I purchased songs from iTunes Radio on my iPhone, but now the only place they will show up is in the iTunes Store app on my phone, even after syncing to my computer a million times, the songs do not show up in my library or anywhere else. My phone is not syncing properly, I wanted to add another playlist to it that I created on my Mac. I pluged in my phone and made sure the playlist I wanted to add was checked to be on my phone when I synced.
The playlist I wanted to add was "Country." It is clearly checked. I also wanted to add the "Recently Added" playlist, which I also checked before sycing. Currently, my phone only has the "Purchased" playlist and my "All Songs" playlist on it. When I hit sync, iTunes added another playlist automatically added another playlist to the list above and checked it. It was titled "ALL SONGS 1" and had ten fewer songs in it than the playlist I had created, "ALL SONGS" had. This playlist, however does not show up on my phone after syncing, nor does "Country" or "Recently Added." (Every time I sync, another playlist is created as "ALL SONGS 2, 3, 4, etc.") One of the songs (I have not, yet checked the other songs) that I purchased from within iTunes Radio shows up in the "ALL SONGS 1" on this screen:
But does not show up anywhere else. This playlist does not show up anywhere but the two screens above. The ALL SONGS 1 or 2 playlists do not show up here:
When I search for those song in my library, it shows that I do not have them:
But if I go to the iTunes store, I get the play button and not the price of the song:
This is what things look like from my phone's side of things:
"Summertime Sadness," one of the songs I bought from iTunes Radio, does not show up in the iTunes store under purchased "All" or "Not on This iPhone"
But, it does show up under "Recent Purchases"
Also, this is what playlists are on my phone after syncing a million times:
Only what was on there before I started any of this. "Summertime Sadness" and the other songs I bought from inside iTunes Radio, do not show up in either of these playlists. Please, help me.

  • Where did the iPhone Calendar list function(s) go with iOS7? The Calendar has gone all 'spread sheet' on me and definitely not user friendly. Please advise.

Where did the iPhone Calendar list function(s) go with iOS7?  The Calendar has gone all 'spread sheet' on me. If you select an item (grey dot) from the month display it will open up the 'spread sheet' at the current time of day, not necessarily when the calendar entry takes place.  I liked iOS6 where you could turn your iPhone to landscape mode and get that special 'spread sheet' feel if that's what you're into.  Has a 'List' presentation been removed from the iPhone Calendar with iOS7?

The List view is displayed by tapping the Search magnifying glass.

  • How to I get itunes radio on my iphone four with ios 7

How to I get itunes radio on my iphone four with ios 7

So I was having the same issue and through guess and check I think I figured out the problem.
Essentially iTunes Radio is only available in the US, hence your phone needs to know you're within the borders of the USA.
I went into Settings > Privacy> Location Services > System Services (at bottom of the screen) and started playing around with some location systems I had turned off to preserve battery life. As soon as I turned on the "Setting time zone" function, iTunes Radio became available again.
It looks like Apple uses that system service to determine location of the phone and thus the availability of iTunes Radio.
You may have to close out the Radio app and restart (or even restart your phone) to make it work but so far so good for me.
    Good luck!

  • TS5181 I don't have iTunes Radio on my iPhone 5. Why?

I don't have iTunes Radio on my iPhone 5. Why?

What country are you in ? It's currently only available in the US - if you are in the US then try logging out and back into your account on your phone, and if that doesn't get it to appear then try a soft-reset (i.e. a reboot) by pressing and holding both the home and sleep buttons for 10 to 15 seconds after which the Apple logo should appear.

  • Wanting to know how to use itunes radio on my iphone

I'm inquiring as to how I can use the itunes radio on my iphone ?

There is no facility in the iPhone for handling iTunes radio. There are third-party apps in the App Store that can play radio from the internet, although not for all the stations in iTunes Radio.

iTunes Radio is only available in the USA for now...

  • HT5848 Have downloaded iTunes Radio in my iPhone. I want to know the data plan consumption for playing iTunes for an hour straight.

    Hi,
Somebody kindly help me to understand the usage of 3G data plan while playing iTunes Radio for an hour continuously.

First, there is no "iTunes support line". The iTunes Store does not have phone support, and unlesst things have changed very recently, the normal Apple tech support lines cannot help with iTunes Store issues.
Anyway, what do you mean by "won't let you"? Have you followed the procedure outlined in this support article?

  • In Lion 10.7.4, where are the iPhone backups?

Before Lion 10.7.4, iPhone backups were usefully to be located in User/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup.
This was handy because it meant that by copying the files you could use more than one computer to access the iPhone(s).
In 10.7.4, the Backup dossier is still there (when you actually manage to access the now hidden User/Library, for which purpose, by the way, the following thread is a great help: https://discussions.apple.com/message/18386812#18386812), but it is now empty.
iTunes still recognises synchronized iPhones, so the file is somewhere around…
Does anyone happen to know where it has been put?
(I did think of using Time Machine to restore the backups to this pre 10.7.4 location, but decided not to in case that created a glitch.)
    Thanks for any help

I have read that article but the path provided does not exist on my system. I do not have a file "Application Data" under my user name.
Your computer is probably set to NOT show hidden files, I know on my PC which has Vista, I need to go into Tools menu/folder options/click on the view tab, you need to look down the list that will have appeared in the little window for SHOW HIDDEN FILES & NAMES, see the picture in the below link. You need to change this to show hidden files etc and you then should be able to see this folder.

  • Where is the iPhone backup file stored which is produced during synching?

