Where is the actions I have recorded

I have just recorded an action and give it the name "SNOW" . Having clicked on the 4 little lines in the top of the action panel so that I can save the action, and pass it on to friends. I find that the "Save Action .... " is greyed out !! I also find that the action I recorded is shown within the default actions window, but I cannot find the "ATN File" anywhere.
Have I done something / Not done something and how do I record an action to save and pass on to my friends?
any suggestions would be most appreciated.

You can only save SETS of actions. Basically you click once on the SET name to highlight it, then use Save Actions.
What set is your action in?
If it's with others you don't want to publish, make a new set, then move it there.

I must confess, I didn't research the answer very well before my first response. It turns out that in the current version of the English edition of Pages User Guide, the phrase "Action Menu" appears 20 times. And to think I don't recall ever seeing it before.
My reading of the guide indicates that the "gear" icon with a disclosure triangle is an Action Menu. They are everywhere, in many contexts besides Tracking, and I always thought of them as the "gear" menu. Dale's graphic gets you close, but his capture isn't quite wide enough to catch the Action Menu icon. It's here:

Where is the Actions Menu Item???

I have PSE8. I am a very amateur user - but have been trying to learn about Actions. But there isnt even a menu item in the Windows drop down menu. What am I doing wrong? Where is it? I downloaded some actions from Pioneer Woman and from MCP but I cant find them or firgure out how to use them. Anyone have a solution for me???

Every time I open photoshop cc the actions I have loaded previously have disapeared and I have to re load them, any ideas ?

Hi I have recently formatted my pc and reinstalled Adobe CC. I have two sets of actions I regularly use and also a little action to flatten images when finished working on them.
Every time I close Photoshop and re open it they have disappeared, all the windows I have set up are all back to the original. The work space if fine as are my Nik filters.
Any help would be appreciated.

Where is the action script?

I'm new to Flash. I've an animated movie clip that I wanna
duplicate. The movieclip is clickable and when it is clicked, the
Movie goes to a specific frame. I wanna duplicate it but change the
frame number to a new one. The problem is I can't find the action
script code associated with this movie clip :( right click then
actions gives nothing, I tried to edit it but I can see no actions
as well :( Is there anyway to get the actionscript associated with

if its AS3, actions are no longer applied directly to the
movie clip. They will most likely exist in the first frame of the
time line (click the frame, then open the actions window) or as an
external .as file. (less likely for a simple movie)
Try to find a frame on your timeline with a small 'a' in it
and use the actions window to look at it and make whatever changes
you need.

No, they don't store your personal purchases on a server so you can download then again and again. They pay royalties to the artists for every download.
If you have them on an ipod, you can get them off of that. Authorize your PC first. Then when you hook up your pod, be SURE to choose *TRANSFER PURCHASES*. Anything else will erase your ipod.

Wls7.0 - where is the action in DeployableAuthorizationProvider.deployPolicy() ?

I noticed that wls7.0 DeployableAuthorizationProvider.deployPolicy()only takes resource
and roles/principals names as parameters. It does not take normal policy files'
"action" as of the parameter. This may make sense for EJB/JSP/Servlet, since the
action there is just a "invocation on the method". But it does seem a bit too restrictive
than necessary - What AuthorizationProvider interface do you use for JMS admin-ed
objects and DB connection pool? Any pointers?

Where is the setting to have a search request open in a new tab?

Where are the Image Settings?

In Adobe's Bridge Reference, it says, "Here are some tips for automating the processing of camera raw image files:
When you record an action, first select Image Settings from the Camera Raw Settings menu [icon appears here] in the Camera Raw dialog box. In this way, the settings particular to each image (from the Camera Raw database or sidecar XMP files) are used to play back the action."
Problem is, I cannot find the Camera Raw Settings menu anywhere in the Camera Raw dialog box, and I cannot find anywhere in the documentation where it tells you how to do what they're recommending here. I'm confused as to whether the action recording takes place in Photoshop (most likely), Bridge, Camera Raw, or the Image Processor. I was under the impression that, of these four, actions can only be created in Photoshop, but now I'm not so sure, since this paragraph says that while the action is being recorded it has to be selected from the Camera Raw dialog box. WHERE DOES ONE FIND "Image Settings" IN THE CAMERA RAW DIALOG BOX?
Edit: Actually, I found the Image Settings selection, but it is still unclear how I can incorporate it into an action. Can I invoke the Camera Raw dialog box while recording an action? if so, how?

Run the Action in a Batch with disabled 'Override Action "Open" Commands' and enabled 'Override Action "Save As" Commands'.

The action for the submit button

I know that when I insert a Submit button I need to go to the
property inspector and point to an action file so it can receive
the data and redirect the visitor to a confirmation page, but I
have no idea how to make that file. Is there a template for
something like that?

Where are the paragraph style tools in Indesign CC2014?

Hi! I've just started using Id through Creative Cloud on a new computer (have been using CC CS6 for two years), and the installer gave me CC2014 rather than CS6. So this is a question only about CC2014.
Where has the paragraph styles window gone? Specifically, how can I edit, create and organise paragraph styles, and how can I get a window up on the main screen with all the styles laid out? All these things were easy to find in CS6, but I can't track them down in CC2014. The only thing I get (and that with a bit of customization). is a drop-down menu in the main toolbar, which allows me to choose from existing options on an existing document.
There is no Paragraph Styles option under Windows>Styles.
There is no Paragraph Styles option under Type.
The only Paragraph window which appears is designed for editing text as you go along, not for applying styles.
The Help options all point me back to the entry for CS6, and tell me to go to Type>Paragraph Styles (which doesn't exist).
I can't get a window up on the main screen to apply styles instantly from a list. I only get that dropdown menu, which has no further options.
Can anyone either point me to some up-to-date guidelines or explain where all the paragraph options have gone and how I can use them? Alternatively, can I revert to CS6? This was easy and intuitive before, and now it's neither...

Yes, that did it. All the old menu options have reappeared. I don't know why they were hidden in the first place - these were things I never needed to set up on either of my previous computers.

CS3 to CS5 - on Windows7 - how do I migrate the actions? Where are the actions stored in windows7? (In XP it used to be in one directory, I remember)
I dont want to reinstall all actions all over again!

Thanks Josh. Worked for me. I could not figure why, after I copied my presets to the laptop (Win 7) my own actions were always missing. I saved them out as sets, then copied the actions.php file to the laptop and there they were!

i just want to check out how the forms Builder work and if i can use it for some little things in our Portal.. so i wanna try the SAP Demo News....
So i think i check how it works.. but i have only one question.. where in the Forms Builder in SAP Demo News is specified where the news are saved when i write one?
So the Standart Path is: \documents\News
So what is if i want to change the path to: \Documents\xyz
Where in the Form i have to specifie this?

You can pass the path as parameter (post/path=) to the url.
For example

Also change the configuration of km folder to your new folder. This will alow to edit the news directly from km folder.
Go to System administration -> System configuration -> Knowledge Management -> Content Management -> Form Based Publishing -> forms availability.
Creat an id with the following properties - the folder path within which the form has to appear for e.g., /documents/News and under the Forms to Include - Mention the XML forms to be included.

Need Help with the Action Wizard...Help please?

I am using the Adobe Action wizard to split documents into multiple pages. Once the docs are split, the Action wizard saves them to a new folder exactly how I want them, however it also moves a copy of the original document into the source folder (Which I do not want) is there a way to stop this from happening?
