Where is the CS5 style posterizing

Hi there,
A feature i used often was the posterization feature in CS5 located under Filter > Artistic. Now in CS6 ths feature seems to have been removed but for the ever present posterize located in the adjustments panel but this does not work on anywhere near the same level of awesomeness that the old one did. Does anyone know if the old feature still exists?

To get the old menus, go to preferences>Plug-ins>Filters>Show all Filter Gallery groups and names.

  • Where is the mobile style sheet for media queries?

When I create a new document in Dreamweaver CC, I get the following @media queries:
    GLOBAL
    only screen and (min-width : 481px)
    only screen and (min-width : 769px)
Where is the mobile style sheet?
I thought the fluid grid layout option in DW would create 3 screen sizes.
Do I have to create another special style sheet to only apply to the mobile version?
When I click on the mobile icon at the bottom of Dreamweaver's CC screen, I see the mobile page with the 4 column grid.
But how do I make changes to just one screen size, say mobile?
When I have the mobile view on my screen, and have GLOBAL @Media selected, the changes I make go across all screen sizes. I want some styling to only be applied to mobile. I don't understand how to do this. Could somone please claify if I am missing a @Media sheet and how to create it if needed. Thanks.

FGLayouts are built on the mobile first scheme.  There's nothing you have to do.

  • Where are the paragraph style tools in Indesign CC2014?

Hi! I've just started using Id through Creative Cloud on a new computer (have been using CC CS6 for two years), and the installer gave me CC2014 rather than CS6. So this is a question only about CC2014.
Where has the paragraph styles window gone? Specifically, how can I edit, create and organise paragraph styles, and how can I get a window up on the main screen with all the styles laid out? All these things were easy to find in CS6, but I can't track them down in CC2014. The only thing I get (and that with a bit of customization). is a drop-down menu in the main toolbar, which allows me to choose from existing options on an existing document.
There is no Paragraph Styles option under Windows>Styles.
There is no Paragraph Styles option under Type.
The only Paragraph window which appears is designed for editing text as you go along, not for applying styles.
The Help options all point me back to the entry for CS6, and tell me to go to Type>Paragraph Styles (which doesn't exist).
I can't get a window up on the main screen to apply styles instantly from a list. I only get that dropdown menu, which has no further options.
Can anyone either point me to some up-to-date guidelines or explain where all the paragraph options have gone and how I can use them? Alternatively, can I revert to CS6? This was easy and intuitive before, and now it's neither...
    Thanks!

Yes, that did it. All the old menu options have reappeared. I don't know why they were hidden in the first place - these were things I never needed to set up on either of my previous computers.
    Thank you very much!

  • Where is the CS5.5 to CS6 Web Design Premium upgrade download link?!

I purchased the CS5.5 Web Design Premium equivalent to avail of the free upgrade to CS6 when it came out.
After too much fluffing around with Adobe's customer services (weeks upon weeks), I eventually received the upgrade disk through the post (I'm based in the UK).
The problem I now have is that this disk has become scratched and I can't wait to receive another disk.
After speaking with someone through the online chat, I was told that only those who purchased an online copy could download it. As I purchased directly through Adobe over the phone, I was not entitled to an auto-generated download link.
The upgrade also doesn't appear in my Product pages.
So, can someone please help to find out where I can download a copy of the upgrade, rather than wait for it to come through in the post?

As long as you have the serial numbers for the upgrade version and the base version(CS6 and CS5.5 respectively in your case) the programs will install fine. Download the trial version from www.adobe.com/downloads/ and install the software. During installation you may be asked for the CS5.5 serial number(after you enter your CS6 serial number). The installer file or setup.exe file is the same on the disks and on Adobe.com.
    Thanks

  • Where is the layer style folder located in windows 7 for elements 6?

I have been through the steps listed and searched the adobe folder and have not found the layer styles folder.  Does anyone know where it is located?

    Hello,
    Thanks for responding
The layer styles are in the right location.   When the Layer>Layer Style> is
open the only selection available is Hide All Effects.  There is a
    tutorial(coffee cup
    creation)<http://photoshoptutorials.ws/photoshop-tutorials/drawing/how-to-draw-a-photorealistic-coff ee-cup.html>where
I get stuck on the first few steps because of the missing layer

    Once again, thank you.

  • Where is the Spring Style Icon

I am relatively new to the Mac world, so forgive my ignorance. When I first booted my PB 15", there was a spring style icon in the dock that was a shortcut to the Apple website. After messing around for a while, I figured out how to create a shortcut, but the icon is not the same as the spring style icon.
Is it possible to create a shortcut to a website and have the spring style icon, or was that something that only comes preloaded for the Apple website?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi William,
An update. The file in question can be found at the following path..
    /System/Library/CoreServices/Dock.app/Contents/Resources/url.png
When you've navigated to Dock.app, ctrl+click and choose 'Show Package Contents' to access its innards. The file is a .png and as far as I know you'll need to manipulate it slightly before being able to apply the icon to other files. I've outlined one method below but you might have a better solution yourself.
    1. Copy url.png to your desktop
    2. Download Pic2Icon [download.com]
    3. Drag url.png onto the application to have the image applied as the file's icon.
    4. Highlight the file in Finder and hit Cmd+I (Get Info)
    5. In the informaiton panel, highlight the file's icon at the top and hit Cmd+C
    6. Perform a 'Get Info' on your file/folder of interest, highlight its icon and hit Cmd+V

  • Where does the CS5 Automatic Update put temporary files?

I am getting the same error that I see other people have had.  When I try to download and install CS5 updates using the automatic updater, I am told that the download failed and that I should try again later.  My guess is that one of the files was damaged in the download, and that it chokes each time it tries to open it.  I suspect that the "fix" is to delete all of the downloaded and temporary files and to start over, but I don't know where they are.  Anybody know?  Thanks.

