Where is Taxonomy Query Builder iView

Hello,
Reading this documentation from help http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/77/49523ec744d947e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
they mention "You are in the Taxonomy Query Builder iView"....
Where can I found this iview
Regards,
Orlando Covault

I have this role.
I don´t see the link in the Content Management... But I can access the component with the URL you gave me. Thank you very much... I´ll use this URL (Or and iView made by myself as you describe) to access, so I can say the problem is solved.
Thanks a lot.
PD: I cannot give you points in this thread cause it´s not mine...
Copy your answer into this thread for me to give you your points.
Thanks again.

Wich authorization do I need?? Where is the iView??...
    Thanks in advance.

Search for ContentManager role in the user admin  and assign that role to your user id or the group you are in.
Once it is added, Content Manager role will come in Top level navigation.
Then navigate to Content Manager -> Classification-> Taxonnomy Query Builder.

  • Can I limit which taxonomies display in the Taxonomy Query builder iview?

I’ve built a bunch of (query based) taxonomies successfully.  I have also placed a taxonomy query builder iview on two portal content pages (one page is called OHS and the other Finance):   In the taxonomy query builder iview, is there a way to ONLY show  related taxonomies for OHS users on the OHS page (and only show Finance taxonomies on the Finance pages)?
In the Taxonomy Query builder it appears that All taxonomies appear all the time.   I’ve tried setting the permissions on the individual indexes and also on the taxonomy folders in KM.
    DS

    Hi
I think if you logon to portal as administrator, you are able to see all the taxonomies. But you can restrick end user to see particular taxonomies. Fot that you have to navigate to Content Management -> Classification -> Taxomonies.
Then open that particular index and go to details page of that taxonomy which you want to block for end users.
Then click on setting and open permission page. Delete all the permissions (If any type of permissions already given) then add your end users (you can make a group of particular type of end users and then add that group directly) and give permissions.
I think this will work for you.

  • Error using Taxonomy Query Builder

    Hi Everybody,
I'm using Taxonomy Query Builder to create some Queries to automatically classify documents that are uploaded to KM, but when I create the Query appears the next error:
    com.sapportals.wcm.repository.NotCheckedOutException
And the Query is not saved.
I have been creating a lot of queries in others folders in KM without any problem, but only with a specifics folders this happens.
Somebody has faced a similar problem??
    Many thanks in advance

  • Where is Visual Query Builder??

In the RDS Query Viewer, there is an alleged Visual Query button to launch the Visual Query Builder. There is no button present for the Visual Query Builder as shown in the help file.  I cannot find any preferences that hide this button.  Please help!  Thanks.  MPe-commerce

There is a whole section of help that tells you how to use Visual Query Builder. See this:
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/ColdFusion/9.0/Developing/WSc3ff6d0ea77859461172e0811cbec16ab8 -7ff9.html.
The exact same thing appears in the CF Builder help within Flash Builder. Problem is, like other items I have found, it’s all phony because it does not exist.
Adobe has known this all along. Look at this forum post from August of last year: http://forums.adobe.com/message/2154542.
I got CF Builder because it came for free with FlashBuilder – and it’s not even worth that (free) price because you have to put up with the frustration of dealing with the kinds of issues we are dealing with now.
And to think that, evidently, some poor suckers have paid $299… As far as I am concerned, that borders on fraud.
The way it looks to me, they have taken the free ColdFusion Extensions for FlexBuilder and made them into a $299 half-baked product (marketers call it ‘re-purposing’).
    I say half-baked because CF Builder documents, but does not have;
    Visual      Query Builder
The      ability to generate a CFC from an AS class
ColdFusion Extensions for FlexBuilder do have those features and they work fine. But you cannot install those in Flash Builder – I know because I tried.
Sorry Adobe, but I am beginning to think of you as the Goldman Sachs of the software industry.

  • Using presentation variables selected in dashboard prompt in query builder

In dashboard prompt I have made four dropdowns(have four presentation variables) and based on these values selected, can the Query Builder generate dynamic reports based on the presentation variables selected?
I will provide the link(i.e Link of BI publisher where I stored the report) displayed to the user based on Four presentation variables.
If we click on that link can we use the presentation variables in where clause of Query Builder in BI Publisher?
    Please help me out
    Thanks in Advance

    - OK. In the second prompt, instead of setting Default to SQL Results, set it to Specific Value.
    - Then insert '{pres_var}' in the window. I got it to work this way.
    - It supplied the PV as the default in the second prompt after hitting "Go" on the first prompt.
Hi, thanks for your suggestion but I don't need to have the value of the presentation variable itself as the prompt default. The variable is a filter for a specific SQL clause and the default is the result of this SQL.
    Cheers

  • Query builder bug in outer joins ?

