Where is the Applescript to Select Enabled or Disabled Tracks?

Hi. I've been trying to locate this Applescript. It gets mentioned in the Read Me for one of the Applescripts from Doug's iTunes Applescripts called: "Move En|Disabled" which by the way is not working because it is not unzipping correctly. I want to be able to look at playlists that are chosen for the iPod, and easily remove all the disabled tracks in them which are taking up precious room in the iPod. I can't locate the Applescript that gets mentioned in that Read Me, but it sounds like it would do the job since it's called "Select En|Disable". This is what it says:
"The core of this script was shamelessly ripped off from Apple's "Select En|Dis-Abled" script. (Does Apple credit us for the scripts it rips off from us? I think not. "
Thanks for any help! And if anyone has a working version of that Applescript from Doug's site, which again, is called "Move En|Disabled" and/or Apple's "Select En|Disabled", please either email them to me or point me in the right direction. Thanks!

Gary, thanks for your help. I do have those scripts, but they don't include the one I'm looking for, which I guess doesn't exist. The one I'm looking for, would be called "Select Enabled/Disabled Tracks", whereas this one is called Disable/Enabled Selected Tracks, which does something entirely different. Ideally after you choose the Applescript that I'm talking about, you would be given a choice: "Select Enabled or Disabled?" Or I suppose, it could be done in two separate scripts, one for selecting enabled tracks, and one for selecting disabled tracks.
Good idea on emailing the man himself, Doug. It's hard to believe that with all the scripts out there, this one doesn't exist. Maybe the author of that "read me" mistakenly named the Appplescript from Apple that I thought existed.

Open Power Manager, select Advanced View, select Battery tab, click on Battery Maintenance. I have read on this forum that some folks have set their thresholds at start charge ~40%, end charge ~80%.

Sometimes I can't get out of Day view in iCal. There is no where on the screen to select month view, even when I close it out and go back into iCal.

Sometimes I am locked in "day" view in iCal. There is no where on the screen to choose "month" view, even when I close it out and open again. Tapping anywhere on the screen or scrolling doesn't help.

Give this a try:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete the contents the following folder: User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try full screen again.
NOTE: For Mavericks and Yosemite, go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:
where you can check the Show Library Folder checkbox.

Where did the time zone selection go when making an event in Calendar?

So in iOS5 and iOS6 there was an option to select the time zone the event was going to be in when creating it in the Calendar app.
Now in iOS7 it appears it is no longer there unless you turn time zone support ON.
I want to be able to have time zone support OFF like I had in iOS5 and 6 and still have the time zone selection option when creating events.
I'm at a loss for why this option was removed. Is there any way to get this back? My coworkers are having issues creating meeting events when out on the road and figuring out the right time zone +/- when moving between time zones.

You can middle-click a tab with the mouse scroll wheel to close that tab.
Did you try Save mode to be sure that it is not caused by an extension or theme?
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Where is the menu to select the waveform monitors and vectorscope?

I feel stupid but I am unable to find the menu to select the waveform monitors and vectorscope in the newest update to PP CC. Any guidance would be most helpful. Happy Halloween!

FWIW - I have set up a Keyboard Shortcut that Displays Waveforms in the Program Monitor.
My wish was for them to be available as a Button Icon but that is not possible.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

I am unsure of what CAN device you are using, as well as what type of programming language you would like to develop in. With that being said I will assume one of our PCI CAN cards and that you will be using LabVIEW to program. Please take a look at the NI-CAN manual for help on programming your CAN card, specifically with reference to chapter 7.

Where are the Applescript documentations ?

Hi List !
I want to create some scripts for iTunes...but I can't find the documentations about iTunes scripting support !
I found this page...

The iTunes icon IS marked with an arrow but there is no scripting documentation available when I click on the link. I Google'd a bit and found nothing...
Can anyone point me to the documentation ?

