Where is the .m2v menu file located for saved projects?

Hi, i've done this before, but seem to have forgotten...I was wondering where is the location of the .m2v files of a saved project. The reason why i would like to find the .m2v file, is so i could convert the .m2v to .dv in order to create a menu on motion. From my remembering, the menu file could possibly be under the project file under "show package contents", but i seem to not have any success of looking for it recently. Can anyone help verify where the menu files are located?
thanks for your time.
Leonard
i've burned the project and looked at the contents of the dvd and found a file with a .evo extension, would this have any relation to my question?

evo is HD DVD file, not SD, so this may not apply (and you probably want to double check your project settings.)
The items that DVD SP makes are in the PAR & MPEG files in a folder in the level where the assets are located, and if you do the show package contents on the project and look in the Render Data Folder what you are looking for should be there (when DVD SP has to render, there are some times it will not have to render)- Check out the manual DVD SP 4 (Pg 230 of the PDF) for certain instances (not all) where menus willl have to be compiled/rendered
To do the show packkage http://dvdstepbystep.com/ira/ shows how to do it, just Highlight the DVD SP saved project (instead of the app intself) as shown in Step 1 on that link, then drill down

Where are the actual Aperture files located? Only in the application? I am transitioning to Lightroom and would like to only move some of the files. Advice appreciated. Also anyone know how to transfer in with edits? Using iMac, OS X, most recent Aperture and Lightroom 5.7 with plugin for Aperture.

    Define "the Aperture files".
    Read this concise guide.
The files you imported into an Aperture Library can be exported (at any time, and repeatedly) using the command "File ▹ Export ▹ Originals".  Your Originals are never altered.  What went in is what comes out.
Adjustments and changes to the metadata that you made since creating an Image in Aperture by importing a file are saved to a text file.  This file is combined, on-the-fly, with the Original to create the Image that you see in Aperture.  There is no file saved to disk that is the full-size Image.  Thumbnails are saved, and Previews are saved.  These are JPG files, almost always smaller than the Original.  They are not substitutes for the Image for the use you have.
When you need a file of an Image to use in another program, you export the Image from Aperture.  "Export" means "Make me a file of this Image according to these file specs I'm providing".  The way to get files of your adjusted Images is simple:  create them by exporting.  Specify "Original size", and use a loss-less image-file format (e.g. TIFF 16-bit) if you want to retain as much visual information as possible.
Search the Web for information about transitioning from Aperture to Lightroom.  Note that I say "transitioning".  You cannot move a database from one format to another without significant changes, and likely some loss of information.  Adobe provides a tool and some instructions.  I strongly recommend working out the process step-by-step, and then proceeding with first a few Images, then a bushel-ful, and stopping to use the first few, the the bushel-ful, before committing your entire collection to the process.
As always, never use any computer file without having a back-up.
We have seen mixed reports here of the success of the LR tool that creates a LR database from your Aperture database.
If you want to carefully define the process, and test and refine it, use the excellent process-development, analysis, and execution program inShort.
Sadly, there is not and can never be a good, thorough re-positioning of the digital assets in your Aperture Library to become digital assets in a LR database.  Just as a metaphor for any user contemplating transitioning to another digital asset manager:  that would be like digging up a house in one country, planting it in a hole in another country, and expecting to be able to use the toilet and the sinks, turn on the lights, cook dinner, and sleep soundly.

  • Where are Pantone color library file locations for InDesign CC?

I cannot believe how difficult it is to find this information. It should be a quick search in the regular Help system.
I'd really like to find the file locations for Illustrator CC and Photoshop CC too, because I need to update my Pantone libraries, but every place I can find to save them does not seem to be the default location, so I end up with a really long dropdown menu of strangely duplicated library names, and I have no idea how to clean it up or where the program is looking to give me that list.
As far as I can tell, the default libraries are located whereever that first set is. The lower sets must be somewhere else, but I don't know where, because I've deleted all Pantone sets but one that I could find, but I can still see them (and the other non-pantone color books) duplicated in the lower sets.
Please help! Also, Adobe, if you see this, this information should be READILY and EASILY found through the main Help menu in any Adobe product.

@Maurizio – the standard settings, the joboption files with the brackets like [PDF/X-1a:2001] are stored inside the inDesign app for InDesign CC 9.2.1.
The path for these would be:
    /Applications/Adobe InDesign CC.app/Contents/MacOS/Resources/Adobe PDF/settings/mul
or with a Japanese version of InDesign:
    /Applications/Adobe InDesign CC.app/Contents/MacOS/Resources/Adobe PDF/settings/japan
If you do a right-click on the InDesign app you can show them with "Show Package Contents" options.
All other PDF joboptions that you are creating are relative to your current User Library. They are stored in:
    ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe PDF/Settings
Where the tilde sign at the beginning indicates the home of the currently used user.
You can access ~/Library, if you press the alt key when accessing the "Go To" menu in the Finder. Otherwise it's invisible.

