Where is The Library Section on iTunes??

i bought new iPhone..Itunes used to say music,movies,tv shows,podcasts,ringtones etc. on the left side of the screen but instead itunes only has songs, albums, artists, genres, playlists etc. on the UPPER middle sectoin of the screen..how can I get to the section so I can put my free mp3 to the ringtone section?? can someone please help me? There used to be the ringtone section to the side of the screen where I can just drop my mp3 file inside that folder..

I've been to 'edit > preferences' on the general tab & checked the ones I want but they don't appear...
There is no ok or apply button so I have to click the X in top right....

You have to create a ringtones. Google will find several ways to do this.
I use Garageband.

Where is the Genius Sidebar on itunes 11 ???? Don't tell me that they have remove this wonderful feature ?....

I looked under file but I couldn't find the "Genius & Playlist" option. I also looked under the other options on the top left side but I couldn't find it there either. And all "Genius suggestions" does for me is show similar songs already purchased in my library. It doesn't show me anything new that I haven't purchased.

I have used iTunes to download a bunch of podcasts. They show up in the "iTunes Media Library" folder. I cannot figure out how to persuade iTunes to move the things to the shuffle.
I have a gen3 shuffle and iTunes 11.0.1.12 running on WinXP. If i run help/diagnostics, (connectivity and sync only), all "connectivity" tests pass but the device sync test says "no iPod touch, iphone or ipad found" and "one or more tests failed". So is the "gen3 ipod shuffle" not SUPPOSED to pass (it is not a ~touch, phone, or pad)?
The shuffle (and one book file i dragged directly onto it) is visible to the Windows "file explorer", and that one book will play on the shuffle. Nonetheless, when it is plugged in to the USB port, the orange light continues to blink; it does not turn green, as the PDF for the thing suggests it will do when fully charged. Is blinking orange the expected behavior for a fully charged device?

If you import the audiobook as an audiobook to your iTunes Library, it will be listed in the Books section of your Library. You may need to turn on Books in order to see them. If you cannot see the File/Edit... etc. menu, use CTRL B on your keyboard to make that menu bar appear. Then go to Edit/Preferences>Books and put a tick in the box.
But, if the imported audiobook shows up in the Music section of your iTunes Library, highglight the files (in iTunes) and select File/Get Info/Options/Media Kind>Audiobook. These files will now transfer to the Books section of iTunes.
Once on an iPod Classic, look under the Audiobooks menu. Again, you may need to change the settings in the Settings menus, in order to have the Audiobooks option shown on the Main Menu and/or the Music Menu.

Not sure how long this has been a problem. Kids are young and I manually manage most things but recently having music synced is an issue. All software has been kept up to date.

What is the library section in the bookmarks toolbar used for now. I used to be able to organize my bookmarks here now the left pane in library under organize bookmarks is always empty.

Used to be able to organize bookmarks in the library section (left pane) but since upgrade this pane is always empty even if i try to add a folder or bookmark. Is there another way to organize without having to do this in the library section.

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

This is incorrect.
The Photos tab is always available when you have your iDevice connected.
First open iPhoto, move the photos you want to get rid of to the trash, then close iPhoto.
No one seems to want to delete the photos from iPhoto/computer.
They just don’t want them to sync to the iPad.
