Where is that File button?

Howdy
I am trying to move all of the photos my wife has in her PSE program to a file on the desktop. From there I'll burn them to a disc. But I cannot find, anywhere in the Photo Browser area, a File button. According to the Help file, in order to export the photos, I go to File, then Export to move them. Appreciate any help.

Thanks for your quick reply. We are using PSE 5, on a PC running Vista. I can't tell what the resolution is, but we can see the File button and all of the others clearly when we switch from the Browser window to the Full Edit window. Hope this helps.
Also-perhaps you can answer this-on my Mac I can just go to my Pictures file, and select it if I want to move all of my photos to another Mac-is it possible to go to a similar file on the PC and move it to the Desktop? From there I can load them onto a disc. I want to move the photos to a new Mac laptop so that I can install them in iPhotos.

The reason you want to do this is because the Franchise table is not used directly. So without including the table on the object definition, you would get prompted for a context.
To fix this, as suggested above, double-click on the object in question, and you will see the Tables button on the bottom of that screen. Click the Tables button, and include the Franchise table and save your object.
Be aware, however, that the tables list is automatically updated every time you change the object. So if you update the select or where clause at some point, you'll need to do this step again.

The file is just left where it was when it was connected to the library. Typically:
<User>/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Music/<Artist>/<Album>/## <Name>.<Ext>
If you want to add it back just drag it into iTunes. If you want to cull the files you kept previously add the entire iTunes Media folder back into iTunes (or use one of Doug's scripts that has the same effect), then delete (and don't keep) the recent additions.
Note that warning/prompt is only issued when the files you are removing are located inside the designated iTunes Media folder.

Press the CTRL+B keys and the top bar menu will appear. File/Library/... etc. is on that menu.

My "new improved" itunes seems to be missing some key components. Where is the file button and the others in the upper left corner.

There is no file or other things in the upper left corner. Not even a place to upgrade in the future. I talked to a guy in support today and I told him I was missing that stuff and he helped me navigate better but didn't really help me with the missing elements. Like why is my phone listed under home share sometimes and othertimes it is not.

Problems updating numbers charts in pages - where is that "refresh" button?

I am trying to update a numbers chart that I have included in a pages document, but can't figure how to do it. Seems like I am missing and icon in Pages.
From the help manual from Pages:
*Select the chart on the page and click the Refresh button that appears.*
I keep looking but can't see it. Am I missing something here. Is there a setting somewhere that is not set.
P.S Yes, I saved the Numbers dokument before I copied it into the Pages doc. After updating the chart, I saved it before I returned to the Pages doc.
All help is appreciated.

Sorry for this, but I was thinking about tables and not charts!!!
I figured out the charts issue, but am I correct if I understand that you can't insert Numbers tables to Pages, and then update them (in the same was as the charts?)

I'm trying to burn a voice memo onto cd. When I'm in itunes and insert disc, a window pops up: "You've inserted blank cd, blah...blah...blah, click on "file", then click "burn to disc". Where is the file button?? (itunes Windows 8)

That probably means click on File on the iTunes menu bar, not a "button." Windows has options to show or not show the complete menu bar at the top of the window, so if you do not see the File menu, set it to show the complete menu bar.

Shared thru iTunes: where is the file?

I Created a doc (my resume) in Pages (2.5.2), "shared" it in PDF, via iTunes, but where is that file now? I need to upload it to the job site, but I don't know where to locate it on my iPad. Any ideas?

You cannot open pdf files in Pages. You cannot upload files to websites using Safari on the iPad. You will need to download another browser like iCab Mobile to do that. Where did you create this document? On your Mac? On the iPad?
You have left out some details, or at the very least, weren't very specific. I assume that you created the resume on your Mac and you dragged it into the iTunes file sharing window then synced the iPad. If that is what you did, under normal circumstances, the document will be in the Pages app on your iPad. It does not download to the device until you tap the + sign in the upper left corner, while in document thumbnail view and then select Copy from iTunes. A window will appear with all of the files that you copied into the file sharing window, tap on the one that you want to download to the iPad. But again, you cannot open pdf files in Pages.
IF my assumption is incorrect, please post back with step by step details of what you did.

It sounds like you may have purchased a CreatePDF subscription through safari, using our web interface. If this is the case, the good news is that subscription will also work with the (free) Adobe Reader. Simply install the Reader from the App Store:

Once installed, you can then use "Open In" from another app like Mail to open the Word document in Adobe Reader. Reader will show the word doc, but it will also show you a message pointing to the "convert" button (A document with an arrow through it in the toolbar). Pressing this button should prompt you to sign into Acrobat.com. Use the same account you used to purchase your subscription and Reader will upload the word document for conversion, placing it in the Acrobat.com and Outbox section of the Reader. I'm on Mountain Lion and have version 6.1 of AirPort utility so there is no button to "Disconnect All Users"and the only other option of "removing and re-selecting the drive via Time Machine Prefs" doesn't work either. So this will work.
Launch Airport Utility and select the TC "Edit" button, then select the Disks tab. Deselect "Enable File Sharing" and click "Update". The TC will reboot then follow the same procedure and reselect "Enable File Sharing" and click "Update". After TC reboots again you'll be up and running. Not the neatest way to do it but saves having to unplug the TC which risks disk damage and the whole procedure takes less than a minute.The "Enable File Sharing" button seems to have replaced the "Disconnect All Users" button but with the slight disadvantage that it reboots the TC which takes up additional time.

Where is the file that contains info on previous session info on a Mac? I would like to restore several windows and tabs I had open earlier, but the restore previous session menu item does not appear to be available. I had to install and use an older version of Firefox (3.6) to access a website (Fedtraveler.com) that is not compatible with Firefox 6 and is seems to have cleared out the previous session information. I thought I would use Mac OSX Time machine feature to restore the Firefox file where this the previous session info is kept but I don't know what it is called nor how to find it.

That is the file sessionstore.js in the Firefox Profile Folder.

In the omni.ja file in Firefox Program Files. Open '''about:home''' then right-click and select View Page Source. The path to the aboutHome.xhtml file is in the titlebar. <br />
The problem with editing that file is that every 6 weeks when Firefox is updated you'll probably have to edit that file all over again.
What specifically do you want to tweak? <br />
Additions or changes can usually be accomplished thru a userContent.css file, for most things. <br />

The menu bar is hidden as most commands can be found in the three bar menu. You can show it by pressing Alt, or by right clicking one of the spaces around your address bar and clicking Menu Bar, or by going to the three bar menu:
* [[Image: New Fx Menu]] > Customize > Show / Hide Toolbars > Menu Bar
As for the New Mail Account, are you sure you're not confusing Firefox with Thunderbird, the email application?