Background: I had a HD crash and replacement: this created problems with the iPhone apps in iTunes (i.e. they "disappeared" from the Applications tab in iTunes.
Question: why can't I restore the iPhone to the last backup that is automatically made when you sync? Does anyone know where that backup file is located and how to invoke it?
    Thanks and cheers,
    Veit

Allan, I am puzzled and hope that you can help and clarify:
I did try the "Restore the iPhone to its Factory Settings" approach and did transfer the iTunes folder (from before the crash) through Time Machine to the new HD. When I connect the iPhone to the computer and start iTunes there, I am informed that an iphone has previously synced with this computer and am asked whether I want to set up a new iPhone or "Restore from the backup of iPhone". BUT, the Last Synched info states that the last sync was TODAY, and NOT as of before the crash (when the Apps and their Settings were OK, i.e. to what I would like to restore). Frustration galore.
This begs the question: 1.) where on the computer is the last backup stored, and can that be replaced by using an earlier version found on the Time Machine? But then I think I understand you saying that the backup process of the iPhone does NOT contain the Settings and Data related with each third party application, only the app itself; or did I misunderstand you.
Hence question 2.) Where are the data and settings of the apps stored: in the Backup that's created when syncing (and apparently only a single, i.e. the last backup is kept, and that in my case is useless), or in the Mobile Applications folder under iTunes, which can be restored.
And finally 3.) you state: cancel the backup when you connect the iphone to the computer running iTunes. When I click on the x next to where it says that the iPhone is being backed up, it cancels the whole sync process, not only the backup process.
Sorry to bother you so much, but I'd really hate to loose all the data and settings of the ninety or so Apps which I am using. Again, many thanks in advance for any clarifications.
    Cheers,
    Veit
I am using vers. 3.0.1 on the iPhone and iTunes 8.2.1 on a PowerBook G4 (i.e. NOT Intel based)

  • Using Windows 7...where is the iPhone Backup File Location?

K...Im trying to burn a CD of the Data have for my iPhone 3GS so next time I restore from a different computer i can always have my files with me...where do i find it?

    Windows 7 is not supported.
If the iPhone's backup is in the same location as Vista with Windows 7, this link provides where the iPhone backup is located with XP and Vista.

  • Where is the iPhone backup?

    Hi,
Recently, I just backup iPhone via iCloud service. I'm wondering where is the backup file stored at?

    On Apple's iCloud servers.

  • Discussions performance and where is the iphone version?

Why do long threads in Apple Discussions (like some recent ones in the iPhone 4 discussions) totally peg my processor when loading? Why is the performance of Apple Discussions so much worse than other discussion forums?
And secondly, why is there no iPhone formatted version of Apple Discussions (or even an iOS App?)

Rendering is not done at the server side. Rendering is what is done client side in the browser, which is why it is called a "rendering engine", for example the WebKit ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WebKit )rendering engine is what Safari uses. (Or more accurately, rendering can be done by all sorts of client side applications, browsers are only one of the most common applications that render web pages).
    See steps 13 - 16 here:
    http://friendlybit.com/css/rendering-a-web-page-step-by-step/
The web/application server generates the HTML and sends it and the CSS to the client. The client parses the HTML, CSS, and any other included images, scripts or XML, and renders the page that we see.
Now, having said that - using the term "rendering" for what the web browser does is a fairly recent practice. "Rendering" definitely historically had more meanings.
    Here is a little clarification:
{quote}The names layout engines and rendering engines are in popular use to refer to web browser engines. However their traditional meaning is different. This usage came from the fact that web browser engines themselves include a layout module and a rendering module. But they do a lot more.
A layout engine (or module) is a software component that computes the position of objects in space subject to various constraints. Web browser engines include a page layout module to determine the position of the textual and graphical elements of a page.
    A rendering engine (or module) is a software component that transform graphical objects into a raster. Web browser engines include a rendering module to transform the bitmap graphics, vector graphics and text that make up a web document into a raster that can be displayed on screen{quote}
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Webbrowserengine
Now, to the performance aspect. "Use tree view" does not answer the question - so I am not sure you are getting what I am asking.
I am wondering what in the CSS/HTML and other page content makes the pages take so long to be "built" after the reach the client browser? The full content has been downloaded, and then the page takes forever to format and display. This does not happen with other forum sites using a variety of forum software. (This happens with both Safari, and Firefox - on both windows and Mac machines, desktop and laptop).
The Apple server software is generating the pages plenty fast. It is the web browser engines which are choking on presenting them. I wonder if it is a massive DOM tree...

  • Where is the Iphone?

Not sure if this is the right place but I wanted to get the iPhone for my father but I have been unable to for the last couple of weeks. Not sure why its out of stock and I can't get it online. If anybody from Apple can tell me why I can't buy one.
    Thanks
    Mike

You'll have a hard time finding anything other than a refurbished one from AT&T. Analysts have noticed supplies for these to be dwindling to next to nothing and the supply-chain drying up for the current model.
Analysts also note that Apple historically does this in the few months leading up to a new product release. You can read between the lines. You might want to catch up on tech news on Monday, June 9 after Steve Jobs give the keynote at WWDC... it's expected there will be some big news then about it.

  • Where in the iPhone can you find your cell phone number??

  • Creating a new iTunes Radio station? iPhone 4S?

Every time I try to create a new iTunes Radio station it tells me "Unable to Create Station. There was a problem creating this station. Try again later." I've tried several different times with several different genres. I was wondering is it because I have a 4S and that maybe this creating new stations feature wasn't available for iPhone 4S? I really don't know.
All of the default stations work fine. I just can't create a new one.
And sometimes when I do attempt to create a new one, I can hear short clips of a song playing on the station, but then it quickly stops & tells me that it is unable to create the station.
I hope I put this question in the correct category. I apologize if I didn't. Thanks in advance for any helpful answers! :)

I have just resolved this issue by signing out of iTunes in settings, powering off my iPhone, powering back on, and then signing back into iTunes. YAY :)
Hope this helps anyone with the same problem!