The file I downloaded was downloaded with the following filename cf10_mdt_updt.zip.  I then ran an extract all and saved the extracted files to a folder called cf10_mdt_updt.  I then copied the folder with the extracted files to the following folder c:\ColdFusion10\jre\bin.  I then ran Command Prompt as Administrator and got the error message shown below.

  • [JS/CS4] What's up with the Stroke Styles?

Pondering the possibilities of Marc Autret's fantastic ScriptUI Image Injection trick (
get swatches in dropdown list with color preview... ) I wondered if it was possible to do something a bit more complicated -- a Stroke Style dropdown, with a custom image per stroke style (dashed, dotted, striped), just like the Real Thing. But ... I'm stopped dead in my tracks by one simple nagging problem. Where did the stroke styles go?
According to my documentation, both Application and Document should have a strokeStyles property, listing all of the available stroke types, and separated dashedStrokeStyles, dottedStrokeStyles, and stripedStrokeStyles properties, to gain access to each of the separate types. However, *all* styles report their length  as "18" and can give me their names but nothing else (dashArray, for example, fails on non-dashed strokes and returns nothing at all for the dashed ones). And the separate lists all seem to have a length of 0. And all of the strokes' "strokeStyleType" ought to return a useful descriptor name but return "" (empty string) instead.
    alert (app.strokeStyles.length); // 18
    alert (app.stripedStrokeStyles.length); // 0!
    alert (app.dashedStrokeStyles.length); // 0!
    alert (app.dottedStrokeStyles.length); // 0!
Is this my InDesign Gone Bad?

    function(){return A.apply(null,[this].concat($A(arguments)))}
As far as I know, those 18 styles are built-in styles. You can't delete them, edit or whatever...
Sure -- but I was hoping to at least see them in a script! It seems I cannot read *any* property out of them ??

  • Where does Bridge CS5 store the metadata files?

Where does Bridge CS5 store the metadata files that are created under the Tools menu?  I moved CS5 from one drive to another on my Mac Pro and lost all of them.  I'd like to recover them is possible.

    Yikes!

…I moved CS5 from one drive to another on my Mac Pro…
First of all, all Adobe applications really need to be installed and reside permanently on your boot volume, i.e. the same volume where your OS resides.  There will be endless grief if you install the applications elsewhere.
Secondly, I hope by "moved" you mean that you deactivated CS5 and then used the Adobe Uninstaller to uninstall CS5, then re-installed CS5 from the original media, from scratch, and not just drag-copied the Application folder.  And hopefully there's an OS installation on that other drive that will allow you to boot off that drive.
Third, you need to refer to your preferences in Bridge as you set them to find out whether you were keeping the cache in distributed folders or were using the central database, whether you were using separate xmp sidecar files, whether you had Export Cache to Distributed Folders set in Bridge preferences, etc..

  • I am trying to download CS5.5, which I purchased. But I can only find the upgrade software to download. Where is the non-upgrade version of CS5.5???

I am trying to download CS5.5, which I purchased. But I can only find the upgrade software to download. Where is the non-upgrade version of CS5.5???

There is no upgrade version.  The serial number that you use dictates whether or not the software is treated as an upgrade.  If you purchased it as an upgrade then the serial number you have is an upgrade serial number and that will require you to provide proof that you qualify ro install/use the upgrade.

  • Where is the extract filter in photoshop cs5?

Where is the extract filter in photoshop cs5?  Thanks

    from an Adobe Tech Sheet:
Photoshop CS5 can be run as a 64-bit application on Mac OS, 10.5.7 and higher. Because of the changes that were made to the application, some plug-ins are not available when you run Photoshop CS5 either as a 32-bit or a 64-bit application. To work with these plug-ins, run Photoshop CS5 as a 32-bit application, then when you are done using these plug-ins, return to working in Photoshop CS5 as a 64-bit application.
If you copy old plug-ins from previous versions of Photoshop, or third-party plug-ins that are not compatible with Photoshop CS5, into Photoshop CS5's Plug-in folder, you may see different problems, such as errors or crashes.
If you have set the Additional Plug-Ins Folder in the Plug-Ins preferences to a folder, deselect this option, or make sure all the plug-ins in this folder are compatible with Photoshop CS5.
The easiest way to determine if third-party, old plug-ins, or plug-ins from previous versions of Photoshop are causing problems is to move them all into a new folder called "3rd Party plug-ins."
If this folder is outside the Photoshop/Plug-Ins folder, you can use the Additional Plug-Ins Folder Plug-In preference to allow Photoshop to access or not access the plug-ins in this folder.
If this folder is inside the Photoshop/Plug-Ins folder, disable the plug-ins by renaming the folder by putting a tilde (~) as the first character in the folder name.
Plug-ins not supported by Photoshop CS5 on Mac OS, running in 64-bit mode:
    Lighting Effects
Extract (Use Refine Mask under the Selection menu)
    Variations
Web Contact Sheet II (Web Photo Gallery)
TWAIN support will work on some scanners
    Video Preview
    Send Video Preview to Device
    Embed / Read Watermark
    Firewire
    Firewire DLL
To run Photoshop CS5 on Mac OS as a 32-bit application, select the Adobe Photoshop CS5 application file, installed by default in the Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS5 folder. Choose File > Get Info, and select Open in 32 Bit Mode. Deselect this option to run Photoshop CS5 in 64-bit mode.
To determine if a plug-in causes an error or crash, remove all old or third-party plug-ins from the Adobe Photoshop CS5 > Plug-Ins folder, and deselect Additional Plug-ins Folder in the Photoshop > Preferences > Plug-Ins preference.
