Where is the Doc about JSP dev's guide & reference

Hi, I just read the FAQs about the JSP technology and found this link:
"Oracle JavaServer Pages Developer's Guide and Reference", but when I hit the link, the OTN site tells me that the link doesn't exit eventhough the reference is all over the FAQs.
Where can I find this document?
Thanks.....

Hi, would you mind providing a link to the FAQ where you found this reference. It is possible this document exists, but so far
I have only found this document from the Oracle 9iAS suite:
http://otn.oracle.com/docs/products/ias/doc_library/90200doc_otn/web.902/a95882/preface.htm#430516

  • Where are the instructions about how to upgrade to Firefox 5?

Where are the instructions about how to upgrade to Firefox 5?
I have FF v4 and want to upgrade to v5. But despite my searching, I cannot find any instructions on how to upgrade. Why do S/W developers for the most part fail to provide this essential information?
Specifically, does one do an in-place upgrade (install to existing v4 directory)? If so, are all the user's settings/ preferences/ configurations/ bookmarks/etc. preserved? Or does one install to a new directory? If that is the case, how does one then incorporate their former customizations into the new install? Also, what happens to add-ons, plug-ins, etc.
Install instructions, including upgrade instructions, should be readily available on the same page where the download link is!
Please advise. I'm anxious to upgrade, but without this basic information, I will not feel comfortable in doing so.

In Firefox 4 and later you can go to Help > About Firefox to check for updates and update.<br />
You can update Firefox in the same installation folder.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

  • Where is the doc for e-Business Suite Adaptor?

Where is the doc for e-Business Suite Adaptor? When I search for it, all I find is a POD-cast.
    Thanks in advance,
    - Mike

I'm unsure what kind of documentation you are after. It really comes down to the Oracle eBusiness documentation on how to implement it, e.g. field A should be populated with the following information.
As far as the adapter documentation all you do is find the service using the adapter. This is broken into the different modules so it should be easy to find. When you select it the adapter will create the interface so you can start implementing your processes.
Exactly what issues are you facing.
    cheers

  • Where's the doc for MSI mode?

Edit: I don't need an answer to this, I found the problem.
Where can I find the doc to enable/disable it? it says it is "enabled by default", but my managed servers fail to start if the Admin Server is not running (the problem is in the ODSI AppListener, I'm trying to investigate that).

“Disable Managed Server independence” in Administration Console Online Help
Edited by: mikereiche on Feb 3, 2010 12:08 PM

    Disable Managed Server independence
    Before you begin
The server instance for which you want to disable MSI does not need to be running.
When a Managed Server starts, it tries to contact the Administration Server to retrieve its configuration information. If a Managed Server cannot connect to the Administration Server during startup, it can retrieve its configuration by reading configuration and security files directly. A Managed Server that starts in this way is running in Managed Server Independence (MSI) mode.
By default, MSI mode is enabled.
    To disable MSI:
    1. If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).
    2. Select Environment > Servers and click the name of the Managed Server instance.
    3. Select Configuration > Tuning and click Advanced at the bottom of the page.
    4. Clear the Managed Server Independence Enabled check box.
    5. Click Save.
    6. To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate Changes.
Not all changes take effect immediately—some require a restart (see Use the Change Center).
    After you finish
If the Managed Server is running, restart it.

  • Where is the doc for xml task options for deploy and ojdeploy-build ?

    I am a new user.
I tried using jdev help to find my answer, but got lost quickly in the zillions of manuals.
    1) Where is the manual/doc for the xml task attributes/options for the Ant tags <deploy> and <ojdeploy-build>?
I am modifying an xml script that ojdeploy will call, but do not know what attributes/options are supported for these tags. I need to know whether an option such as failonerror exists, so that I can report a bug that <deploy> does not default to fail on error (or that <ojdeploy-build> ignores the error and continues with the script.
    Followup questions:
    2) How do I find the java code that implements the tags <deploy> and <ojdeploy-build>?
    3) How do I report a bug on the implementation for these tags and propose a fix (assuming I can see the java source code)?

I guess I wasn't clear enough. What I tried to say was:
    1) Where is the manual/doc for the xml task attributes/options [I meant to say attributes/elements] for the Ant tags [I meant to say tasks] <deploy> and <ojdeploy-build>?
I did not mean the ojdeploy command, but the Ant tasks <ojdeploy-build> and <deploy>.
The jdev help does not seem to provide the complete list of elements or attributes for these critical Ant tasks, though it has a few examples.
So far, it appears that <deploy> has been misdesigned and I cannot do what I want, which is to "failonerror" (failonerror="true" should be the default but the opposite is true and there is no attribute to change the setting).
You could consider this to be a bad flaw in Ant itself, that you cannot get the exit code from every Ant task (since they are java programs they do have an exit code), so when new tasks are implemented by folks who lack experience they may leave out access to this programming feature that is however implemented for a bunch of important core Ant tasks such as "java" or "exec". It would have been far more useful to make this a generic feature of all Ant tasks. Of course then folks would be asking for stuff like "fail if" or "fail unless" and where would it end? Maybe with a real programming language like TCL but in XML form.

  • Where is the discussion about removal of iTunes DJ ?

When i want to see the discussion about "Where is iTunes DJ in iTunes 11", i find a page saying i'm not authorized ...
is it normal ?  don't tell me somebody has removed this page ?