Where are iTunes backups stored on your computer
The folder where your backup data is stored depends on the computer's operating system. Make sure the backup folder is included in your data-backup routine. iTunes places the backup files in the following places:
    Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
The "~" represents your Home folder. If you don't see Library in your home folder, hold Option and click the Go menu.
    Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
To quickly access the Application Data folder, click Start, and choose Run. Type %appdata% and click OK.
    Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
To quickly access the AppData folder, click Start. In the search bar, type %appdata% and press Return.

  • Where are the auto recovery files stored for Visio 2010?

I have auto recovery set for every 5 minutes.  I have been working on a file that has been saved several times a day.  Today when just moving a shape Viso 2010 crashed after I had been working on the file for over 2 hours.  Auto recovery popped
up every 5 minutes indicating it was saving the file.  After the crash the ony file I could find was the file as it was when I first opened it this AM.  None of the work done today was saved.
Did auto recovery completely fail?  Where can I look for the auto recovery file?
I have not done a reboot because I am afraid that if the file exits it will be gone for sure if I reboot.  Any suggestions are welcome.
There must be a temp file or something that I can look for but not sure what the extension would be or the location.
    Hopefully someone here can help.
    thanks,
    greg

How do I know? You state the the auto-save file extension is .vxd - that's the Visio document XML format.
You can change this in File -> Options -> Save
As for the crashes, are there any messages when a crash occurs?
Check that the video drivers you have are the latest, try a different screen resolution to see if that changes anything and turn off or change any screen accelerators.

  • 10.0.6 - Where is the freeze frame file located ?

    Hi there,
    I am on 10.0.6.
When I did freeze frame, I need a copy of that frame in jpg. How do I know where is the freeze frame located physically ?
(NB: When I did a "Reveal in Event Browser", it only brings me back to the original video in the Event Browser)
    Thanks

I see, so I have to export and then goto save current frame ?
So does that mean "add freeze frame" only creates a link to the frame & in so doing, Apple actually save so physical disk space ?

  • Where are the Spry Javascript files located in Dreamweaver CS4?

I am sure this is a trivial question but I cannot find them.
The Adobe Web site states that Dreamweaver CS4 ships with Spry 1.6. I am trying to create a SpryNestXMLDataSet, but cannot find where the js file is stored, to copy it to my site. I do not see anything in the insert Spry data set wizard that allows me to create a nested XML data set. Thus, I can get Dreamweaver to add the xpath.js and the SpryData.js files, but I cannot figure out how to add the SpryNestXMLDataSet.js file, nor find a copy within the Dreamweaver program files.
    Thanks,
    Van

    Hello Van,
Dreamweaver only includes the Spry files that can be configured using
the DW GUI. As there isn't a nested XML configurator yet, its not
    included in dreamweaver.
On Mac you can find the Spry files here: /Applications/Adobe
    Dreamweaver CS4/configuration/Shared/Spry/
On Windows its probably something like c:/program files/adobe/
    dreamweaver cs4/configuration/shared/spry/ But i don't own a windows
    pc so I cant tell

Since you posted this question the the LabVIEW forum, I'm assuming you wanted to use the LabVIEW driver and not the CVI driver. The LabVIEW driver does not require any DLL. Get the LabVIEW driver here.

  • Where is the user image file located?

So, I know this has been discussed before, but I can't find a sollution that works in Mountain Lion.
I'd like to be able to locate the image file which I'm using for my user account icon. It also appears in iMessage and Contacts, but I can't drag it to the the desktop. Because I don't know the file name, I can't search for it.
Does anyone know where it is stored? Or how I can extract it?

    Hi,
Previously in iChat the "Recent Pics" were stored and shown in the Drop down in the Buddy list.
    The place was ~/Library/Images
In Mountain Lion it appears that the Drop Down shows "Recent Pics" but is pulling them from several sources.
    The Messages Drop down
The Recent Picture Folder has these:-
    Some Match and some don't.
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.AddressBook holds the Zebra and copies of my Sig and thre Union Flag.
At present I cannot find the ones the System Preferences > User and Groups > your account has as Pic are stored.
Some of the pics are the Apple Default ones.  (Hardrive Name/Library/User Pictures)
You can also take a Snap Shot on Macs with cameras  and I guess it is this that you are after ?
