Where is the manual?

I am trying to learn how to use Adobe Photoshop Touch and I would like to know if there is a manual for it so I can find the answers to my questions.

The only user guide for the iPad is on line.  I got it from the app store and now it sits as my only book under that menu icon.
Forums can be good for items left out or not made clear in a manual.  So many of them are written with the broad audience of readers in mind assuming way to much that the user already knows a bunch.
A good manual writer for consumer electronics should write it with the possibility that the user has no experience with technology and unfortunately what one term in tech speak can be another term for a different brand of the same type device.
The problems I've had with forums sometimes is the one replying reads the question wrong (especially with very complicated procedures) and too assumes too much about the problem which can lead to them totally misunderstanding the asker's problem.  It's all about communication.
I try to give help politely where I can with the many products I use in music, computing, video, and photography, but I have also found some very insulting so called helpers out there who take it upon themselves to express aggravation that I may be taking up time on a forum with a basic question they feel is too low level for what they seem to perceive as their personal forum.
I am having a very tough time getting layers to work with my PhotoShop Touch.  Total failure at present, but I won't give up.
On another forum I have an extremely simple interface question...no replies.  But, I have had some great success in getting answers from nice people, including moderators to getting things to work.

  • HT4354 Nano 6G Sleep Timer: Where's the Manual?

I would like complete, concise directions on how to use the sleep timer (not the 36 hour sleep battery saver feature) conveniently (click on and off while in the music menus) while listening to music. Does Apple provide a complete manual for this product? The "manual" I found didn't have much information. Why can't software/hardware companies write manuals anymore? People are helpful on the forums, but the information ends up being fragmented, hard to search, difficult to date, & hard to pin down to a device version, etc.

They are trying to save trees.

Links to the Hardware Maintenance Manuals and the service videos (Watch the movie!) are in the forum FAQ which is found in the Welcome & FAQs board at http://forum.lenovo.com/lnv/board?board.id=Hello

  • Where is the manual for Maverick?

I can't seem to locate an online manual for maverick. Is there one given by Apple? If so, what is the URL Please.
    Amos

There is no manual. The documentation is via Help. If you have any default application open and need help simply choose from that application's Help menu. This includes the Finder.
If you want printed documentation then you should look for the usual books that are published by third-party authors on how to use Mavericks. David Pogue's Missing Manual series is a good choice. Look for them at Amazon.

  • Where is the doc for xml task options for deploy and ojdeploy-build ?

    I am a new user.
I tried using jdev help to find my answer, but got lost quickly in the zillions of manuals.
    1) Where is the manual/doc for the xml task attributes/options for the Ant tags <deploy> and <ojdeploy-build>?
I am modifying an xml script that ojdeploy will call, but do not know what attributes/options are supported for these tags. I need to know whether an option such as failonerror exists, so that I can report a bug that <deploy> does not default to fail on error (or that <ojdeploy-build> ignores the error and continues with the script.
    Followup questions:
    2) How do I find the java code that implements the tags <deploy> and <ojdeploy-build>?
    3) How do I report a bug on the implementation for these tags and propose a fix (assuming I can see the java source code)?

I guess I wasn't clear enough. What I tried to say was:
    1) Where is the manual/doc for the xml task attributes/options [I meant to say attributes/elements] for the Ant tags [I meant to say tasks] <deploy> and <ojdeploy-build>?
I did not mean the ojdeploy command, but the Ant tasks <ojdeploy-build> and <deploy>.
The jdev help does not seem to provide the complete list of elements or attributes for these critical Ant tasks, though it has a few examples.
So far, it appears that <deploy> has been misdesigned and I cannot do what I want, which is to "failonerror" (failonerror="true" should be the default but the opposite is true and there is no attribute to change the setting).
You could consider this to be a bad flaw in Ant itself, that you cannot get the exit code from every Ant task (since they are java programs they do have an exit code), so when new tasks are implemented by folks who lack experience they may leave out access to this programming feature that is however implemented for a bunch of important core Ant tasks such as "java" or "exec". It would have been far more useful to make this a generic feature of all Ant tasks. Of course then folks would be asking for stuff like "fail if" or "fail unless" and where would it end? Maybe with a real programming language like TCL but in XML form.

  • Where can i find a pdf with the dutch version of the manual for lightroom 6

where can i find a pdf with the dutch version of the manual for lightroom 6

I don't think it's available yet.  The English help page has a link to it:
    https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/topics.html
But the equivalent page for Netherlands only links to prior versions:
Help bij Lightroom | Help bij Lightroom
Same for DE, FR, ES.  Maybe someone more enlightened knows if they're available somewhere else on Adobe's site.