It's been my experience that very few applications provide explicit "documentation" for their scripting capabilities.
The webpage you referenced does have a download link to some example scripts. Typically Apple's example scripts will be commented fairly well to help you follow what they're doing.
The other type of "documentation" you need to familiarize yourself with is an application's scripting dictionary. Scriptable applications contain a scripting dictionary that you can open and view in Script Editor or Xcode.
Launch Script Editor, select "Window -> Library" to open the Library window, click iTunes, then click the "Open applications dictionary button" (it looks like some books). Note that if for some reason iTunes is not listed in the Library window you can also use "File -> Open Dictionary..." to select an application.

Where did the mail account selection go?

When updating to ios 7 I actually started fresh because I had a few issues with my ipad. I also am running Mavericks on my mac. In itunes, I used to be able to select which of the gazillion mail accounts I wanted on my ipad. That feature seems to be gone. Do I really have to manually add accounts to my ipad or am I missing something?

I am working on a project with SAP BODS 4.2, I need to extract information from SAP ECC 4.6, 5 and 6.
The problem is that the directory where previously BODS versions used to put the transport file (.... \ SAP BusinessObjects \ Data Services \ admin \ R3_Functions) is only one transport, and the readme file has the next sentence:
"This document identifies the content of transport files provided with SAP BusinessObjects Data Services. These files use the SAP Correction and Transport System (CTS) to install the Data Services-provided functions.
For detailed information about installing SAP functions provided by Data Services, see the SAP BusinessObjects Data Services Supplement for SAP.
If you use a provided transport file, it loads the appropriate functions into a single function group /BODS/BODS, which is automatically created in your SAP system.
SAP BASIS 4.6D or earlier: 900187.R22"

I think there will be compatibility issues with BODS 4.1 and ECC 5 or less version.
I am assuming that for BODS 4.1 the ECC version has to be 6.0 version.
Please confirm this details prior implementing

Where is the Safari 5.0.5 "Do Not Track" setting?

The WSJ -- as well as most of the Apple Interest sites -- have promised that there would be a "Do Not Track" setting in the new version of Safari -- namely, and specifically, 5.0.5. For what it's worth, I can't find it. It's not in the "Preferences" settings; there's no privacy tab there at all, actually; it's also not referenced in the Help menu system; and finally, there's no sign of it in the Apple Site. In fact, the only references are all from these 3rd Party groups, starting with the Wall Street Journal.
I'm guessing it may be there somewhere -- the new Firefox actually does have the setting, but it's very difficult to find. Sort of a grudging attitude, I'd say. "You can have it if you can find it, but we're sure not going to help you find it."
Google Chrome, of course, doesn't have it at all: how could they? They make all their money off selling all the information/using all the information they can, in their advertising business model.
So.....I'm guessing that Safari -- in spite of the promises -- doesn't have the "Do Not Track" option, at least not yet. If you can find it, please let me know.

Oh, if your really want to block things you can add a block list to your Hosts file.
1: Download the free Text Wrangler
2: Copy the entire text of this web page:
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.txt
3: Paste into Text Edit
4: Remove line: (important!!)
127.0.0.1 localhost
5: Use Find and Replace change all instances of
127.0.0.1 to 0.0.0.0
6: Save the file onto your desktop for now, any name will do. Leave file open in Text Edit.
7: Launch Text Wrangler and File Open By Name: /etc/hosts
8: Touch nothing you see there (very important)
9: Text Edit and Select all/copy
10: Text Wrangler, mouse to the bottom of the file (add some returns) and click paste.
11: Save the Text Wrangler /etc/hosts file, it will ask for your Admin password.
That's it. you just added a computer level block to all the current malicious sites on the Internet, along with ads, trackers and other nasty business.
All you have to do is update that portion of the /etc/hosts file every few months using the same methods above without deleting the original /etc/hosts file contents.
You shoudl save a copy of the original /etc/hosts file just in case you delete it by accident.
If you want to block any site on the Internet, just add a line and (example, like so) 0.0.0.0 www.facebook.com
If you want to unblock a site just put a # symbol in front of any line for the comptuer to "ignore this line"
What this does is resolves the domain name for certain malicious/ad sites before it asks your Domain Name Server for the correct IP of these sites.
Because you use 0.0.0.0 it's "nothing" and the site fails to load.
Note: All responsiblity is yours if you screw things up or have any problem using this method to block sites.
