Where is the binary file come from in $ORACLE_HOME/dbs ???

I installed new database and created a basic init.ora file with a setup of RMAN using control file for backup. When the database is up running, I got a binary file c-1783536203-20090218-01 in $ORACLE_HOME/dbs. The size is about 7MB. I removed it. But it will created back after a little while. Where should I configure in db or rman to eliminate the file? The database seems running fine.
Thanks for advice.

Hi
Yes, you are right. It is auto backup controlfile. But I am using the same rman configuration for several databases. This is the only one produces the control file like that name and created in $ORACLE_HOME/dbs. All others are created in the /backup directory, not happen like that (creating file in $ORACLE_HOME/dbs).
Here is the configuration for RMAN on control file:
CONFIGURE CONTROLFILE AUTOBACKUP ON;
CONFIGURE CONTROLFILE AUTOBACKUP FORMAT FOR DEVICE TYPE DISK TO '%F'; # default
CONFIGURE SNAPSHOT CONTROLFILE NAME TO '/backup/cntp/online/snapcf_cntp.f';
I have to change just for this database in the rman (all rman are using control file not catalog):
CONFIGURE CONTROLFILE AUTOBACKUP ON;
CONFIGURE CONTROLFILE AUTOBACKUP FORMAT FOR DEVICE TYPE DISK TO '/backup/cntp/online/controlfile_auto%F';
CONFIGURE SNAPSHOT CONTROLFILE NAME TO '/backup/cntp/online/snapcf_cntp.f';
Is there something else I have change to be able to use the configure setting like all other databases?
Thanks.

    When my wife tries to update one of her apps a strange Apple ID pops up. Her Apple ID is correct in settings and in the apple store. What does this mean? Where did the other one come from?

    There is something on your iPhone (a music file, iBook, document or video) that belongs to another Apple ID.  Only your wife would know how that file arrived there.  Your iPhone is asking for the correct Apple ID for all of the files that are resident on the iPhone.

  • Where do the serial numbers come from?

    I am new to ALM. I get how it is supposed to work. My question is where to the serial numbers come from? I assign my e-licenses to a serial number and all is good. But, we have purchased MANY copies of Acrobat Pro v.8 and I only see three serial numbers to assign e-license to?!?!?!?!?!
    Thanks!
    - Dave

    Dave,
    If you have purchased through one of Adobe's AOO licensing programs, you can find your serial numbers by going to "Retrieve serial numbers" in the Licensing Web Site. Here you should find one Windows and one Mac serial number for Acrobat 8 Pro. You can use these serial numbers for all the copies of Acrobat you have purchased -- you will not receive a new serial number for every copy.

  • Where does the default route come from ?

    Dear All
    As we know, the edge router in client side gets default route from ISP' edge router. Where does the default route come from in ISP? If the ISP edge router has full route table, it produces there. If not, it comes from its upstream router until full routes table(only BGP). Please correct me if I am wrong. Thank you.

    Hello.
    While establishing BGP with ISP, there are three options for a client:
    > Default route (used in general) - client router forwards every request (for destination route) to ISP router.
    > Full route - ISP router's complete routing table would be received and maintained in client router.
    > Partial route - Only specific route would be received from ISP (Head office - Branch office scenario)
    ISP generate default route from their peering router that should have full routing table or knowledge of the router having it. A local ISP may generate default to their client and have one received from their upstream or global / larger ISP. Hope this helps.

  • Where are the iPhoto files separate from the program?

    Hi.
    I am running iPhoto 8.1 in Leopard 10.5.6 on my early 2008 MacBook Pro 15".
    I want to "backup" my iPhoto files. How I used to do this before Leopard, was to go into Pictures and find my iPhoto folder and there, I would find all the folders of my imports from my camera, numbered and in order by years, also. I would them just drag and drop each folder into Toast, and when it reached a DVD volume, I would burn a disc.
    Now, in Leopard, I cannot find the iPhoto Files Folder. Every way I have tried to access it, I end up with iPhoto and when i click, it opens the program. SO what I have is the open program with the photos in the events.
    How do I find and Where is the iPhoto Files Folder.
    Thank you.
    Waiting for your replies!

