Where is the "Import" and the Tools
Every three or four months I take LR4 out of mothballs, try it, and then put it back in mothballs. I click Library and can't find images and/or the "Image" button; if I import images, voila, suddenly the screen changes and the tools which were on the previous screen disappear when images appear for which they are needed.
Good ol' ACR gets the job done for me every time. The LR4 flim-flam interface just doesn't work for me.

I would agree with Rikk about the tv.adobe.com video tutorials.
There is also some very good information here:

http://help.adobe.com/en_US/lightroom/using/WSC9E4E6EC-CF8D-4775-ABFD-F7D614FCB892.html
Also, when you have LR open and in the Library Module, click Help and select the second item down -- Library Module Tips. Clicking through the tips may help you understand the Library panels.

Where is the tool to select a portion of an image to crop?
I am new to PS cc 2014. Where is the tool to select a potion of an image to crop?
You'll find the Crop Tool on the Toolbar. It might be behind the Slice or Perspective Crop tool.

A small triangle on the tool icons denotes that other tools are located below.

Where is the tool script on photoshop ?
Where is the tool "script" in photoshop. I had this in an old version.
I am not familiar with a Photoshop Script named "tool" so I assume this is not part of the default installation.
So you probably need to copy it into the appropriate Scripts-folder. -

I am trying to download a new theme. Lava theme. However, it will not let me download that or any other theme for that matter.
It continues to say, So and so could not be installed because Firefox does not have the needed files. What does this mean?
Also, on the newer version.. I can not find the tools option..The Firefox versions which come with many Linux distros have the default Mozilla Firefox updater disabled and use the distros built-in updater.

