Where is the email delete sound?

How do you turn on the swish sound when you put an email in the trash can?

There is no email delete sound on iPhones or any iOS device. The "swish sound" is the send email sound.

  • Where Did The Emails Go?

    Hi,
I created and downloaded some email to my iMac(running OS X 10.5.8) using Mail. And for some reason I then deleted ALL my email accounts.
Later on, I created all my email account once again at Mail. And I start to wonder, "I have deleted the accounts once, where are the EMAIL go? Are they also been deleted?
And I Resetup all the email, will those EMAILS come back to the NEW accounts in Mail?
    Thanks.
    El

    Hi.
When you delete an email account, the downloaded email messages for that account go the way of the dodo, they "poof" into thin air, in other words, they are deleted along with the account.
If you need to recover those emails, you can find them into your Time Machine backup (as long as it was enabled). You need to launch Time Machine, and then go to your home folder/Library/Mail, and the existing email accounts at the date of the backup are there, containing their inboxes, sent mails, etc.
    Good Luck.

  • Where are the email options like SendNow had?

My inbox is getting pick up notices from recipients who've accessed the links that I've sent them. I don't want or need these pick up notices filling by inbox. Where are the email options like SendNow had?
More importantly, why did Adobe get rid of a wonderful product... I'd pay more to get the old service back!!
    Thx, JG

    Hi jgriffenJTC,
You can disable notifications on a per-file basis. Please see View a file's tracking information in the Adobe Send Getting Started document.

  • Can I change the email notification sound?

I can't hear the email notification sound on my iPhone. Is there a way to customize it? I have it turned up as loud as it will go, but, if I'm out somewhere, and my phone is in the holster, I can't hear it!
    Any help would be appreciated!!
    Stephanie

    Hi Stephanie,
The email sound options are in Settings> Sounds. There is no option to change the tone.
You can leave iPhone feedback requesting a feature be modified here: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

  • If I'm typing an email on an iphone 5 and get a call, where is the email stored... or have I lost it?

If I'm typing an email on an iphone 5 and get a call (and answer the call), where is the email stored... or have I lost it? Thanks!

Arrgggh! I figured it was gone, but I hoped there might be some gizmo magic. That really is a flaw you'd think the phone would be better at "multi-tasking" since I'm suing it for both calls and email. Thanks again!

  • TS1292 Where is the 'Email Us' or 'Chat Now' button?

Where is the 'Email Us' or 'Chat Now' button?

    Welcome to the Apple community.
If you are referring to iWeb, then these features do not work outside publishing to MobileMe, which is of course going away. You will need to find an alternative to these features.

  • Where are the email digests?

    Where are the email digests?
Or aren't there any any more?
Or am I just not understanding how to get a digest from a particular forum?

    Hey Dave,
Thanks for getting back to me. I follow where you are coming from now.
First, I don't think I am contradicting myself in my liking of the forum layout yet being upset about the ommission of what I consider an absolutely crucial feature - the daily digest of a group -  IMO.
As such while the forum is still "useable" (and I am glad to see the final integration of the Macromedia and Adobe forums). Previousely I was never able to get a Dreamweaver or Flash digest sent to me daily due to the incompatabilities between the forum software. They may have been on the same page, but they were two different systems! So when I saw that the new forum was up I went in and happily subscribed to forums such as the Dreamweaver and Flash groups expecting a daily digest.
Because I did not read and because I assumed Adobe would not be arrogant enought to drop the digest feature (without consulting users), within an hour or two my mailbox was flooded with e-mails! That may be the way some people like to receive their information, but it is not for me! BTW, the only thread I am subscribed to is this one!
So now not only am I unable to get a new Daily Digest of Dreamweaver, Flash etc, but my old Digests of Premiere, After Effects, Encore etc are history! And even though I think the forums are relatively well designed and laid out compared to the many other forums out there. I do not have the time or inclination to go trolling through group after group and topic after topic!
So like you, I am not happy with Adobe and say to them  - your forums are too extensive for users to have to endlessly search through group after group and topic after topic to keep up-to-date with the information they need. You have made it harder to use than ever. And like Dave says, you are alientating not just expert users, but all users - who are the lifeblood of these forums and many have spent countless hours providing a valuable contribution and support to others (like myself)!! These forums have been invaluable especially when you have released buggy products with issues as users can provide feedback, solutions and workarounds much quicker than your Adobe Updater.
Oh, BTW Dave, I am curious, what are your other showstopper issues with the forum besides the lack of a digest? I have just plain not used the forums whatsoever (besides this topic) since the changeover and I am wondering what an expert user like you has found out.
    Cheers,
    Martin

  • How do I delete an email from my iPhone 4S, but not have the email deleted from the actual email account?

I just got my iPhone 4S and when I delete my email from the phone, they are also deleted from my email account on the computer.  When I had a Blackberry, there was an option to delete from the phone only or delete from both.  Does anyone know if this is possible with the iPhone and if so,m how I do it?  Thanks.

Not sure what email you are dealing with but when I go into the setting for mail and choose one of my accounts I can go to the Advanced settings for that account and click on "deleted mailbox". Leave the setting for "On My iPhone" to Trash. Under "On the Server" you can change where the messages go. Default is probably set to "Trash". Change it to "Saved" (if that folder is there) or create a new folder in your email client (access it from a computer and see if you can add a folder. Then check setting on your phone to see if the new folder shows. If so, then have the emails go to that folder. I would think this should work the way that you want. Just test it out and see if that works.