    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4553398
It seems to be there, but yes Apple will remove posts and even whole topics if they get out of hand.  Topics and posts are supposed to deal with technical issues.  A post asking where iTunesDJ is located in the new iTunes is technical.  One just complaining about how terrible Apple is might be removed.

  • VideoRecord Component - where are the docs?

Can anyone tell me where the docs are for the VideoRecord
Component for FMS2 are? I can't understand why Adobe would put such
a component in, but then not make it quick and simple to setup and
use. How do you tell this component what to name the file? Where to
store the file? Or do I have to spend days writing their ridiculous
action script that they end up changing with every version of their
    products?

You can download fms2_components.zip file from
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashmediaserver/articles/components.html
This zip file along with the components also contains the
documentation for installation and usage of the components.

  • Where is the documentation about PostgreSQL?

Could not get the docs as mentioned on the LION Server Manual: "PostgreSQL, view its documentation at http://www.example.com/postgresql/ (replace www.example.com with your server’s URL)." It shows an error message saying the page could not be found.

I found the solution. Thanks baltwo.
Actually the documentation Apple manual mentioned is located on LION Server at: "/Library/WebServer/Documents/postgresql/html/". Under html you can find the file index.html.
I would like to add that LION Server already has two system accounts with the same short name for them "_postgres" (person and group). What you have to do is to add your account to postgresql group using Server app.
Under View select Show system accounts.
Also the postgresql sample config files can be found at: "/usr/share/postgresql/".
I also recomend downloading phppgadmin, expand it and copy to your LION Server WEB document folder. After that you can use Safari to call it  "yourServerURL/phppgadminFolderName/". The user name is "_postgres" and the password is your account password.
I forgot. You have to start WIKI service to start postgresql. Otherwise you must start using the Terminal before using phppgadmin.

I am after the Combined Upgrade and Unicode Conversion Guide for 4.7 to ERP 6.0, but can only find the Combined Upgrade and Unicode Conversion Guide for 46C to ERP 6.0.
Can anyone advise where the 4.7 guide is.

Thank God SAP don't include it in the Install guide. The Install Guides are complex already. BTW if you need more info on unicode and its conversion go here

  • Where's the location of JSP's java files in weblogic

When I put *.jsp in my Web application,
I can find the complied class in
              C:\bea\user_projects\mydomain\myserver\.wlnotdelete\extract\myserver_BOFT_BO
              FT\jsp_servlet\****.class
But anyone can tell me where the ***.java?
What's the location of these java files ?
              Samuel

In WL8.1, it appears that the .java files are placed in the same directory,
but are removed after the class is compiled successfully. (Is there a
setting to prevent the .java files from being deleted?)
Try placing an intentional syntax error in your JSP file so that the
compilation fails, and you should see the .java file where the .class file
              would have been.

  • Where is the information about each CD I've imported stored?

I made a mistake ripping a CD audiobook and need to start over. I forgot to join the tracks when I imported the 1st CD. I did it after I the import finished.
Then I decided to start over so I could rip the audiobook the way it's worked before. I deleted the CD from my library and tried again. itunes still thinks the CD is on my system somewhere.
I've even uninstalled itunes and reinstalled it. iTunes still thinks the CD is still in my library and this causes the Advanced -> Join Tracks option to be greyed out.
Where does iTunes store persistent info like whether tracks are joined or not for CDs I've ripped? I'd like to delete this information so I can reload iTunes and start over.
    Thanks,
    Coleman Blake

When you deleted the album the first time, did you select the option to "move the deleted files to the recycle bin" or to "keep the deleted files"?  If you chose "keep the deleted files", then they are still on your computer so when you try importing again, iTunes still sees something in the location it wants to put the new import.
So you need to delete the original files from your computer before importing the album again, which means you need to find it. See my examples of the filepath below, for both a single artist album and a compilation allbum. Note the difference in the filepath.
    E.G.
    C:\Music\iTunes\iTunes Music\<artist name>\<album title>\"songs"
    C:\Music\iTunes\iTunes Music\Compilations\<Album title>\"songs"
In both cases, delete the <album title> folder so that the folder and songs in it go to your recycle bin. Do not delete the <Artist name> folder or the Compilations folder.
Now import the album again, but before clicking on import, you need to join the tracks, by selecting them in the CD drive window. Note that you can only join adjacent tracks. If you skip track 2, you cannot join tracks 1 and 3 and you must join the tracks before importing. They cannot be joined afterwards.

  • Where is the information about "Patch Level" of a particular version

    Hi all,
Where I can see what is the latest "Patch level" of a particular version of tuxedo. For example, what is the latest patch level of tuxedo 9.1, where I can find it out?. This information is public ? We need a oracle contacts?
    thanks in advanced

    MBriz,
The number at the start of last line in $TUXDIR/udataobj/patchlev is the Tuxedo patch level. (If there is no $TUXDIR/udataobj/patchlev file, then you are running the General Availability version of Tuxedo.)
This information is also available by executing "tmadmin -v".
A third way to get the information is to look at the first line printed by the BBL in the userlog on a particular day, which will be something like "09-30-2010: Tuxedo Version 10.3.0.0, 32-bit, Patch Level 041". (Other processes' first ULOG message of the day will indicate the Tuxedo Version, but will not include the patch level.)
    Regards,
    Ed
