  • Where is the  configuration for revaluation of FX to GL

we have a number of transactions in which a supplier in Germany packs product for us and sends that product directly to our Atlanta plant for storage. They invoice us in Palm Beach,FL for the product and we charge it to Manufacturing. That is an intercompany transaction. The original invoice is denominated in Euros and we never settle the intercompany transactions with Chicago so they stay outstanding forever. SAP does a revaluation entry every month and the FX effect hits our GL account xx100.  That is a P&L account and affects our operating results. There should be no P&L effect to intercompany transactions. We have other intercompany documents with other of our entities, but SAP posts the FX effect on those to GL acct yy200, which is a balance sheet account and does not affect results.
We need these SAP monthly revaluations to post to yy200 and not xx100.  Is it possible to configure SAP so that currency transactions related to intercompany documents post to GL account yy200 instead of xx100?
    Gurus
Here is my question : How to proceed ?  where is the configuration for revaluation of FX to GL  Account?
    Thanks in adavance
    Satya

Well first of all to distinguish Intercompany FX transactions and other FX transactions, you should have a seperate document type for them and then based on the document type, you can actually write a validation/substitution rule to have those differences to the account you want.
Hope it helps - Let me know if you need more informarion.
    Thanks,

  • Where is the backup assistant

where is the backup assistant or how do I get my contacts?  just switched to the S5 from a blackberry curve...

Congrats on your new S 5! It's a great device. Did you previously use Backup Assistant on your Blackberry Curve? To retrieve your contacts through backup assistant on the S 5 the backup must have first been completed on the Blackberry Curve.

  • Where is the setup assistant on my new iphone5?

Where is te setup assistant on my iphone5?

Yes.  If you want to save anything, you'll have to do that first.  You can, for example, import your camera roll photos to your computer as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.  Your recent texts will can be archived by taking screenshots and importing the photos, but it isn't possible to save them and sync them back to your phone after restoring the backup.

  • WHERE is the migration assistant? I had assumed it would be under applications, but it isn't there. This is to be used to transfer files.

I have a MAC OS X 10.7.5 with 3.5 GHz Intel Core i7, 8GB 1333 MHz DDR3. I was trying to ask what seemed like a simple question about transferring files. When I got to the page, it says to use the MIGRATION ASSISTANT. However, this is NOT in the applications file, which is where I would assume I would find it. There is NOTHING in the instruction sheet that says where to go to get it. I see that others have asked the same question, however, I did not see it was answered (said file was "locked"). Have now spent over an hour trying to ask this (including time spent trying to login).

Choose it from the Finder's Go menu, or open the Applications folder and double-click it.

  • Where is the Backup Assistant online?

I am looking for where I can access the Backup Assistant online - not in the cloud, not using the cellphone.

        RJONEZ,
You've reached the right place for assistance with being able to view your contacts online. If you follow the link http://vz.to/1vOL3RM it will take you through the steps on how you can back up and save everything. Under step 5 there is a link that shows you how to view the contacts online. You would have to be signed into your My Verizon account before clicking on the link so that it directs you to the right place. I certainly hope this helps. Keep us posted.

  • HT4859 Where is the setup assistant found?

I have a new iPad and want to restore from my last iCloud backup. I cannot figure out where to start!  Help?

    It's here:
How to restore from a backup
You have to erase it first:
... Complete the setup assistant after erasing your device (by going to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings) or after starting your new device. When prompted to set up as new or to restore from previous backup, choose to restore from iCloud backup. Then enter your AppleID and password.

  • Where is the Server Assistant?

One thing that has really been rubbing me the wrong way about Lion Server is the lack of accuracy in the migration documentation. It refers to the "Server Assistant", but I don't encounter it running anywhere, and when I reinstall the server, it doesn't ask me if I want to migrate settings.
I have an old XSERVE G4 with 10.5.8 Leopard Server, and the documentation (http://images.apple.com/macosx/server/docs/Upgrading_and_Migrating_v10.7.pdf) states on page 26 that I need to utilize the Server Assistant (not the Migration Assistant) to migrate my data on my 10.5 server to 10.7.
I have reinstalled and played around with various scenarios over 10 times now, and have come up empty, unable to resolve this issue. Does anyone have any ideas, or accomplished this successfully yet?
    Thanks in advance!
    ~Mike

Okay, so the Migration document is incorrect about what triggers the Server Assistant (or at least the process doesn't work as documented-it looks like the Server.app install doesn't remove the correct file).
But the solution to get it to work is pretty simple:
    - Have the Server components installed.
    - boot into single-user mode.
at the command line run the following:
    mount -uw /
rm /var/db/AppleSetupDone.something (I don't recall the extension, but tab completion will fill it out)
Reboot and (I believe this requires having a valid 10.5.8-10.6.8 or greater server drive attached) the Assistant won't be the standard client Migration Assistant, but the Server Assistant and you will be asked if you want to migrate.
Transfer and go (haven't gotten that far yet, it's still in progress, but at least it's going). No idea if this will actually work, particularly given the other issues, but at least it's a start.