  • Email Delete sound gone?

I recently picked up an IPhone3G. The mail made various sounds- the beep for new mail, the whoosh for sending, and the "crumpling" sound for deleting.
The delete sound has gone away. I just checked my Touch (1st gen with 2.2 software), and the sound is gone there, as well. I tried doing the Settings-> General-> Reset-> Reset all Settings, and that didn't help.
Any ideas? I haven't noted any updates in the last couple of Syncs. Am I imagining things, and it was never there? Yes, I know there are much bigger things to worry about, but now I'm getting really curious...

    Hello T Ho,
Allan is correct. Page 102 of the iPhone User's Guide confirms that the sounds he listed are the only ones available:
    http://manuals.info.apple.com/enUS/iPhone_UserGuide.pdf
I checked several iPhones here running software versions from 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2.1 and none of them make any noise when deleting emails. I no longer have access to one running 1.1.x, but I doubt that such a sound was present then either or other posters on the Discussions Boards would have complained about it being removed.
I also checked the previous version of the User Guide, and it does not make any mention of a delete mail sound setting either.

  • Where is the email address stored in the com.microsoft.outlook.plist file ?

I had a customer with approximately 600 Mac users who changed their email domain. The email address field in Preferences>Accounts shows the old email address. We need to change that to reflect the new email address. I'd like to know where in the plist
the email address is so that we can try to automate the change.
The mail system is exch 2010 SP3.

  • Where is the email message?

The Sun is in my heart.
My heart is in the light.
    The light envelops my soul.
    My soul informs my life.
    My life is blindly go.
    No compass in the night.
Till the Sun shines forth again
    My soul to reawake.
errm... that was not what I was meaning to post, but I'll leave it since it threw itself upon the page.  I was reading a review of a film and at the bottom of the review was a link to email the reviewer.  Since the reviewer had done such an awful job of reviewing the film (he wasn't able to understand a children's film) I had a strong compulsion to reply to the half-wit.  I clicked on the email link to email the critic and a new compose message popped up.  I started writing my email.  I was in the airport waiting to be picked up and got picked up earlier than I was expecting and so wasn't able to finish writing the email.  I was having trouble finding it again but then did by "clicking" (err, pressing with my finger) the Safari icon.  When I would click there it would bring up the email message I was writing, not my 8 various browser windows.  I cannot find the message anywhere else in my email accounts.  I can only find it by loading Safari.  Well, sometime between when I was writing this email and today, I am no longer able to find my email message anywhere.  I can't find it in Safari anymore (my 8 browswer pages are there now) and I can't find it in my email accounts (icloud or my other email account).  Any ideas where exactly this email message is?  I find it hard to believe it has just up and vanished.  But I can't find it anywhere! (yes, I checked my draft folders).  Any help is greatly appreciated.

PS Is it possible to tether my iPhone to my laptop so I can use my cell phone's signal to give my laptop internet when it has no WiFi available?

Thanks Dave Sawyer, here's the link to the webpage where I clicked on the critic's email address:
    http://www.nypost.com/p/entertainment/movies/toys_with_your_em_oceans_ET3cvAh0ZO YPipRjCWKNdO
KiltedTim: go to the above website and click on the email link at the bottom of the review.  When I did, it opened a new compose email message and I wrote an email, but didn't send it.  I then went back to work on it and was unable to find it in any of my email accounts or email folders, but I *was* able to find it by loading Safari (it would pop up when I would load Safari instead of the browser pages).  But then at some point I was not able to find it anymore when I opened Safari.  So now I cannot find it anywhere.  But I never canceled the email.  I just never finished writing it so I never sent it. My question is: Where is my email that i was in the middle of composing? Sorry for being wordy in the original post.

  • TS3276 Where is the email message ?

I'm waiting for an email, the icon shows I have one message; but where has it gone ? not in inbox, sent, trash, junk, archive - seemingly nowhere....new iMac running 10.8.2

  • TS3899 Where is the email I sent? It was a very long and informative email that the recipient didn't receive.

I wrote an email from my iPad. The recepient didnt get it.
I have researched the information thoroughly so there's no way I can do it again.

Two words of advice. For complicated / extended emails I prepare the body of the email in the Pages app first where it is saved automatically and then I copy & paste it to the Mail app. Also, I blind CC all my sent emails so that I have a copy on all devices, including my iPad. (my main account is not IMAP). Either of these two practices would have avoided your dilemma.

  • Where is the email address from Adobe Systems Inc changed?

How can the email address to which Adobe emails are being sent be changed.  The most recent was sent on August 1 titled: "August 2013: Digital imaging news and events" from "Adobe Systems Incorporated".  There is an unsubscribe link but no "change address" link.  The number to call for help was called but they were unable to help.
I have two accounts.  The gmail is old and is receiving emails; it has one license associated with it.  The yahoo has all the other licenses but receivs no emails.  Before having the license transferred the email issue needs to be straightened out.
Both accounts have preferences as follows.
    preferred contact: Email
    receive communications: No
Subscribe to adobe inspire:  gmail no: yahoo: yes
    Any suggestions?
PS.  I did not find a better forum for this issue as it is not product related.

You are much more likely to get quicker help, out in the Forum Comments Forum, rather than in the Lounge, that sees very little traffic nowadays.
I will Move your post to that forum, and your e-mail subscriptions (ah, the irony of that), and your links will follow.
