Downloaded the latest version. There is a bar (app bar?) with stuff I never use. Tried to hide it, according to instructions. Nothing happens. Also, the "go back" arrow has disappeared.

I am trying to like this. I do not. Top bar has "Firefox" in orange and the web location. Next bar is this app bar with stuff like facebook and youtube and celebrity and "word of the day" crap. When you export your movie from iMovie, are you choosing H.264? That is the only compression method supported by this miDVD. Youc an give this a try first:
Use Share > Export to Quicktime > Movie to Quicktime Movie > choose Options and then make your choices in Settings, etc (you can choose whatever size your video is - mine was 720 HD at that time):
If that does not work, I'd suggest going to their support site as they claim to be able to burn to DVD.... I just checked their site and here is their list of supported file types:

What happened to the drop down menu on the navigation bar that showed previous pages visited? It was to the right of the "forward/back" arrows.

To get the tab history drop-down list, you can:

After I have finished at a site and want to go back to the start page the "go back arrow" does not show the start page how can I fix this

I am using Fire fox 3.6.15 which was updated on the March 6th.
The Start Page will open and allow me to go to any site but when I want to return to the Start Page via the 'go back arrow' the Start Page is not listed.
I am wondering if it is part of the new upgrade.

It's actually not hard to fix. I had the same problem on my Bold 9700. You need to go to the main desktop on your Blackberry, and find the Messages icon (it looks like an envelope - same-looking icon as your email icon). Click on it, then scroll thru the messages. You'll find a message with same annoying little yellow circle icon, and the URL of the web site you tried to access when your Blackberry powered down. Click on the URL, and let your Blackberry load that web site. Voila! After that, the Browser Notification Icon will have disappeared.
I wish that future versions of the Blackberry OS will alow you to click directly on the notification icon and get taken to the relevant app (as happens in Windows). As is stands, the notification icons are more annoying than useful.

Repositioning the forward/back arrows.

Hello all,
Can't work out how to move them but would anyone know if it is posible to reposition the forward / back arrows on the basic Safari menu bar? I keep finding myself hitting the red button in error. Somewhere under 'edit' would be about right.

Not having used it for years, I couldn't find the tool bar

I upgraded recently, had the "go back" arrow and favorites/bookmarks-then one day it was gone! I did have the firefox button to get to my bookmarks, but now that is gone too! I am not liking this but hate to go back to using Explorer-what is going on?

All of these changes were within the last week.

If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key, that should make the menu bar appear.
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
* If items are missing then open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"
* If a missing item is in the toolbar palette then drag it back from the Customize window on the toolbar
* If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up.

You can check that toolbars are selected for display by using one of these menus:
orange Firefox button > Options > (Toolbar Name) ''or''<br>
classic View menu > Toolbars > (Toolbar Name)
If you can't use the menus, you may be in full screen mode. Try the F11 key to switch between full screen and normal views.
If your Navigation toolbar is displayed but messed up, you can try fixing it by customizing it or by resetting it back to its default configuration. This article may help: [[Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars]].

I also have lost the back arrow in Safari 6.0 running under Mountain Lion. Change of tab in preferences does not seem to help.

James, as always, go up to "View" then click on "Customize Toolbar, and drag the forward&back arrows on to the top of your toolbar.

Go back arrow not working in Safari

The Go-Back arrow in Safari is not working. How can I fix it?

Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

Gray Reply Arrow Bug in AppleMail

I use AppleMail to manage my email, and I route a Microsoft Exchange address through AppleMail. When I am in my inbox and reply to an email, Mail does not always put the small gray arrow next to my message to indicate that I've replied to it. The message sends, and I know the person on the other end gets the email, but Mail does not put the gray "reply" arrow next to the message. Sometimes it does do it, but 90% of the time it doesn't.
This is pretty annoying, and causes me to forget which messages I've replied to or not. Anyone know how to correct this bug? Here is a screen shot to show what I mean:

Yes, all the repies in question are from the Mail client on the Mac. When I use my iPad to respond to a message, it indicates on the iPad that I have replied, no problem. The lack of reply arrow only occurs when I reply to a message on my MacBook.
I'm not sure which Exchange email server it is -- it is the service my university uses for student email, so if I had to guess I would say 2010 Exchange, but I don't know for sure/don't know how to check.

How to fix back arrow problem which brings up old pages from days ago

Both ipad and iPod bring up sites from days ago when I use the Safari Back arrow.

On both devices, tap Settings > Safari
Tap to clear History, Cookies, and Data
Then restart both devices.
Go to several sites then try the back arrow.
If that doesn't help, try "resetting".
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Then try Safari again.

While in Safari, go up to the "View" menu, and then click on "Customize Toolbar." Then take the foward & back arrows from there, and drag them back onto your SAfari toolbar.

Why have you changed Safari's back arrow?

Since installing Lion (10.7.3) with Safari 5.1.3, I have been really irritated by the "cosmetic" change which makes the enabled back arrow not easily distinguished from the disabled (dimmed) back arrow. The two are so similar in shade that I have to waste too much of my time trying to understand which state the arrow represents.
How did this slip past the Jobsian quest for perfection?

In the top left on my screen where the back arrow button is to go back to previous webpages, there used to be a drop down arrow just to the right so I can see many of my previous web pages. Since installing Firefox 4.0.1, that arrow disappeared.

You can get the drop down list by either right-clicking on the back/forward buttons, or holding down the left button until the list appears.
If you want the drop-down arrow you can add it with the Back/forward dropmarker add-on - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/backforward-dropmarker
