Where is the jazz music in genius playlists?

I have a large selection of jazz in my library.  However, there is no genius playlists for jazz, but three different groupings for easy listening.  Under what category would I locate the jazz tracks?

You need to create your own playlists for your Jazz music. Genius playlists are supposedly devised based on what you listen to from your library and may not categorize it as you expect. You may well find the music you listened to put into one or more of those easy listening groups especially if what you consider to be jazz is actually considered to be easy listening. For example, Kenny G is really easy listening/new age, but is often catalogued under Jazz. I find it much simpler to ignore using Genius and just create my own set of playlists from my all jazz library.

  • IMovie menu: Where is the background music icon?

    Thanks.

What is that, and what does it look like? I can't find it.
Background music is music you have added to a project "in the background area of the Project window." (I.e., it is not "pinned" to any particular video clip.) Its icon is a pea green in color and looks like this:

  • Where is the "Sample Music" folder from iPhoto located?

Please help me find this folder, I don't know where in my hard drive it might be.
    Thank you.

It's located in the iPhoto (the application)/Contents/Resources/Music folder.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance. iPhoto doesn't not have to be closed to run it, just idle.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • N97, where does the download music go

    hey guys
ive download a song from zippyshare. which folder is it in? i can see it in the playlist. but i cant find it in the folder. i think i save it into mass mem
    thanks

It depends on what you used to download.
If you use the browser then it goes to a folder called Download.
If you used another application to download then it could be anywhere.
I would connect the N97 using mass storage mode to a PC and then use either Windows file search or similar to find it.
    Other places that could be
    \sound files
    \music
    \sounds
    \playlists
    \podcasts
640K Should be enough for everybody

  • Where is the option to update Genius in "the store"?

There are certain songs that I try to get Genius results from but itunes cannot do this.  It advises to update Genius from "the store".  (which store? itunes or some other store)  I cannot find any options to update Genius in the itunes store. Am I totally missing it?

    Hi jonathan,
you are implementing time and labour 0PT_C01.
for that we have only 2 standard data sources
    1 is 0HR_PT_1
    2 is 0HR_PT_2
in addition to the above data sources we can also use 0HR_PT_3 data source for the info provider 0PT_C01.

  • Where's the Nokia Music update for FP2???

    Hello,
Was this update pulled lately from pipeline? Because it's been a week since when I performed a clean update to FP2 on my 808 PV and the only over-the-air updates back then were Microsoft Apps and New Social; also only these two updates were offered via Nokia Suite.
No sign of Nokia Music and / or other minor updates at the time being.
What's wrong with the rest of the updates? My Nokia Music is useless right now (it won't open).

  • I have a generation 5 Nano iPod. I have created Genius playlists  and want to sync them to my iPod. How do I do this, as they are not shown in my library when syncing my music.

I have a generation 5 Nano iPod. I have created suggested playlists from the iTunes store using Genius. I want to move these playlists into the playlists in my library so they can be synced to my iPod. I don't seem to be able to do this, and can only listen to these Genius playlists on my computer. How do I transfer these?

On a 5th gen nano, you can actually create and listen to Genuis playlists on the iPod.
You can also set up automatic syncing to include Genius Playlists.
In iTunes, if the iTunes sidebar (along left side of window) is hidden, from the menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar.  In the sidebar, the Genuis playlists that you create are shown under GENIUS (not PLAYLISTS).
If you use automatic syncing, you set up the iPod's Music screen in iTunes (where the Sync Music checkbox is located).  Genius playlists are shown on the iPod's Music screen, under Playlists, where you can select (checkmark) them as items to be synced to the iPod and maintained by iTunes.
If you use the manual method (with the Manually manage music and videos setting), there is no way to include the actual Genius playlists.  However, you can create a new playlist manually on the iPod using iTunes.  Then, drag the songs from a Genius playlist to that playlist on the iPod.

  • What is the difference between Genius Mix and Genius Playlist?

Yeah, what is actually the difference between Genius Mix and Genius Playlist?
G.P. starts with a song I select and teams up with songs that go with it while G.M. is only songs that go well together, is that it?
A G.P. that I like can be saved and altered, but G.M.´s seems to be volatile? Can I see all the songs in a G.M.? All I can find, is the possibility to click Next and Previous.
    Thanks

Genius Mixes are 'Genre' based groups of music.
Genius Playlists are songs that go together based on other people's playlists, they can be from any Genre.
You can't see what will be playing in the Genius Mix list.

  • HT2978 Genius playlist on iPhone 5s

I just switched from a iPhone 5 to a 5s. I can't make a genius playlist in the music app. What's up? Did they take this away with the 5s?

Don't know if this is of any help, but I recently bought a song from the iTunes store (let's hypothetically call it "Africa," by Toto...the choir at my daughter's school was singing it a capella, and did a fine job BTW) and copied it to my iPod Touch. (I manage music manually, FWIW). When I tried to create a genius playlist from "Africa" I got the message "This song does not have enough related songs to create a Genius Playlist." Since I could create a Genius playlist on my computer from "Africa," I figured the problem was I had not first geniused the song on my computer before putting it on the Touch. I deleted it from the Touch, updated Genius on my computer, then copied the song back to the Touch. Voila, as we say on the Serengeti, it worked: Genius playlist on the Touch from "Africa." Lot of effort for a Toto song, I'll grant you, but there was a principle involved....

  • Genius Playlist on iPhone

Anyone having a problem getting the Genius playlist to work on the iPhone.
I have the same music on iTunes as I do on my iPhone (750 tracks I think), I can get a playlist created on iTunes no problem, but on the iPhone with exactly the same tracks it is telling me it does not have enough information to create a list.
