  • Where are the portal discussion forums gone?

When I click on any of the portal discussion forums from the link
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/ias/portal/discussion_forums.html
    I get a 404 error!
eg: General Portal Discussion Forum (link http://www.oracle.com/forums/forum.jsp?forum=14)
    returns page:
    http://www.oracle.com/errors/404.html
This link worked until 2 days ago!

The cited URL is incorrect; this forum is actually located here:
    Oracle Application Server Portal

Well this question should have been posted under Community Feedback (No Product Questions) forum.
That said, it could be the case that during switchover from new forum version to old version, that post might have been lost.

  • HT4060 Where on the iPad mini do I plug in the power cord?

I just bought a new iPad mini and need to recharge the battery.  But I don't see where on the iPad to plug in the power cord.  The power cord has the same male connector as my iPhone 4.  Help!

Use the cable that came with the iPad mini, not with your iPhone. Different connectors.

  • Where is the ipad backup kept

where is the ipad backup kept

    <Profile>\<AppData>\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup
And on the assumption that your supplementary question is "It's taking up too much room on my C:\ drive, how do I move it?"...
You can redirect <Profile>\<AppData>\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup to a folder on another drive using NTFSLink (shell ext., might only work on XP) or Junction (cmd line tool).
In essence you move the existing folder to a new location, create an empty folder where the old one used to be, then get the operating system to link the two togther and silently redirect any file operation on the old location through to the new one.

  • The adobe discussion forum is useless

the adobe discussion forum is useless because there is nearly no support from adobe and it is very difficult to become an overview of only one subject. Too many threads, not at all selfexplaining...
I can not find a way to edit my last entry...
It`s frustrating and does not inspire me to join the discussions any more.
    regards

Odd. You seem to have made a post right now. Is there any way that you can be more specific? For example, any error messages that may show up when attempting to post?

  • Flex language questions should go in the General Discussion Forum

This forum is intended for Flex Builder questions.
Of course you can post wherever you like, but if you want
help, go where the helpers are.
    Tracy

can you define what goes where then?
General discussion sounds like thoughts, comments, hopes and
    wishes.
Builder 2, (meaning Flex Builder 2?), seems to be the only
area for other Flex 2 questions.
I don't mean to be wise here, but I personally don't
understand what a "builder 2" question is if not those that deal
with flex 2, such as those posted here. I want to post my questions
where they should be so that I might find help, so maybe the forum
labelling should be re-considered or better defined.

  • Where to find a Discussion Forum JSP application?

    Hi!
I am just wondering if there is, somewhere an application for a discussion forum made in JSP. It is a so common application that I don't want to bother to start one from the scratch.
It is aimed for an Intranet, does any one knows where can I find one?
    Thank you.

  • Where does the iPad store passwords?

If I need to log into a site on my Mac I can find the password in keychain access. I need to know how to access stored passwords on my iPad. My iPad is currently connected to my daughter's wifi but I need to go online with my laptop. She is not available to tell me the password. Where can I find the password?

    rbrylawski,
It is no more of a security issue on an iPad or iPhone than on a laptop MacBook Pro.  There is no reason that you could not have a special password-protected area that would allow you to see the automatic passswords that it is using.  Mac's have keychain access, there is no reason the iPad and iPhone have to hide those passwords.
I have had the occasion several times to need to sign onto a WiFi site with my iPhone, when I had previously done it with my iPad. Unfortunately, I didn't memorize the password and had a lot of trouble making connection.

  • Where is the iPad 2 hyphen for my Apple ID?

My Apple ID is my email address. I have to log in to the iTunes & App Stores in the iPad System Prefs. I have been logged in since last April...
    ...but...
...due to a little error, I have to log in again. And my Apple ID /  email address contains a hyphen in it. Where is the hyphen on the keyboard?
This only seems to apply to the keyboard that pops up for the iPad 2 iTunes & App Stores System Prefs. If you have the iPad 2, go look in the System Prefs. See what I mean. Help.

With the "Apple ID" field keyboard, it looks like the hyphen is moved from below the "1" (like on the "normal" keyboard).  I see it two keys to the right of the space bar on the letter (alpha) keyboard.  The bottom row becomes
    .?123      (globe)     Spacebar     _      -     Keyboard button
I was going to say, a work around is to type your Apple ID into Notes, select and copy it from there and paste it into the Apple ID field.  But then, the work around is not needed here.
