 5.0.0.1036, since then I don't have French in my languages anymore.
When trying to add this with the Desktop Manager, the language is not mentioned in the Application List.
Can someone help me to add the French pack to my device?

the language packs are included in the OS installer. Whatyou need to do is find an OS that contains the french language pack.
You can look at the french carriers (Orange France, Vodafone SFR, Bouygues Telecom) or European carriers (like Vodafone DE or O2).

Getting today's dumbest topic over with - where is the documentation?

I'm trying to figure out how to stabilize some shaky footage. If I type 'stabilize' into the help menu search field it just points me to a video menu item, but I can't figure out how it works. In addition, nothing in the documentation is referenced. Anybody out there know where the FCE documentation pdf file is stored on the Mac. And yes, I did try spotlight...

Thanks to all who responded. What threw me was that I typed "stabilize" into the help search box and all it returned at that point was a reference to the menu item:
video filters -> video -> image stabilizer
and nothing else.
When I cleared the search box I noticed the first item pointed to the documentation (doh!) but I guess what threw me was that the original search returned NOTHING about "stabilize" from the manual - and there are certainly several references to that in there. I know the documentation is handled by Preview, but I guess I expected (a lot) more out of the help menu than I got.
As an aside, to the person that said FCE does not do Image stabilization, the documentation on the "image stabilizer" video filter seems to say otherwise, although it appears to mostly cater for a shaky tripod scenario rather than stuff containing panning and zooming (which is what I'm trying to fix).
Anyway, I've marked this as solved (thanks again) and now it's back to my yard work ...

How to filter French language spam in Mail?

Is there a way of adding a rule in Mail 7.3 in OS 10.9.4 to automatically identify French-language e-mails as spam (as indeed all the French-language e-mails I receive are)? Merely marking the messages as spam hasn't made Mail any smarter about recognizing them as spam.

There are a whole bunch of things that must all be setup properly for this to work; some of them are not related specifically to TimesTen. For example:
1.   The setting for 'DatabaseCharacterSet' determines how TimesTen will interpret character data (other than NCHAR/NVARCHAR2/NCLOB) stored in the database. So this must be set to a suitable and correct value based on your requirements.
2. The DSN setting for 'ConnectionCharacterSet' determines how the TimesTen driver (ODBC, OCI, JDBC etc.) will treat data presented to it by the application. This setting must ,match, or at least be compatible with, the actual data encoding used by the application. Note that the default value for this if it is not set explicitly is US7ASCII which is certainly *not* suitable for your needs. What value do you have for ConnectionCharacterSet?
3. If you are using a shell based client (such as ttIsql) to insert or display the data then it is very important that both your shell and terminal NLS parameters are set properly. If they are not then even if the data is correct being inserted and retrieved it may not display correctly. I cannot provide detailed guidance on this as it depends on your OS etc. but for Mac OS X for example I work in UTF8 and my shell environment specifies NLS_LANG=ENGLISH_UNITED KINGDOM.UTF8.
4.   Applications often have their own locale settings and those also need to be set properly.
5.   Java always works in UTF16 so usually that is not an issue.
So, you need to check all of the above very carefully; if any one of these is not set exactly right you will get unexpected (and possibly incorrect) results. For example, if ConnectionCharacterSet is not set properly at the time the data is inserted then the data in the database may not be correct.