There is NO ONE messaging server configuration file.
The store configuration is read from the configuration ldap server on startup, and cached in temporary files, msg.cnf and local.cnf. Do not attempt to edit these files, as that won't work.
Use the configutil utility to see what the store configuratin is

  • The configuration assistants emca and netca exits (redhat8, pentium IV)

The assistants just exits when I try to configure listeners and a (new) repository. I'm using redhat 8, oracle8i and pentium IV. Any suggestions?

There is a known problem with certain versions of jdk and pentium IV. Try using an other.

  • Video Card??? And what does the Configuration assistant do besides nothing

I installed the Solaris 8 on my desktop (Asus P3V133). I followed the installation instructions and I can not use the video Card (S3540 Stealth). Thus, I keep going to command line instalation mode. After installation, i get to CDE fine, however, it is in monochrome mode. how can i configure the the video card from CDE (Is it possible). I need help with this. I know how to use UNIX commands, however, never configured a system before.....Thanks
    MJ

    Hi,
What is the exact make and manufacturer of your video card? I am not sure if you have checked the Hardware Compatibility List yet for the supported hardware? If not take a look at the following: http://soldc.sun.com/support/drivers/hcl/8/401/files/c0112.htm#VIDEO-1
To change the settings of your video card your best bet would be to open up a terminal and type "kdmconfig" this will let you change various system settings (video card settings, mouse, keyboard...etc).
    Hope This Helps

  • 10g installation stays at 45% during Database Configuration Assistant

    Hi,
I am trying to install Oracle 10g in my windows XP machine.Installation goes on smoothly and the configuration assistant window appears. The Database Configuration Assistant page showing the progess bar for database creation also appears. The progress shows Clone database creation in progress at 45%. It has been running for more than 6 hours.
What should i do? Can i stop and run Database Configuration Assistant independently? Is installation of all oracle database component complete?
    Please advice.
    Regards,
    Jay

    Hi,
I have checked and the Oracle listener is started. The problem is still there.
Where do i locate the files created during DBCA process? If there are any files left will they be replaced when i run DBCA independently?
    Please advice.
    Thanks.

  • Oracle Portal Configuration Assistant will not connect

I am attempting to install an Oracle Portal 9iAS with the software provided in the book "Application Server Portal Handbook" by Seve Vandivier and Kelly Cox.
Ok, all goes well until I get to the Portal Configuration Assistant. I want to connect to the database (on a different box over the network) and install the repository.
No go. I cannot login. I know the password for SYS. but the connect descriptor it is looking for should be noodle:1521:fastdb (noodle is the host, 1521 the port, fastdb the SID).
I cannot figure out why this does not connect. If I open a SQLplus window on this computer, I can connect successfully, although this would use a TNS connection, which is not the same.
So, where am I going wrong?????
One more clue, the book talks about connecting to an Oracle 8i database, and I am trying to connect to an Oracle 9i database. Does this matter???
    Any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Edward

Assuming you are installing 9ias Rel1 with portal 309.
Apply the RDBMS 8.1.7.4 patch to the 9ias Oracle Home and re-run the configuration assistant. It's been awhile since I've had to install Rel1, but that was the fix when we last asked oracle about it.

  • BISE Configuration Assistent failed

When installing BISE-one everything runs fine until the end of the installation: Running the COnfiguration Assistent.
    Invoking configuration assistant
    Execution successful
    Unlock Accounts
    Establish connection with the database
    Execution failed
The "E:\oracle\bise1b\cfgtoollogs\configToolFailedCommands" script contains all commands that failed, were skipped or were cancelled. This file may be used to run these configuration assistants outside of OUI.
When giving a retry a window pops up with the message:
The Oracle System Identified (SID) "bise1db" already exists. Specify another SID.
The file above (configToolFailedComands) is calling: "E:\oracle\bise1b\db\install\bise1config.bat"
    This file (bise1config.bat) contains:
    @echo off
    set PATH=E:\oracle\bise1b\db\jdk\bin;%PATH%;
    set CLASSPATH=E:\oracle\bise1b\db\install\config\BISE1Config.jar;E:\oracle\bise1b\db\oui\jlib\OraInstaller.jar;E:\oracle\bise1b\db\oui\jlib\classes12.jar;E:\oracle\bise1b\db\oui\jlib\ojmisc.jar;E:\oracle\bise1b\db\oui\jlib\ewt3.jar;E:\oracle\bise1b\db\oui\jlib\share.jar;%CLASSPATH%;
    javaw -client oracle.as.config.bise1.BISE1ConfigAssistant E:\oracle\bise1b\db\install\config\bise1ca.rsp
The command "javaw..." is generating a java-error and ends with the message:
The Oracle System Identified (SID) "bise1db" already exists. Specify another SID.
Question1: How should i be able to change the SID at this point?
    The java-error is:
    Command = E:\oracle\bise1b\db\install\bise1config.bat has failed

Remark: "tnsping bise1db" is working find.
Question2: How to check this jdbc-connection.
Question3: Where are jdbc-settings being configured?

    Hi there
Please provide administrative privileges to the file "E:\oracle\bise1b\db\install\bise1config.bat" (by right-clicking on the file, choosing properties and selecting "security" tab) and then retry. This should solve the problem.
    Thanks
