Where is the apps icon so I can transfer stuff from my computer to my iphone?
I am trying to download items from my computer to my Iphone but in the help it says to connect my iphone then click apps where is the apps? on the computer or on the iphone and where on the computer?

I have been having similar issues, but recently found something that works for my ipad air. Not sure if this will help you but...
In your itunes client music library:
Right click on one music file
Hover over the Add to Playlist option
Select a playlist from your iphone in the side popup window
See if that helps move the music file over. If it does, test out the original drag and drop on a new file. The move to playlist option seemed to clear whatever blockage I had and I'm not dragging and dropping with ease. -
I have been trying to sync my new iPhone 4 to my itunes account. I want to transfer stuff from my 3GS to this phone. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have uninstalled itunes and all apple components and reinstalled and no success. It shows the phone sync when itunes comes up and then when I click on the phone on the right side it will just disappear and I want to get to the menu where I can I back up info from 3gs to this new phone.
Thanks for all the help and suggestions.I have little idea what this is all about but unless you are sure it is an iTunes question and not anything to do with the receiver you are better off trying to get support for a hardware specific issue on the manufacturer's support services. You'll get a lot of people here who know iTunes but you're going to have to be fortunate to get one with that specific model receiver.

I for the first time since buying my iphone and ipods for almost three years am concedering getting rid of them as I am getting tired of this problem. I can sync anything from my computer to the iphone. I can not sync movies bought on the iphone to my computer. I have tried everything and spent days trying to trouble shoot. I literally have bought hundreds of movies off Itunes but will not buy any thing else until I can figure this problem out. I have uninstalled Itunes reinstalled, troubles shooted using the itunes trouble shooter and reset my phone and nothing works.
When I try to sync from my phone to the computer it says it can not be done because the iphone is not hooked up to the computer. I have only had these problesm since the new update not before. I have bought new cables twice to see if it helped and has not. Both my kids have Ipods, I have a Iphone and was planning on buying two Ipads for the kids for Christmas but not if I can fix this.You are correct. Syncing should transfer any purchased media, including videos, from your device to your iTunes library provided your computer is authorized for the Apple ID used to make these purchases. You mentioned that you have uninstalled iTunes before, but if you didn't follow this guide exactly, uninstalling iTunes and all of its components in the order specified, it may not have been successful so you should try again: Windows XP or Windows Vista/7.

Where is the Messages icon? How can I get it back?

I have an iPhone5 running iOS 6.1.4.
Today I noticed that the Messages icon was gone. If I double hit the Home button it still shows as a recently used app - so I still can send and receive texts but the icon is not on the Home screen where it usually is.
I performed a Sync but Messages isn't on the list of apps anyway inside iTunes.
How do I get the Messages icon back?

J2The Messages app is a native iOS app and as such cannot be deleted. If you go to search screen and type it in, over to the right, does it identify a folder it is in. Usually this is what happens, it gets accidently dragged into a folder, or on another page. If you cannot find it that way, try a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. After the phone restarts, see if you find it. If not, then go to Settings, General, Reset, Reset Home Screen Layout. That should bring it back.

Mount your device and double click on it to open it. Drag this window to the upper right of your Desktop and resize it to a bit less than half of your Desktop.
Open the next folder and position it on the lower left side and resize it so you can still see the previous window. -
I have an iPhone 4. I would like to transfer music from my HP computer to the phone. The music appears on my iTunes page on the computer but I cannot figure out how to transfer it to the phone. I'd also like to transfer the phone numbers on my phone to my computer (so I can keep them on my backup drive in case something happens to the phone). When I connect the computer and the phone, it says it's 'syncing' but I certainly can't figure out what's being 'synced'. The only thing I've ever been able to transfer at all are photos from the phone to the computer. If I must upgrade my phone system to 6.1 to do thi, I am reluctant to try that because it says I must save things or they will be lost (e.g. music I've purchased, phone directory, etc) - which I have no clue how to do. My nearest Apple store can only be reached by plane (in Honolulu). Thanks for any help.

Apps for iPhone bought with the iTunes app on a Mac or PC can be downloaded onto an iPhone by opening the App Store app on the iPhone, signing into your account, going to the Purchases list and downloading the app. -
I'm trying to get photos transfered from my computer to my Ipad. My Itunes does not have a 'Photo' folder to place my photos. I can find everything but a 'Photo' folder (Movies, Podcasts, IUniv, Books etc). Any thoughts?

you can do it by creating sub-folders within the folder that is selected to be synced.
e.g. Folder "Photo" has been selected to be synced to your iPad.
Create two sub-folders e.g. "Family" and "Vacation" within "Photo" folder and put photos in both sub-folders instead of "Photo" folder.
Now sync your photos and in photo's tab, after you have selected "Photo" folder to be synced, make sure you select all Folders as example below:
Once completed you will find both folders "Family" and "Vacations" are in your iPad's album including Camera Roll. e.g. below: -
Where Did the App Icon Preview Go?
Prior to version 11, there was a small thumbnail preview in the bottom-left corner of the iTunes window that displayed the icon of the selected app. Since updating to iTunes 11, this feature is nowhere to be found.
This feature is crucial to me because I have nearly 800 apps in my library, and I must be able to quickly navigate through them.
If Apple did away with this option, could you please direct me to instructions on how to downgrade back to the last stable version of iTunes 10??

Have you tried rebooting the device? Hold down on the sleep and home buttons until the Apple logo appears on the screen. If this fails, connect it to a power source and try again holding them for at least 20 seconds.