Where is the Tools tab on Firefox 5.0 so I can make Google my homepage?
I want Google as my homepage, but can't find the Tools tab on the latest Firefox. My husband disliked the new browser so much, he reinstalled the older version of Firefox. I'm sure it's something simple, but I'm still in the intermediate stage of computers.
-> Tap ALT key or press F10 to show the Menu Bar
-> go to Help Menu -> select "Restart with Add-ons Disabled"
Firefox will close then it will open up with just basic Firefox. Now do this:
-> Update ALL your Firefox Plug-ins https://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/
-> go to View Menu -> Toolbars -> unselect All Unwanted toolbars
-> go to Tools Menu -> Options -> General -> ''When Firefox starts : '''select "Show My Home Page"''''' -> Type the address of the website which you want to be your HomePage e.g. http:www.google.com -> place Checkmark on "Show the Downloads window when downloading a file" -> select Radio Button option2 "Always ask me where to save files"
-> go to Tools Menu -> Options -> Content -> place Checkmarks on:
1) Block Pop-up windows 2) Load images automatically 3) Enable JavaScript
-> go to Tools Menu -> Options -> Security -> place Checkmarks on:
1) Warn me when sites try to install add-ons 2) Block reported attack sites 3) Block reported web forgeries 4) Remember Passwords for sites
-> Click OK on Options window
-> click the Favicon (small drop down menu icon) on Firefox SearchBar (its position is on the Right side of the Address Bar) -> click "Manage Search Engines" -> select all Unwanted Search Engines and click Remove -> click OK
-> go to Tools Menu -> Add-ons -> Extensions section -> REMOVE All Unwanted/Suspicious Extensions (Add-ons) -> Restart Firefox
You can enable your Known & Trustworthy Add-ons later. Check and tell if its working. -
Every time I try to change something like "turn off cookies" the FIRST action I am asked to take is go to tools menu.......WHERE THE $&*$%&^IS IT????????
In newer versions of Firefox, the Options window has been moved from the Tools menu to the Firefox menu. Press the orange "Firefox" button in the top left corner and then choose "Options."
You can also press Alt+T on your keyboard to show the Tools menu (or just Alt to show the whole menu bar). Or you can right-click on the orange Firefox button and select "Menu bar" to turn the old-style menus back on. -
Please tell me how I can access what used to the tool bar? I am trying to find TOOLS where I can click on the drop down menu and select OPTIONS to get rid of cookies on a website. I was trying to find this for FRUSTRATING HOURS yesterday! Please help! ALso, in my very limited knowledge of troubleshooting, somehow I downloaded the MOST ANNOYING little GOOGLE taskbar that floats ALL OVER my screen and I cannot maximize the screen or anything over it uuuggghh! for the life of me, I cannot remember how I ever got this nebulous little demon, I was trying so hard to find the tool bar! Please advise. Many, many thanks for your help!
pj''Where is Tools > Options in Firefox 4 and Firefox 5'':
You can make Firefox '''Firefox 5.0''' look like Firefox 3.6.19, see numbered items 1-10 in the following topic [http://dmcritchie.mvps.org/firefox/firefox-problems.htm#fx4interface Fix Firefox 4.0 toolbar user interface, problems (Make Firefox 5.0, or 4.0.1, look like 3.6)]. ''Whether or not you make changes, you should be aware of what has changed and what you have to do to use changed or missing features.''
* http://dmcritchie.mvps.org/firefox/firefox-problems.htm#fx4interface
Or for Tools > Options you would find that under the "Firefox" button then in the right column of the drop-down look for Tools. It does not fit the needs of Firefox users with extensions you still have bring up the Tools menu from the Menu by using the "Alt" key to temporarily see the the menu bar. -
Tools/Menu Items in Photoshop 6 ("Where is the * Tool now?")
So, you've been working with Photoshop 5.0 or 5.5 and you are used to seeing the tools laid out before you in a certain way. Now you install Photoshop 6.0 and your entire interface is messed up. Where IS everything??
Once you get into using Photoshop 6.0, you'll find that it's not really messed up. The most frequently used items are laid out for easier and quicker access.
Below is a list of some of the most frequently (and not so frequently) asked questions concerning the location of your favorite tools.>
TOOLBOX TOOLS
Crop Tool
It's graduated from the Rectangular Marquee pop out menu to it's own button-third one down on the left. Whoohoo!
Gradient tool
It's no longer hiding behind the Eyedropper Tool. It has its own button, which hides the Paint Bucket tool.
Line Tool
It's now listed behind the Custom Shape Tool. You can access this by holding down on the Custom Shape Tool Button until the Line Tool pops out.
Liquify
Under the Image Menu.
Measure Tool
It's in the Eyedropper Tool flyout. You can access this by clicking and holding down on the Eyedropper Tool until the Measure Tool appears.
Paint Bucket
It's in the Gradient Tool flyout. You can access this by clicking and holding down on the Gradient Tool until the Paint Bucket Tool appears.
Pencil Tool
It's in the Brush Tool flyout. You can access this by clicking and holding down on the Brush Tool until the Pencil Tool appears.
Rubber Stamp
It's there. It's been renamed the "Clone Stamp".
Type Masks
They are now a part of the Options Bar. -

WHERE IS THE TOOL BAR ON THE ELEMENT 13 PAGE.
CLICKED ON WINDOWS AND SELECTED TOOLS. TOOL ICONS CAME UP ON LEFT OF PAGE. I NEED "AUTO BLEND LAYERS"
You can click on the tool options button at the bottom. If you have a tool with multiple options e.g. clone tool, the choices can be selected from the tool options bar.
Auto-blend is usually available when using Photomerge, found under the Enhance menu; for example when stitching a panorama from several images. -

i am trying to find the tools icon on my mozilla web browser bcos it wont let me download adobe flash player and ive donethe troubleshooting and i need to find the tolls to see if my javascript is enabled in order to download adobe flash player.can u help asap
Have you got the NoScript add-on installed? That deals with turning on Javascript on a per site basis (it disables Javascript but you can enable it for chosen sites). If you have, then you'll need to change it so that either NoScript allows adobe.com or you can temporarily allow the site (right-click on the NoScript icon to change). Anyway, the NoScript website will have further help if this is the problem.
If you don't have this add-on installed, then we'll need to check whether a setting in about:config has changed. about:config is Firefox's advanced configuration tool (so be careful). Open a fresh tab, enter "about:config" (no quotes) into the address bar, click the warning button (there be dragons), then enter "javascript.enabled" (no quotes) into the search bar of about:config, which should find the relevant setting. If Javascript is running, then its value should be set to true. If it's set to false, then you'll need to double-click the entry (or right-click and select toggle) to set it to true to enable Javascript. -
Where are the tool bars and menu?
