My sons iPhone 5 was stolen out of his blazer pocket while in a games lesson, this was last period and on return to get changed find that someone from his class had stolen his phone from his zipped pocket. Straight away I went onto the find my iPhone on my phone and it has been showing offline since the phone was stolen. The phone had a password set on it and I have notified the police, school and also our carrier. The phone has been offline now for 32 hours, would this mean they have been unable to access the phone and switched it off? All you may infer is the device hasn't been turned on where it can connect to Wi-Fi.
The phone may be jailbroken if there is no lock passcode to prevent access. However, the phone can be completely erased and restored as new. In this case you will have no ability to locate it or prevent it from being jailbroken.

Hi. I have recently finished with an emplyer and have backed up my phone and when i go to restore the back up to another phone it is asking me to turn off the "find my iphone" before the restore can start. Pronlem is im no longer in possesion of this phone and can not turn it off.

the InitCVIRTE function is not listed in the NIDAQ function reference online help? Why? and what does she do?and where can I find a description of this function? Can i use this function with visualc++ 6.0?
The InitCVIRTE function is in the CVI run time engine (cvirte.dll)..not part of NI-DAQ.
Applications written or using CVI may call this function..

Thanks for the reply however this does not help. When I check the cloud it shows that I have only 20 photos. In reality I had a lot more than that. All the photos on the cloud are those that I have taken since I was at the Apple store. When I check cloud storage usage on my phone it says that I have 5.1 GB of photos. This is a lot more than the 20 that I can see. I am not sure what the Apple employee did to my phone.
Still looking for answers. It is really too bad that I can not talk to an Apple person to get help since they messed up my phone. -

You need to use the Find My iPhone app (in the itunes store - free). When invoking it on a device, you enter the ID password of the account the lost device is connected to. You can also use a computer's browser and log into icloud.com.

Unfortunately if you did not set up 'Find My iPhone', there is no way to remotely track or wipe the device.

I've been locked out my MacBook Pro, I was able to lock the MacBook with the find my iPhone app but I'm unable to unlock it with the app or by punching in the code directly to the MacBook, so far the apple store or reps over the phone can not help. I've called a third party retail store for assistance and the tell me I have to pay, even if I get it to work or not... So far nothing these apple "genius" will do to help with this product solution.

Is it possible to have the Find My iPhone function on a PC. I have this app running well on all my OS devices. Just wondering if I can locate my OS devices from an "app" on my PC.
I do not believe there's an app for that on PC. I do recommend getting the iCloud dashboard for PC and to try it there. I would myself if my PC was working.

I have a question regarding Icloud and unlinking an Icloud account from a device such as an iphone. If the iphone device is removed from the Find my Iphone app in Icloud, does this mean that it is unlinked/removed from the account after the account is removed manually in the icloud settings of the phone? Or in the case of resetting the phone will it become icloud locked still?
