Where is the bookmark dropdown button?

I had to download an older Firefox to get my bookmarks button back.
In two steps i have watched Firefox destroying one of the most important tools for MINE browsing habit.
First the bookmark button was combined with bookmark menu and bookmark side panel, so when i pressed the bookmark button sometimes is opened panel, sometimes the menu and sometimes the RIGHT drop down menu. In the latest iteration of nightly the button looks strange and only opens a library popup... I have tried disabling all plugins. I have tried installing classic toolbar. I have tried looking this up on google... but nothing has worked for me yet.
I just want my normal bookmarks drop down button back so i can surf my sites with one hand on my mouse... without having to tap on the keyboard.
I would have loved to post some images for everyone's convenience but don't know how.

Just make sure to use each Firefox version with its own profile.

Where has the Bookmark button gone, that shows ALL bookmarks as a dropdown?

I have had to reinstall my OS, and now with Firefox I don't see the big 'Bookmarks' button I had to the right of the Google search box.
This is with icons set to 'Icons'.
I use to be able to click 'Bookmarks' and they'd appear in a dropdown, like the "Latest News" feed operates.
I can click on Bookmarks button (with the star on it), but that just opens a side pane - not a dropdown that disappears when I've clicked it.

Also note that it only shows the bookmarks menu button if you are using the Firefox menu button and not the classic menu bar, as it would be quite redundant to have both a button and the bookmarks menu up top that did the exact same thing.
Look at what you have in the toolbar and what's in the customize window (you may need to scroll down). If you have one in the toolbar then the other is probably in the customize window somewhere. If you have a lot of addons installed there may be lots of buttons to look through.
If you have trouble you could just click the "Restore Default Set" button in the customize dialog to reset all your toolbars to the defaults which will also involve putting the bookmarks button you want there. If you had any other customizations to your toolbars you could then change them back again.

I cannot find out where to organize my bookmarks in any of the bookmark dropdowns. I can only do it one by one. Is there a way to do mass organization?

In previous versions you could select organize bookmarks. In this version it is gone. I would imagine that since FF now can sync across multiple devices, the ability to organize from any of those becomes more important. Selecting one bookmark at a time to delete or move is too tedious for people with hundreds or thousands of bookmarks.

The way bookmarks are managed has not changed. You now access to the Library window by selecting Bookmarks > Show all bookmarks from the Firefox menu.

How do I get bookmarks to be shown in the bookmarks dropdown?

On the Bookmarks dropdown from the top menu bar, I used to see the websites that I bookmarked. I was organizing bookmarks and something happened to the dropdown. When I click on the dropdown, now I don't see my bookmarks. So, I reinstalled Firefox and I have the same problem. I want to be able to click on the bookmarks dropdown and then click on any of the sites that I have bookmarked.

When you see them in Show All Bookmarks (usually in an Imported Bookmarks folder, but this will work from wherever your imported bookmarks ended up), select them in the main window, then drag-and-drop them onto the icon for "Bookmarks Menu" in the list on the left.

Using linux, the default icon for the bookmarks menu button is quite ugly. Is there a way to change the icon for the button with some code in userChrome.css ?

After several intents, I found a solution.
This is my userChrome.css file:

I'm working on an outline in Pages. I found the keyboard shortcuts i.e. Tab, and Command Tab, for promoting and demoting a line, after a lot of looking. But where is the promote/demote button, in the tool bar, that Help keeps mentioning. Where the heck is it?

You will need to customize your Pages v4.3 toolbar and add these Increase and Decrease buttons.
Pages > Menu > View > Customize Toolbar ...
Drag and Drop the following icons from the customization panel to your Pages toolbar and release.
Now you will have promote/demote control over indentation in your outline.

You can move file named places.sqlite from your old profile to the new one. It contains bookmarks and browsing history.

If you don't care about saving your current bookmarks, you can skip creating new profile (Firefox does it by itself at first run anyway).
I'd might suggest you to install addon https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2410/|Xmarks Bookmark and Password Sync]. It is a free web service which synchronizes bookmarks and (optionally) passwords with central server, and then to other computers, if you installed it on more. You may treat is as a backup too.

Lastly, note that there seems 2-B another issue.
The backup file format used in the older version isn't recognized by the new version !
So, unless I can find a work-around, I'll have to resort to some "manual transfers" of those resources.