    How I used to do this before Leopard, was to go into Pictures and find my iPhoto folder and there,
    This has nothing to do with Leopard or the Operating System.
    With iPhoto 7 (iLife 08) the old iPhoto Library Folder became a Package File. This is simply a folder that looks like a file in the Finder. The change was made to the format of the iPhoto library because many users were inadvertently corrupting their library by browsing through it with other software or making changes in it themselves.
    Want to look inside? Select the iPhoto Library and right click on it. From the resulting menu select 'Show package Contents'. A Finder window will open with the Library exposed.
    Standard Warning: Don't change anything in the iPhoto Library Folder via the Finder or any other application. iPhoto depends on the structure as well as the contents of this folder. Moving things, renaming things or otherwise making changes will prevent iPhoto from working and could even cause you to damage or lose your photos.
    I would find all the folders of my imports from my camera, numbered and in order by years, also. I would them just drag and drop each folder into Toast, and when it reached a DVD volume, I would burn a disc.
    Any time you access the iPhoto Library via the Finder or any other application you risk damaging the Library.
    If you want to burn a back up using Toast then use the Media Browser built in to Toast or any of the following:
    There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:
    *For Users of 10.5 Only*
    You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Apple-Click for selecting multiple pics.
    Uploaded with plasq's Skitch!
    You can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
    Uploaded with plasq's Skitch!
    *For users of 10.4 and 10.5* ...
    Many internet sites such as Flickr and SmugMug have plug-ins for accessing the iPhoto Library. If the site you want to use doesn’t then some, one or any of these will also work:
    To upload to a site that does not have an iPhoto Export Plug-in the recommended way is to Select the Pic in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export the pic to the desktop, then upload from there. After the upload you can trash the pic on the desktop. It's only a copy and your original is safe in iPhoto.
    This is also true for emailing with Web-based services. However, if you're using Gmail you can use iPhoto2GMail
    If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
    If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
    *If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running*:
    Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
    Other options include:
    1. *Drag and Drop*: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
    2. *File -> Export*: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
    3. *Show File*: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

  • Where are the binary files after installing Studio 11?

    I installed Sun Studio 11 but could not find the binary files under SUNWspro/prod/bin.
    Currently we are using Workshop 6 Update 2 that has the binary files in the directory of

  • Where did these *.tmp files come from?

    Hi all,
    When i run my web application under tomcat, i noticed that there are handards of temp files with name like "scb_14064.tmp", "srt_14077.tmp" are generated under my %tomcat_home%/temp folder. I am very sure that in did not use any temp files in my program, where on earth does these from come from and how to prevent them?

    I will try to put keywords so people find this thread.
    Thanks to liaoyunhe we found "fast" the origin of our problem.
    The problem is itself related to the usage of Microsoft's JDBC driver for SQL 2000 service pack 3 (why to use M$-$QL on java?).
    We currently use the same code with Postgres and also with JTDS drivers and there is no such problem.
    What liaoyunhe says is absolutely true: you have to close ALL resultsets and ALL statements so there is no problem with the srt scb files.
    We were stressing the application and after a while we got an "Too many files open" exception and we were able to count 39.000 srt+scb files with lsof.
    After carefully reviewing our code, we found that we were not closing one resultset on a connection we re-use and the tmps were created and not released.
    Thanks again liaoyunhe.
    Thanks Micro$oft for giving us some extra work :-)

  • Help with Muse form - random order on test and where did the case number come from?

    Hi
    Fairly new to Muse but finding my way around. Created a simple form, added extra lines, changed labels and reordered etc to suit our needs. All looks fine in design stage. When I published and tested the form, the email submission I received has a different order for the form fields, so they are no longer logical and do not follow the order shown on the design stage. Any reason and/or any advice on how to fix this? The data needs to match an internal system for ease of use but Muse seems to have its own ideas about which order we should receive the field data from the submitted form!?
    Also, there appears to be a randon 'case number' as part of the email submission. I have not created a field for this - where has it come from, and how do I get rid of it?
    Many thanks in advance for time spent assisting

    Hi
    Please share the site url and screenshot of form fields in design mode and received notification in email.
    Thanks,

  • Where did the "Archive" mailbox come from and how do I ditch it

    Converting a Mac from SL to Mav and something new popped up. In the list of mailboxes below trash is one labled Archive. What is it? Where did it come from and how do I ditch it? It is empty.

