Where is the bookmark all tabs function?

I recently updated from a very early version of FF to 13.0.1 and the bookmark all tabs in the Bookmarks menu is gone. I always use that function so i desperately need it.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

The "Bookmark All Tabs Function" didn't dissapear. It was... NEEDLESSLY REMOVED by some very unwise and unthinking individuals.
There is No RATIONAL Reason to do away with a highly useful function that MILLIONS of Firefox users ALREADY Knew How to Find, and WERE ALREADY USING, without ever having to think about it. !
Anyone New to Firefox will (logically) look under "Bookmarks "on the "Menu Bar " for... Things that Relate to Bookmarks. This ORIGINAL Layout was... Simple, Logical, Obvious, Intuitive, and Easy to Find !
Switching to Control+Shift+D is... NOT Simple, or Logical, or Obvious, or Intuitive. AND, I had to... WASTE CONSIDERABLE TIME trying to Find how to get the functionally that was in Firefox... From The Beginning, and Used By Millions of Users.
I trade stocks online (daily) and I USE a "Screen Capture" app Multiple Times a Day, Which ALSO USES Control+Shift+D to make a Screen Capture. So, when I Need to Save Multiple Tabs, I now have to shut the screen capture app down, do the Control+Shift+D, and then open the screen capture app again.
All of this because the people at Firefox have become Downright COMPULSIVE about FORCING... NEEDLESS, CONFUSING, Un-Thinking, Mindless, and Destructive changes to the Layout and Functionality of the platform that causes MILLIONS of Users to... WASTE MILLIONS of MAN Hours to try to figure out how to use something that... They Already Knew How to Use !
In searching for a solution to this Needless Problem, I ran across a forum where people were Needlessly searching for a solution to this Man Made Problem, the "Moderator" gives the Control+Shift+D "Solution", Offers No Rational for the Needless Change, and then gos on to say that He Will Be GLAD when this functionality is... REMOVED COMPLETELY !
I assume that the management at Firefox would like to have their browser as widely accepted and used by "Enterprise" as possible. If so, this sort of un-thinking Change just for the sake of change, needs to... Stop.
I have run two national companies, and I can assure you that I would Go To Considerable Lengths to AVOID Any Software that my company would have to PAY employees to stop constructive work just to constantly Re-Learn how to use the software, not to mention Endless Updates and Bug Fixes. There can be very large sums of money involved in such Avoidable Wastes of Productivity. These are some of the reasons why companies go so long before "updating" to new Microsoft releases, whose stock has been flat for yhe last 10 years. ( and is now facing some Real Competion.)
The Firefox people are always pushing updates, which are good for security reasons, but the unending changes to the GUI and the Functionality are Not Appreciated. They are despised for very real and rational reasons.
If you will through your own forums, and do a few web searches, you will find that users around the world have gone from looking forward to Firefox updatees (in the early releases), to avoiding them like the plague, or switching to other browsers completely.
Someone once said: "If it ain't Broke, Don't Fix it."
Someone else said: "The only thing worse than Being Wrong, is... Staying Wrong."
I'm saying that if you find that you have shot yourself in the foot...
1. Stop Shooting... IMMEDIATELY !
2. FIX Your Foot
3. Take SERIOUS MEASURES to Make Certain that You DON'T... Shoot Yourself in the Foot Again !
Give the users a Firefox that they are Comefortable With and don't have to Constantly Mess With, and you will be will on your way to wide Acceptance, and Loyalty by everyone, including the "enterprise" world.
Leave the "tweaks" alone. These can be supplied by your Ad-on community, and the users will either accept them or not. The Customer is always right.
NEVER, EVER, EVER, REMOVE a FUNCTIONALITY Unless it is a SECURITY THREAT ! You WILL Make a LOT of People Mad if you do, and you will Destroy what Loyalty that hasn't already been lost.

  • In Firefox 4, where is the "Bookmark ALL Tabs" function? I really need this function and have downgraded back to F3, having not found it in 4.

Not sure what extra details to provide past what I have already asked. Thanks for the help, though.

Some menu entries are hidden by default and only appear if you use the keyboard to open the menu.
"Bookmark All Tabs" and "Bookmark All Tabs" in the Bookmarks menu are among them.<br />
You can see the difference if you use Alt+F or Alt+B to the File and Bookmarks menu and compare that to what you see if you use the mouse to open the menu after you have made the menu bar visible by pressing Alt or by pressing F10.
    * "Bookmark This Page" and "Bookmark All Tabs" no longer show in the Bookmarks menu unless you open the Bookmarks menu via the keyboard (Alt + B).
    * "Bookmark This Page" can be accessed via the right-click context menu of that browser page.
    * "Bookmark All Tabs" can be accessed via the right-click context menu of a tab on the tab bar.

