Where is the bookmark 'auto-click' column?

Can anyone tell me how to make the auto-click column appear in the bookmark window of Safari?
Thanks.

Yes, the column is "Auto-Click" not Auto-Tab". I bet you only see it available for folders on your Bookmarks Bar with a check-box appearing only besides the folders on the Bookmarks Bar.
Note that without Auto-Click enabled, you can automatically open all tabs by Command-Clicking on a folder on the Bookmarks Bar. With Auto-Click enabled, the operation is reversed and Command-Clicking will give you a drop-down list of the folder's contents.

One file named '''places.sqlite''' in your Profile folder, which also contains your browsing history.

    Where is the bookmarks stored?
I Install the Firefox once again since I upgrade my computer.
And I try to move the bookmarks from the old computer to the new one.
But I can't find anyone of them.
Is there any folder just like "favourite" to store the html file?
I really want to find out the bookmarks because actually i can't remember all the website that are important to me~ URGENT!!!~THANKS~

You can move file named places.sqlite from your old profile to the new one. It contains bookmarks and browsing history.
Here's a knowledge base article about it: [[Recovering important data from an old profile]]
If you don't care about saving your current bookmarks, you can skip creating new profile (Firefox does it by itself at first run anyway).
I'd might suggest you to install addon https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2410/|Xmarks Bookmark and Password Sync]. It is a free web service which synchronizes bookmarks and (optionally) passwords with central server, and then to other computers, if you installed it on more. You may treat is as a backup too.

  • Where is the Bookmarks backup/restore function ?

Where is the Bookmark backup/restore function ?

wchapgm: Please ref cor-el's response. Pretty informative.
And, Thank You both for your kind attention and assistance.
Lastly, note that there seems 2-B another issue.
The backup file format used in the older version isn't recognized by the new version !
So, unless I can find a work-around, I'll have to resort to some "manual transfers" of those resources.

  • Can the bookmarks be portable to other Macs and if so, where is the bookmark file found?

Would like to coordinate bookmarks from one Mac to another. Can I just setup my master bookmarks on my MBP, then move that library file wherever it lives to another Mac? Where do the bookmark files reside?

    Hi Thomas
if you want an exact replica of the bookmarks, including the bookmarks bar - copy
Home/Library/Safari/Bookmarks.plist to the same folder on the second mac, with Safari quit.
If you want to add to those already there - it's the same file, but use Safari - File - Import Bookmarks... on mac #2
this will create a new 'collection' in Bookmarks containing all those on mac #1, but won't erase any existing ones.

  • I am using FireFox 4. Where is the "Bookmark All Tabs-" feature. I would like to save my Tabs for a later session. The selection is not on the menu when I right-mouse click or go to the Bookmarks feature of the Menu.

Missing "Bookmark All Tabs…" feature which was in previous versions of FireFox 3.x. If you right-mouse click on a neutral part of the Browser window, there would be choice of "Bookmark this page" or "Bookmark All Tabs…". I have been unable to find it either in the sub-menu or the BOOKMARK selection from the Menu Bar.

What do you mean by Tabs sub-menu is it right-clicking on a tab ?
I know that "ctrl-shift-D" still work.
I know that a right-click on a tab gives the "Bookmark all Tabs" function.
But I would like to see it back in the Bookmarks menu. (which is its logical place)
Because today the choice only disappeared from the menu as it is still reachable through keyboard shortcut or through mouse right-click on a tab
but tomorrow it will totally disappear and personally I don't want that as this is one of my favorite functionality.
Tank you for your understanding !

  • Where has the bookmarks click on gone? I cant find any of mine anymore!!!

The bookmarks heading has gone from the tool bar. I cannot access my bookmarks. Why is this?

Check that you still have the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" placed on the Bookmarks Toolbar
If the menu bar is hidden then press F10 or hold down the Alt key, that should make the "Menu Bar" appear
Make sure that all the toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
    * Check in "View > Toolbars > Customize" that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
    * If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the Customize window onto the Bookmarks Toolbar
    * If you do not see the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" or other items that are missing in the toolbar palette or on a toolbar then click the "Restore Default Set" button

  • Where has the bookmark sort option gone from the right mouse click in the bookmark panel?