I understood that if you were joining two tables A and B, the following was a
    LEFT OUTER JOIN
    SELECT A.COL, B.COL
    FROM A, B
    WHERE A.ID = B.ID (+)
ie: a LEFT outer join has the (+) on the Right-hand table.
However, query builder puts the (+) on the Left-hand table.
Same for a RIGHT outer join - I think the (+) should be on the Left-hand table, but query builder puts it on the Right-hand table.
    Cheers,
    Andrew
    (running Version 2.1.0.00.39)

    Hi Andrew,
I just played a little with the query builder and created a join between two of my tables:
PROJECTS and ACTIVITIES, linked via KCC.
When I create a left outer join in query builder, I get the following result:
    select     "PROJECTS"."KCC" as "KCC"
    from     "ACTIVITIES" "ACTIVITIES",
         "PROJECTS" "PROJECTS"
    where "PROJECTS"."KCC"(+) ="ACTIVITIES"."KCC"
Which is correct: Left refers to the first table in the from clause (ACTIVITIES) and places the (+) on the other table!
Left and right refers to the order of tables in the from clause, not in the where clause. Query builder sorts the tables in FROM alphabetically, maybe this is differing from the graphical order in query builder.

    Alex

  • Unable to find the Taxonomy Query Editor

As said at point 5 on the netweaver help it try to find the taxonomy query editor but without success
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/6c/5145b1d1de11d6b2cc00508b6b8b11/frameset.htm
What is the full navigational path to access them ?
    Thank's
    Laurent.

    Hi LAurent,
in a SAP NetWeaver '04 PPortal, the path would be <i>Content Management - Classification - Taxonomy Query Builder</i>. That is, if you have a role assigned to your user that contains <i>Content Management</i>.

  • Query Builder won't apply chosen date to the where clause

Does anybody know why when I chose a date field, in the where clause, when using Query Builder, it won't actually write the chosen date to the actual query?
If I select the "View Query" tab, no date shows up. Also if I press the "Run Report" button in the "View Result" tab, I get this error:
"An error was encountered performing requested operation: ORA-00936: missing expression"
This is because actual date data is missing.
After I hit the "Apply" button, I have to manually type the date data.
I thought this was a bug of the previous version, but I just installed version 1.5.4 and I have no different result.
    Thanks.

I just wanted to add my name to the list of people having this issue.
    Oracle Techies, please help.

  • Query Builder - Where Clause - Could not format error using date comparison

We've come across a bug in the Query Builder, under the Create Where Clause tab, if you select a column of Date type plus one of the comparison operators =, !=, <, >, <=, >=, BETWEEN or NOT BETWEEN it displays an error in the Logging Page:
    Level: Severe
    Source: o.d.r.queryBuilder.SQLGenerator
Message: Could not format :2010-09-02 16:20:31.0
Then under the Show SQL tab it doesn't display the date(s) you selected, e.g.
    WHERE LAST_UPDATE BETWEEN AND
Also the View Results tab does not display any results.
You can still press Apply to add the SQL as is to the editor window and from there you have to manually code in the date parameters.

  • How to include lexical parameters in IN string in SQL QUERY BUILDER ?

    Hi,
I have to write an SQL Query in SQL QUERY BUILDER in Reports 6i to retrieve all details pertaining to donor codes i insert randomnly at runtime.
    The Statement is like this
    SELECT TITLE_TAB.TITLE_CODE,DONOR_TAB.DONOR_CODE, DONOR_TAB.FIRST_NAME,DONOR_TAB.MIDDLE_NAME,DONOR_TAB.LAST_NAME,CITY_MASTER_TAB.CITY_CODE FROM DONOR_TAB,CITY_MASTER_TAB,TITLE_TAB
    WHERE DONOR_CODE IN (1,2,6,70,....)
I cannot use lexical parameter '&' in SQL QUERY BUILDER as i have to use bind variable donor_code.
    How do i do it?

How do i do that? Can you give me an example of how i can go about with it?

  • Query Builder problem - query results from previous query

    Hi.
I have a 100% repeatable problem in Oracle Query Builder (Version 6.0.7.1.0) where some rows from the results of a previous query appear in the results for the current query. The queries being run are saved in *.brw files. If I close down Query Builder completely between queries, there is no problem. If I run one query, export the results to a CSV file, close that query and then open a second query, when I run the second query there are rows in the results that shouldn't be there (they are remnants of the first query). Interestingly the total number of rows for the second query is correct, so the same number of rows are missing as shouldn't be there. Anyone come across this before? Problem is repeatable for different database users and on different computers.
    regards,
    Martin

as i posted earlier .. queryBuilder as a stand alone product is neither supported nor available anymore. it is only available as part of the report data wizard.
    thanks,
    ph.