    If you are using Gmail, it is the All Mail label that has always existed, but Snow Leopard didn't show it.
    You can disable it in Gmail's settings under Labels. Set it to not show in IMAP.
    Some people experience problems when doing that, though. I did not.
    I set up my Gmail as shown in this blog post: http://jeffschuette.com/2012/03/07/setting-up-apple-mail-to-rock-and-roll-with-g mail/
    I didn't want Gmail storing emails that I had deleted, so I used his setup to stop it, and I also hid the All Mail folder from Mail.

  • Where did the phantom volume come from?

    I have an internal hard drive that is divided into two partitions, on one partition is OS 9 (Macintosh HD) the other is X–Tiger (Macintosh X). A new, grayed out, unmounted hard drive/volume (Named Macintosh HD) seems to have appeared out of nowhere. When I select it in Disk Utility, it says that it's an HFS volume and it's unmounted using about 128 mb of space. It's as if another partition (3rd) tagged onto the original two.
    Where did it come from? Can I get rid of it?
    TIA
    Geoff

    Hi, Geoff -
    It sounds like the HFS wrapper may have become sort of visible. There's a bit of info about the wrapper in this article -
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=31056
    Whether that indicates a problem, I don't know - but I would obtain and run Alsoft's DiskWarrior, which does have the ability to repair damage to an HFS wrapper.

  • Where are the .java files compiled from .jsp files stored?

              hi,
              I'm new to weblogic server. When I use Tomcat as the jsp server, it compiles .jsp
              files to .java files and then .class files. So when an error reported I can track
              it in the .java file.
              But what should I do with weblogic? It only saves the .class files in the work
              dir. Or is there a better way to trace errors in jsp files?
              Thanks!

    This should give you the information you need to set the keepgenerated flag:
              http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs60/jsp/admin.html#53346
              Also, the .java files will be right next to the .class files with are under
              a tmp directory in the /WEB-INF directory under the WEB-INF if it is an open
              directory or in the
              config/mydomain/applications/.wl_temp_do_note_delete/WEB-INF directory if it
              is .war file.

  • HT204266 Where did the security questions come from??

    Where did the security questions for a iPAd app purchase?

    They were setup up when you created the Apple ID. If you don't remmeber them, you can go to appleid.apple.com and reset them there.

  • Where does the base tag come from?

    We have two seperate very simple apps. On one of the apps, when the container serves the JSP, it inserts a <base> tage which is dynamically set to the physical server name. ex)
    <html>
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252">
    <base href="http://XXXX.XXXX.com:7777/VendorValidator/">
    <title>Validate XML Schemas</title>
    Our other application doesn't have this, and they appear to be coded the same.
    This value appears to be used to resolve any relative paths.
    Questions:
    - Where/why is this being inserted?
    - Is this a deployment configuration (application or server)?
    - Is this in our code somewhere that I can't find?
    - Is there a setting i can use to set what that value will be?

  • Where did the extra space come from?

    I was trying to transfer my data from my old PC to my new laptop this didn't work but when i plug my iPo mini into the charger in my memory the other space is nearly as large as the audio space. How do I get rid of this?

    "I was trying to transfer my data from my old PC to my new laptop"
    Other can be Album Artwork, Notes, Contacts, Firmware etc. It can also be files such as you describe above that you left on there after using the iPod as a removable storage device. If you feel that Other is being incorrectly reported then try restoring your iPod. Restoring will erase the iPod's hard drive, reload the software and put it back to default settings. Once the restore is complete follow the on screen instructions and it should connect to iTunes and give you a prompt to automatically update your library onto the fresh installation. If you want to update manually or using selected playlists choose no and it will default to manual mode and you can choose whatever setting you like: Restoring iPod to factory settings with iTunes 7
