Where is the government alerts on iPhone 5?

I am looking for the government alerts on the iPhone 5.  I have the latest version of iOS (6.1.4).  I looked in the notification center (that is where my wife's is) and I can't seem to find it.

what government alerts are you referring to?  You may well have to subscribe to a service to get alerts.  Have you subscribed?
In the U.S., if your carrier supports it, all the way down at the bottom of Settings>Notifications, is a section called "Government Alerts". The two that you can turn on or off are Emergency Alerts (severe weather is the only thing I've seen so far) and AMBER Alerts (missing children). There is a third category, Presidential Alerts. However, they cannot be turned off. Hopefully, we will never see one.

It sounds to me like you would like to manage your iTunes notifications. Please refer to the attached article for information on turning on / off your iTunes notifications.

    - The iTunes backup that iTunes makes included photos in the camera roll. If yo go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices what is the date of the backup? Is it when the photos were on the iPod? You have to restore from that backup.
    - What may have happened is that you backup the iPod after you restored the iPod but before restoring from backup. iTunes only keeps one backup and overwrites the previous backup with the changes.

  • Where are the apps on my iphone?

I downloaded the new version, my iphone is upgraded. I went to iTunes and downloaded two applications. I synced everything up. Now WHERE on my iphone can I actually access the applications? I see a new button for the "App Store", but nothing for the applications themselves? I even went to the app store and attempted to download one of the apps again, and I got a message saying I'd already downloaded it. So it appears to be on my iphone somewhere, but where?
I've looked in my iPod options, in Safari, in my favorites...this is so frustrating.

Thanks, MrMinor. I also forced a sync when I plugged it into my machine, and it actually tells me that I had apps on my phone that were not in iTunes. It then told me I could transfer those, or not transfer them. If I did not transfer them, they would be deleted from the phone.
Hopefully they'll fix this bug of app buttons not appearing when they're downloaded via iTunes.

  • Where are the next shipments of iPhone 3G's?

I figured maybe someone here might be able to provide me some insight to the question; Where are all of (new shipments of) the iPhone 3G's?
I believed Apple would insured shipments were made to all their stores so that Tuesday there would have been more, and Wednesday, and so on until sales started to drop off where daily shipments were no longer necessary. Much to my disbelief, Monday and Tuesday shows no new shipments made to apparently anywhere in VA, MD, NJ, PA, OH, IA, IN, TN, KY, DE, CT, MA, NH, RI, or NY. There is a store here and a store there in some of those 15 states that shows one of them in stock, but essentially, they are gone. If you look at California and New York where the flagship stores are, they have some (probably a large quantity) of each of the 3 choices of the iPhone 3G.
Monday may have been an 'Out of Stock' day because phones couldn't be shipped out on Sunday but, what I don't understand is how on a Tuesday there are extremely few, if any to be found in the states I mentioned. What was the logic used when Apple decided that only after 9PM can you check the availability of the phone for the next day and not have some sort of 'real-time' tracking. Does this mean that if a store gets a shipment at 2PM this afternoon and you happen to be in the store (again, the store in my area won't answer their phone) you can purchase one, or are those phones only available for the next day? Even AT&T is providing 'real-time' (or at least semi-real-time) availabilty for the customer's that chose to go the Direct Fulfillment route.
The local Apple store doesn't answer the phone anymore (even AT&T stores are answering, they just start off with '...we don't have iPhone's...'). I understand they are busy but as a minimum level of customer service, someone should always be stationed to answer the phone for customer's. When I went into the store I was greated with a blank stare while I asked about availability then politely advised; '...no, sorry, we don't have any right now and we don't know when we're getting anymore, but check the web site tonight...'.
The AT&T stores (Apple's premiere partner) can't even get any to sell (other than using Direct Fulfillment), Apple stores now answering their phones, and now the online availability showing no phones in stock 5 days after release within a 15 state area. I think that demands that questions be asked to individuals at Apple's corporate level that determined the marketing and supply strategies for a major product release like this.
I congratulate Apple on the milestone achievement of selling 1 million iPhone 3G's in a 3 day period, but I find it difficult to believe that a global leader like Apple would have failed to anticipate this kind of demand and the response to consumers to be '...we don't have anymore...' or '...we have a shortage problem...'. The question again; Where are the new iPhone 3G's, and when will they be available for us to purchase again? If the statement that stores are getting shipments daily is true...