  • 2 Bugs - Apex 4 - Websheets & Query Builder

    Hello,
Just to make someone from the Apex Dev team aware if they aren't already.
I've come across what i think is a bug in Websheets where if you create a data grid or interactive report and then save a Named Copy of the report (so that the select list appears at the top of the report/grid with the saved report names). When you then click on any of the drop down menus like Actions, Manage, or any of the drop down tabs at the top of the page (Page, Data, Annotations, Administration) the background of the menu goes transparent making it really difficult to read the options in the menu if there is some text behind it.
If you then delete the saved report so that you just have the one version, and refresh the page the problem dissapears. I've only found this issue when using Internet Explorer 8 (not sure about earlier versions), as far as I am aware this doesn't happen in Firefox or Chrome.
Also if you log into Apex using Google Chrome and go to the Query Builder under SQL Workshop. If you click and add a table with quite a few columns (10 or more) the scroll bar is missing down the right hand side which means there is no way to select/view all of the columns in that table.
    Thanks.

    Better make that 3 bugs.
Create a data grid from spreadsheet data. There must be a very small limit on the data you can actually upload using this thing, I just tried to upload 50 rows of data containing 12 columns (not exactly a massive amount). The data is a fictional list of employees, I have pasted the tab delimited data below.
It fails, but rather than giving an error message like "Too Much Data" it just clears out the text area and says "Data Must Be Provided". Also it doesn't seem to say anywhere what the limit on pasted data is.
I'd really appreciate it if somebody could respond to this ticket to let me know that these issues have been acknowledged.
    Thanks.

  • Parsing Error when using query builder

I have a query with a subquery in the WHERE statement witn multiple fields listed in the select statement.
For example, the subquery starts with "AND (center, jobid) IN SELECT center, jobid FROM ........
The query runs fine and gives me the correct data
However when I click on the Query builder option, I receive the following error
"Text is not a valid, single SELECT statement.
    Parsing error:
    Failed to parse SQL query.
    Invalid Select Statement.
Unexpected token "from" at line13, pos 1.
    Query Builder Disabled
I believe this to be a problem with the query builder, Am I correct?

Query Builder is a visual environment targeted at novice/intermediate users. Some advanced and/or hard to visualize language features are not supported. The improved error messaging coming in 3.1 would indicate this is 'unsupported' rather than 'not a valid, single SELECT statement.' For example, (using scott/tiger):
    Text contains unsupported syntax.
    Parsing error:
    Failed to parse SQL query.
    Invalid SELECT statement.
Unexpected token "," at line 4, pos 16.
    Query Builder disabled.
    select distinct d.dname
    from dept d, emp e
    where d.deptno = e.deptno
      and (e.deptno, e.job) in
    (select x.deptno, x.job
    from emp x
    where x.deptno > 10
and x.job NOT IN ('MANAGER', 'PRESIDENT')
I don't know what your real query is, but refactoring to use join on derived table or table expression (or, as Gary said, separate IN clauses) rather than '(a, b) IN' will allow Query Builder to display it.
    derived table: select distinct d.dname
    from dept d, emp e,
    (select x.deptno, x.job
    from emp x
    where x.deptno > 10
and x.job NOT IN ('MANAGER', 'PRESIDENT')
    ) filter
    where d.deptno = e.deptno
      and e.deptno = filter.deptno
      and e.job = filter.job
table expression: with filter as (select x.deptno, x.job
    from emp x
    where x.deptno > 10
and x.job NOT IN ('MANAGER', 'PRESIDENT')
    select distinct d.dname
from dept d, emp e, filter
    where d.deptno = e.deptno
      and e.deptno = filter.deptno
      and e.job = filter.jobBrian Jeffries

  • Query Builder functionality

Has anyone built a Query Builder Page in the apps that is similar to the standard APEX Query Builder?

I haven't done exactly this, but remember doing a tabular form genarator (similar to the tabular form wizard in the builder) choosing tables, columns and field types. But that was using Apex 3.2, now that we have jQuery and dynamic actions in Apex 4.0, it should be much easier.
If you looking for an approach, here's one
<li>create a left side bar region with tables from schema: report or list based
select table_name from user_tables<li>On click of the list entry, show a modal dialog of a report based on the columns of the selected table
    SELECT * FROM USER_TAB_COLS WHERE table_name = :<TABLE_NAME ITEM> Show images based on column type ("data_type" in user_tab_cols)
Checkboxes return the column name for each row
<li> Have a dynamic action that runs for each checkbox calling a PLSQL to update a collection adding the clicked column name to the the list.
Refresh a updateable report region which is based on the collection , showing the column, sort order, group by options
and JS code to move rows up or down (
    move_up code (pseudo code)
    this_row = $(this.triggeringElement).parents('tr:first);
    prev_row = this_row.prev();
    next_row = this_row.next();
    //move up
prev_row.before(this_row);Then the SQL code generation would concatenate the application arrays containing the column names adding columns one row at a time and adding sort and order options. You would need to some custom PLSQL coding, looping throw each row adding predicates.