  • I am using FireFox 4. Where is the "Bookmark All Tabs-" feature. I would like to save my Tabs for a later session. The selection is not on the menu when I right-mouse click or go to the Bookmarks feature of the Menu.

Missing "Bookmark All Tabs…" feature which was in previous versions of FireFox 3.x. If you right-mouse click on a neutral part of the Browser window, there would be choice of "Bookmark this page" or "Bookmark All Tabs…". I have been unable to find it either in the sub-menu or the BOOKMARK selection from the Menu Bar.

What do you mean by Tabs sub-menu is it right-clicking on a tab ?
I know that "ctrl-shift-D" still work.
I know that a right-click on a tab gives the "Bookmark all Tabs" function.
But I would like to see it back in the Bookmarks menu. (which is its logical place)
Because today the choice only disappeared from the menu as it is still reachable through keyboard shortcut or through mouse right-click on a tab
but tomorrow it will totally disappear and personally I don't want that as this is one of my favorite functionality.
Tank you for your understanding !

  • Where is the Bookmarks backup/restore function ?

Where is the Bookmark backup/restore function ?

wchapgm: Please ref cor-el's response. Pretty informative.
And, Thank You both for your kind attention and assistance.
Lastly, note that there seems 2-B another issue.
The backup file format used in the older version isn't recognized by the new version !
So, unless I can find a work-around, I'll have to resort to some "manual transfers" of those resources.

Right-click on a tab to see the '''Bookmark All Tabs...''' menu item.
    Or use '''{Ctrl + Shft + D}'''.

  • BOOKMARK ALL TABS FUNCTION STOPPED WORKING IN FIREFOX 21

After installing FF21 (win7 pro) when I tried to "bookmark all tabs" from an open tab context menu, instead of the place for the name of the save being blank, it had the name of an old bookmark that seemed to be random. I restarted FF and restarted in Safe Mode, but that did not fix anything. Then I reset FF and that did not fix anything. In fact now when I click Ctrl+Shift+D or use the tab context menu I get a dialog like I am saving a new bookmark, not bookmarking all tabs. There is a place for the
    Name
    Location
    Folder
    Tags
    Keyword
The only add-ons I activated after doing the reset are Numext 0.7.3, Theme and Font Changer 7.1, and Roboform 7.8.9.5, all of which I have been using for years with no prior problems.
Note: After doing the reset, I tried Bookmark all tabs before I enabled any add-ons, and experienced the same problem.
I have a screenshot of what I get when I try to use bookmark all tabs.

When I tried Ctrl+Shift+D, I was getting the Bookmark all tabs dialog box - the same one I have always gotten when I used the context menu, and the same one I have been getting for ages to bookmark all tabs. . See the screenshot
I tried deleting the places.sqlite files in both profiles, and that did not solve the problem, so I just completely uninstalled FF and reinstalled it. If I had the time I might have tried a bunch of other solutions, but reinstalling was much faster, as my bookmarks were recently backed up.

  • Where is the option to close multiple tabs? It used to be a Right Click in the "List All Tabs" function. Now it's gone!

Well I figured out how to get the Tab Bar back where it should, down below where you can easily get to it, but now I see that the "Close All Other Tabs" option which used to be in the right click menu of the "List All Tabs" arrow has disappeared.
Is there anyway to get that back? This design change is really not as good as 3.5. Also tell that person to slow down. Who can understand what he's saying?
    Thanks!

In Firefox 4 the Tab Bar is a regular toolbar and that causes the toolbar context menu to show if you right click.
You can right click the tab that you want to keep to "Close Other Tabs"

  • What happened to the Bookmark all Tabs/Save and Exit/Open previous session feature in 4.0? If this has been taken out then 4.0 is of no use to me. I'll have to go back to 3.6

In 3.6 when ever I closed the browser with multi tabs open it would give me the option to Save and Exit. Then when I reopened the browser it would give me the option to open the previous session. I could also bookmark all open tabs. All of these features appear to no longer be present in 4.0. If this is the case I will be forced to uninstall and reinstall 3.6.