Thanks Nathan, and that's where I have been checking at since Friday evening. IMO though, it's only 50% effective simply because it isn't real time, you can only check it for the 11 - 12 hours a location is closed. If a location receives stock in at 11am today, well you wouldn't know that unless you go into the store every day and ask (and most likely you're not going to get an answer from the store reps other than what I noted above) or after 9PM. A leader in the computer industry such as Apple should be more than capable to provide real-time tracking of produc availability (in fact, they do it all the time for their online store).
Right now, it's not so much that I can't tell whether a store has stock or not but more of why isn't the phone in stock in most of 15 states on the Tuesday after the launch weekend? Is Apple sold out? Are the stores holding them until this weekend for another 'spectacle' event? Why don't the stores answer their phones to advise customers during the day if the shipment 'they receive most days' is there and you can stop in and pick one up?
Bottom line, my opinion is that the management of the release, distribution and sales of this particular product (at least where I'm at) is lacking the minimum level of customer service that should be the standard in the industry, let alone for Apple.

  • Where is the iCloud Drive on iPhone?

I thought there was going to be some sort of iCould Drive viewer (like the one in the demo of IOS 8) on the iPhone and iPad, like I have for Dropbox.  If there isn't, why would I get rid of Dropbox?

I have Yosemite on my Macbook, it has a viewer for all files.   There must be an update coming for the iPhone after Yosemite goes GA because they advertise the fact that you can... "Store any file in iCloud Drive.  Then find it on any device. Welcome to your place in the cloud. With iCloud Drive in the Finder, you have a folder where you can store all types of files, organize them the way you like, and access them from all your devices." http://www.apple.com/osx/preview/apps/.
Hopefully that means viewer capability on phone, otherwise you couldn't organize or access text or PDFs.

  • Where is the delete button on iphone 4 for the removal of photographs /

Can anyone tell me where the delete button is for removal of photographs on iphone 4 ?

For photos in your camera roll, photo stream and other photos in folders you created on the camera, select the photo, the select the trash can icon below it.
For photos you synced to your camera from your computer, you have to deselect the photo on the computer and sync again.

  • Where is the iTunes to/from iPhone pairing information stored

When you sync an iPhone with iTunes it (the iPhone) has a continuted/ongoing relationship with that instance of iTunes.  For instance if you try to sync the same IP with another iTunes installation you get prompted to that effect.
What I want to know is where is this information stored on the iTunes installation (for OS X), i.e. what information is this and where is it stored.  I assume some UID is stored within iTunes to so that it knows that this partcular iPhone has a relationship with it.
Also I assume there's something stored in the iPhone itself (so that it knows which instance of iTunes it's related to).

Thanks - that works once it occurred to me to display the menu items. The actual solution I used was to enable Photostream on the Apple TV that is linked to a folder in Photostream. The advantage is that the set of photos is automatically updated in iCloud and I don't have to have my PC switched on to get the screensaver working.

  • Where is the 'audio alert' to help if jetpack gets lost

If Jetpack 5510 gets lost, it says you can go to the access admin web interface, then from the advance tab, click audio alert, and it will beep for 10 seconds.
    1.  What site address do I initially go to?  my.jetpack?
    2.  I could not find an "advance tab"--where is it?
    3.  Where it asks my admin password, where to I find that?  All I find on my Jetpack is 5 asterisks.
Thank you.  I lost my Jetpack for about an hour last night, while it was still on, and this service sure would have been helpful!

The Web or User Interface or Admin Webpage is: http://www.192.168.1.1
I don't see anything in the Mifi5510L Manual about an audio alert.
The Advanced tab is in Jetpack Settings on the Admin Webpage.

  • Where is the back button on iphone 5?

    Hi, new to iphones.
When I open an app like email, text message,  often I find there is no way to go back one screen other than hitting the home button to end the app.
    Am I missing something here?
Is there a back button like Safari has but for the phone operating system?
    Thanks

For Mail and Messages it's in the top left corner and it is usually labeled with the page your going to go back to. There is no back button like Safari in those apps.
    Hope that helps.

  • Where is the restore button for iPhones on the new version of itunes

I have bought an iPhone 4 which was on orange ee.
The friend has paid them to unlock it and they confirmed it has been done but my voda sim shows no service.
The instructions from ee mention restore from iTunes but the new version doesn't appear to have to have this button.
Can someone let me have the process for resetting a network unlocked phone through iTunes.
    Cheers

I need to add to this that when I connect to iTunes the screen just brings up a message sim needs activating but I tried the sim in a voda iPhone and it works so the sim is good