I used to be able to right click on the bookmark toolbar and sort the bookmarks in alphabetic order, this seems to be missing from the right click menu in versions 3.xx

Click on Bookmarks. Top of list click show all bookmarks which takes you to the library. Left side under All bookmarks, right Click on Bookmark Menu which will show as black print (not grey) and click sort by name. Will sort in alpha order.

    Hi,
The '''places.sqlite''' file in your [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] stores the bookmarks and the history. This is what you see in '''Bookmarks''' ('''Alt''' + '''B''') and '''History''' ('''Alt''' + '''S''') or in the window of '''Show All History''' ('''Ctrl''' + '''Shift''' +'''H''') and '''Show All Bookmarks''' ('''Ctrl''' + Shift + '''B'''). The '''bookmarkbackups''' folder in your profile contains dated backups of just the bookmarks which shows up in '''Import and Backup''' > '''Restore''' section of the '''Show All History''' / '''Show All Bookmarks''' window.

  • Where did the old left click shortcut go - to 'make link'?

Aloha, Please tell me if there is a way to make a link like there was prior to installing the 10.4.11 update.
Before i installed that update i was able to press control & click and the pop up menu would give me the quick option 'make link' from the link text i typed. Now, since i have installed the update, it is gone and some of my links don't automatically become links; in email they seem to but on, for example, myspace they do not.
Please tell me if there is a shortcut to get to that sweet, quick and easy old 'make link' option.
    many mahalo's

    But, Simon...
where is the link to mail?
I did use your link (as I have before) but nowhere on this page is there a link to mail. Is it hidden somewhere? Is it a secret? All I see are ads for using .Mac.
    This is what I see:
    • Tour .Mac
    • One-click web publishing
    • Photocast with iPhoto
    • Exchange files from anywhere
    • Communicate Apple style
    • Bring groups together
    • Stay in sync
    • Backup your life
    • How it works
    • .Mac in action
    • Membership options
Where the heck is Mail? And why did Apple decide to make it so difficult to find?

  • Where is the bookmarks.html file ?

My customers PC crashed. I try to copy the Bookmarks to a new PC. I can not find the right bookmarks.html file, only the default and th bookmarkbackups directory with those *.json files.
BTW: is there some intelligible reason, why the bookmark file of Firefox as well as the mail-directories in Thunderbird are in a directory structure hidden from the user ?!

Hiding the appdata or roaming path in Windows is Microsoft's doing, not Mozilla. Other than IE, every other browser I have ever used has stored bookmarks in their own set of folders in the appdata or roaming file path.
The bookmarks.html file hasn't been used for storing since the Firefox 2.0 versions, in later versions it is used to install the default bookmarks primarily when the user creates a new Profile and upon the initial installation of Firefox, and it also is part of the process of "importing" bookmarks from other browsers the user may have installed.
The '''places.sqlite''' file is where bookmarks and browsing history is stored in Firefox 3.0 and later versions.
    See this:<br />http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Recovering+important+data+from+an+old+profile
Your old Profile is located here in Vista & Win7: <br />

  • Where is the bookmarks file saved?

I sdearched for the bookmarks file on my computer, but couold not get an answer. Where is it saved?

Firefox stores the bookmarks and the history in a SQLite database file places.sqlite<br />
You can export the bookmarks to an HTML file if you want a backup.

  • What does the setting "auto increment column templates"

I have noticed that there is now a setting "auto increment column templates" but I cannot find out what this setting does.
There are no sequences generated nor triggers.
    Version 3.0.
    Thanks, Joep

There are no sequences generated nor triggersYou need to set column as "auto increment". Then sequence and trigger will be generated for Oracle.
You can set template for generated sequences and triggers and can override these settings at column level setting explicitly the name of sequence and trigger.
The sequence and related trigger are not created as objects in physical model, however if there are such objects defined then definition from physical model is used for generated DDL.
