Where is the forward button please, lost it somewhere during the last upgrade
I wanted to forward on a short pps show I received to some friends, can't find it. I've looked several times for it, but to no avail, I guess it must be somewhere, but......
There is a Forward button on the header bar of the Message Pane. To turn that on press F8.

Hello I shut my iMac down to move it to the next room when I plug it back into the wall, hit the power button nothing happens. I tried holding the power button nothing when't back to the first room plug it in where it was 2 mins ago nothing?
Do you know which iMac model family you have? There are four families dating back to 1998. Troubleshooting depends on that. This forum covers the first three families made from 1998 to 2005. iMacs newer than that get a separate forum.
Do you have the system disks that came with the computer? If so, and depending on model, you may be able to start from the CD/DVD and then make the jump to booting normally.
All computers has a little battery on the logic board that holds date, time, and some important startup parameters when the compuer is taken off wall power for a short time. If your battery was very old and died, then the settings the computer needs to start may have been lost when you unplugged it. For some Mac modles, booting from a CD or DVD gets around this temporarily, but ultimately the battery needs to be replaced. The internal batteries are cheap but can be hard to access on some iMacs like the G4 "desklamp" model -
Pressing play on purchased downloads and it starts to download but then returns to the play button. This is for all the purchased items I have. However pressing play on previews works. Please advise.

A number of people have reported similar issues recently, many appear to have found a discrepancy of some kind in their account settings and making changes to these settings or simply resetting them has resolved the matter.
Check your account details are correct, check that you are using the correct details for Location, Region and Time Zone. You may want to change these settings and then change them back to see if that helps.
Also check your payment details, make sure your details are exactly how they appear on your credit card statement, you might also try changing some of those details, saving them and changing them back again.
You might also try logging out of and then back into your iTunes account (Settings > iTunes Store > Apple ID’s > Sign Out) and restarting your router. (Some have reported that after doing this, they need to check for rentals even though it may report that there aren’t any, after which rentals once again appear in the ‘movies’ feature)
Rentals should appear under their own heading in the ‘Movies’ feature, you might also check at Settings > iTunes Store > Check For Rentals.
At this point in time, I’m wondering if this could be related to (but not restricted to) the new feature that allows others to come into your home and use your Apple TV to download and play their content on your Apple TV without logging into their account on your Apple TV. The Terms of Use for iTunes Store content have always been to require you to only purchase and play the content from the store in the location where you live and to use a credit card registered in that location. Previously Apple seem to have been somewhat lenient on enforcing such restrictions, perhaps now they are not. However I don’t really have any evidence to support this suggestion, except that changes made to accounts in these areas do appear to be helping many.

since i have upgradet my ipod touch 3g with the new 5.0.1 version, i can`t upload music or pictures or apps or anything else. the synchronize button is gray and allows nothing. the i tunes version is 10.5.3 ... please help me!
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely. Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again. -
When the forward button animates in it looks glitchy. It is sort of greyed out. What can I do?
The forward button appears the wrong color when using gestures to go back. It appears correctly when I actually point and click the back button to make it appear.
I've added a picture of it showing up correctly vs incorrectly.

After update to IOS 6.0, on the iPhone 4 and 4s, emails can not be forwarded. I tried to resync, but the update does not show the forwarding buttons anymore.

See if any of the following help.
Try turning the account off and on : Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars , then tap the account on the right, slide Mail to 'off', exit settings and go back into the Mail app, and then go back to Settings and slide Mail back to 'on'
If that doesn't work then try closing the Mail app completely : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
Also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -

The option you are referring to is used for the Deep Linking
functionality. It is NOT a switch to disable forward/backward
buttons on the browser. See the help docs for details about Deep

What you can do is disable History Management for the
application. History Management is enabled by default for a Flex
application. Then the forward/back buttons will not be affect
navigation within a Flex application. But again, this has nothing
to do with navigating from a web page to a Flex application. In
this case, the back button, at the very least, will always be
available so the user can go back to her original page.
Instead of approaching browser control from within Flex, I
think you should look to javascript code within the html wrapper to
accomplish what you want. Flex is the wrong place to look. -
Transition on the forward button???
I just got my iMac with iDVD 6 and so far I have been unable to get the forward button in a (more than one scene) chapter movie to have a transition.
The scene buttons have it but not the forward button.
Am I doing something wrong?If you mean when you skip from chapter to chapter from within a movie, then no, you definitely can not do that. See when you add a transition it gets built into the project at that spot. So transitioning from the menu to the scene is at one spot and gets built into the project. But if you hit the forward button, you can hit that button at anytime, anywhere in the movie. In that case you would have to have some sort of smart DVD player do the transition rather than having it built into the DVD. DVD players are not smart and can only play what they see. They can not make up a transition on the fly for you. Sorry.

I updated to iOS 8 on my iPhone 5 yesterday and now when I press the home button even once, it opens the app switcher (which is supposed to only open after pressing the home button twice quickly). Sometimes pressing the home button once even brings up the assistive button (which for me should take three button presses). This did not happen before I updated my software. Has anyone else had this issue? Know how to stop it? Very annoying and at this point feel like I should have waited before I did the update.
Hello ..do you have a history on the phone? did you get it wet? was it dropped? have you been using an authentic ORIGINAL apple charging cable?
this problem occurs when there is a short circuit in the phone... you most likely got it wet at some point and maybe didnt even realize it? The moisture in the phone hasb probablly oxidized one or several capacitors, integrated chips thereby short circuiting the phone. that is why he phone is acting erratic because these short circuits inadvertently "activates" other circuits.. eventually the phone will not turn on anymore- the heat will stress the citcuit board and you will have discontinuity along your main power lines and the phone will cease to function..i see this alllll the time in our shop
the fact you upgraded to ios6 will even work the phone harder because its a more powerful operating system taking full advantage of the A4 chip.. -
Just installed Mac OS X 10.8.5 on a Mac Pro 2010 platform.
The App Store shows there is an upgrade, so I click the download button.
After about 2 hrs the process stops and an Error (102) appears on the screen.
Any idea what goes wrong?

If the App Store is showing 10.8.5 as an update, what do you currently have installed? The final update to Mountain Lion was 10.8.5, and since the basic OS installation of Mountain Lion is no longer offered in the App Store, that would suggest you're currently at an earlier version of Mountain Lion - 10.8.x where x=less than 5. If that's the case, I'd suggest getting the 10.8.5 update. There is also a Supplemental Update for 10.8.5 and that may be what the App Store is offering. -
I bought the app peru tv in march. Sometimes it stays idle when downloading a tv channel so I ended up deleting the app and reinstalling it. Today I can't even find the app in the store. Please help. In the web UI we have business role IC_manger where you can search the activities based on employee responsible and you can use business transaction assignment functionality to assign those activities to any other end user or team.
Else you can also use Agent inbox functionality if you have configure the agent inbox for those activity.