Bookmark All Tabs - you can get it when you right-click on a tab, or use keyboard shortcut Control+Shift+D.
Firefox now always stores the old session, and you can access it by going to the History menu and selecting "Restore Previous Session"
If you want Firefox to display the message to save the session, it can be turned back on by changing some preferences.
    # Type '''about:config''' into the location bar and press enter
    # Accept the warning message that appears, you will be taken to a list of preferences
    # Locate the preference '''browser.tabs.warnOnClose''', if its value is set to '''false''', double-click on it to change its value to '''true'''
    # Repeat this for these 3 preferences '''browser.warnOnQuit''', '''browser.warnOnRestart''' and '''browser.showQuitWarning'''
If you always open the last set of tabs, an alternative approach is this:
    # Click the orange Firefox button, then select options to open the options window
    # Go to the General panel
    # Change the setting "When Firefox starts" to "Show my windows and tabs from last time"

  • How do I save the same bookmark in the same folder more than once using the bookmark all tabs feature in FireFox 21?

I was able to do this previously. Recently however, firefox has only been allowing me to save one of the same webpage per bookmark folder. odd request I am aware, however, it is necessary to my usage of the program to make long lists of associated items.

    That is not possible.<br />
When you sue Bookmark all tabs then duplicate tab won't get stored separately, but only one occurrence of a specific URL, so you would need to distinguish them e.g. by adding an anchor (#&lt;random_nr&gt;).
You would need to save a list of currently open tabs to achieve this.
Extracting the links from a sessionstore.js file might be the easiest way to achieve this.

  • I'm using the great Firefox 5.o. What happened to the "Bookmark All Tabs" feature that used to be found under Bookmarks? I love Mozilla Firefox!!!! :-)

I've looked under the Bookmarks heading as well as History. What happened to the extremely useful "Bookmark All Tabs". Loved that feature of Firefox. Thank you!!!!!!

Right-click '''on''' a Tab to see that menu item or use {Ctrl + Shft + D}.
In conjunction with the new Firefox button in Firefox 4.0 and with the addition of some new features that added a number of new menu items, many of the older menu items were moved around or only appear under certain conditions. It can be a bit confusing until you get used to the changes, but beyond adding new menu items in the future for new features, I don't think there will be major changes like that for awhile.

  • How do I get the right-click-on-tab - "Bookmark all tabs" to put the bookmarks in a folder of my choosing without creating a subdirectory named "[Folder Name]

Every time I create a new folder, say on the bookmarks toolbar, like "REOPEN 6-13-14" and use the "Bookmark all Tabs" function to create bookmarks to reopen later, it creates a sub directory in the new folder called [Folder Name]. If I have 4 windows open with multiple tabs and do this, it creates 4 separate [Folder Name] folders in the "REOPEN...." folder. Really want to just add all bookmarks into one big folder to reopen later.

If you use "Bookmarks All Tabs" then Firefox will always create a new folder with the name that you specify in the location that you specify.
If you do not change the default name then it keeps [Folder Name] for its name.
This also happens if there is already a folder with the same name and you thus get multiple folders with the same name.

  • Bookmark all tabs missing in Firefox 4.01?

I have used the 'bookmark all tabs' function in Firefox for several years. I just recently upgraded to FF 4.01 (I really like it BTW) but the bookmark all tabs menu item is missing. Please advise if there is another way to accomplish this function.
    Thanks, RW

Some menu entries are hidden if you use the mouse and only appear if you use the keyboard to open the menu (Bug 626825).
You can see the difference if you use Alt+F or Alt+B to open the "File" and "Bookmarks" menu and compare that to what you see if you use the mouse to open the menu after you have made the menu bar visible by tapping Alt or by pressing F10.
    * "Bookmark All Tabs" (Shift+Ctrl+D) no longer shows in the Bookmarks menu unless you open the Bookmarks menu via the keyboard (Alt + B).
    * "Bookmark This Page" can be accessed via the right-click context menu of that browser page.
    * "Bookmark All Tabs" can be accessed via the right-click context menu of a tab on the tab bar.

  • How can I update an already saved "bookmark all tabs" group with a current group of tabs? Or add only the changes??

    Example of problem:
I have already saved a group of tabs using the "bookmark all tabs" feature.
I open that group of tabs in a new browser window.
Then I modify that group of tabs that I have open, adding new ones, removing old ones.
How can I replace the existing tab group with the new tabs?
Is there an option to just add the new ones that I have opened and keep all the others even if I have removed some of the old ones from the currently opened group?
...another issue: can I share bookmarks online? What are the options for this?

    You can't do that.<br />
Each time you use "Bookmark All Tabs" a new folder is created, even if you give the folder the same name, so you will have to do any merging yourself in the Bookmarks Manager or just create a new group and discard (delete) the previous group.
If you want to share bookmarks online then you need to use a web based service that offers such a feature like Delicious.