  • Where is the link to the PDF manual?

I am trying to utilize the manual rather than ask my question here at the boards.  Can someone please tell me where the manual is?  I looked but guess I missed it.  Thanks in advance.

if you are using iOS 7, when the phone rings, the option to accept or decline is present: accept is the green button on the screen and decline is the red.
thanks, I don't have this on my phone.  I was at work training someone and my phone rang.  The person training me said the decline option did not appear on my screen.  I literally showed her because I know I've seen it before. Somehow it disappeared.  Is there a way to get it back or should I update the software? (however I need to get an alert first right?)

  • Delete PO - Where is located the Manual PO Number (isn't in NNM1)

    Hello,
In order to reset my system, i've delete the following tables in SQL :
    OPOR : PO Header
    POR1 : PO Line ITems / Detail
In addition, i've changed the table NNM1 (Document Number)
Nevertheless, i don't manage to reset the documents created with a manual doc number. It isn't located in NNM1.
Do you know where SBO stores the manual doc number ?
    Thank you
    Stephane

    Stephane,
As I told you if have deleted records from Purchase Order tables manually, you will land up corrupting your database.  All transactions have a history table where entries are stored.
Also the entry is not just in OPOR and POR1, there are other tables like POR2, POR3, POR4, etc
This will not work well.  Restoring the database to a state before PO import and doing it a fresh would be the ideal way.
If you have not deleted any entries manually, then make sure you have handwritten = tYES in the header template

  • I have read the manual, but as I can see there is nowhere where it tells me how to put my Pages document in iCloud storage, could someone tell me?iDocbackup

I have read the manual, but as I can see there is nowhere where it tells me how to put my Pages document in iCloud storage, could someone tell me?

Here is some information on how to get a document from your iDevice to iCloud (which means you need to have the iOS version of Pages installed on your iPad or iPhone:
    http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/documents/
And here is a slew of other help articles:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/index?page=search&src=support_site.psp.more&locale=e n_US&q=Documents%20in%20the%20Cloud
And, icloud is not really "storage" - it is meant to "push" a document you create on one iDevice to another.
FWIW, I assume you are on Lion? Please change your profile - it still shows 10.5.8...

  • Where can I find the manual for my Mac OS?

ver. 10.7.3: 2.4 GHz core 2 Duo with 4 GB of DRAM.
    I have three questions:
    1. Where can I find the manual for my machine i.e. hardware manual and or consumer/connaisseur manual?
    2. Does it have a zip media drive? I'm looking at the left side of the machine and I see small square shaped slot for a disk of this sort. I know this is a common type of media storage for cameras and would like to confirm that it is zip.
    3. And while i'm at it, could you remind me of the uses of the two ports advancing towards the back of the computer next to the USB inputs.
PS: I'm also interested in any technical information concerning Apple hardware and if you could direct me to the appropriate forums I would appreciate it.
    Thank you in advance.
    Sincerely
    Shawn

I will dubb the theme of this thread: the mass storage data problem and by problem I mean how can we store data in the most cost-efficient and efficacious manor possible if we can classify data storage strategies into two groups respectively: 1) the individual stragegy and 2) the corporate stragegy. The individual, we will say, is rational and seeks to store as much data as possible in the megabyte range, the gigabyte range and the terabyte range. How will he or the corporation, of conglomerate, large, mid-size or start-up size i.e. 2 - 200 people procede. Please feel free to enhance the dialog of this post in the framework of the corporate schema vs. individual and change the estimations, exp: 2 -200, to fit a realistic scenario of what i'm trying to evoke here.
    I'll start of with
MB range = 4 GB Lexar standard USB bought at Dwain Reed (note: this is just a starting point to provoke dialog and don't intend this as a suggestion)
GB range = the portable hard drive at the suggestion of Michael Black of NC
TB range = tape media, at my suggestion that older devices could be used to read the data where an external hard-drive could be used as an intermediary component to transfer data to newer devices, say the portable hard-drive of Mr. Black and an internal-hard drive which is standard in an older machine. We will say that the labor/work required to remove either is irrelevant as our time is assumed to be worthless within reasonable bounds.

  • HT204406 Where is the screen that allows me to manually download music, movies etc on ipod.

Where is the screen that allows me to manually or automatically sync my music, videos etc.

Connect the iPod to your computer and select it on the left-hand sidebar of your computer's iTunes (on iTunes 11 you can enable the sidebar via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC), and on the right-hand side of iTunes there should be a series of tabs - on the Summary tab there should be a 'manually manage music and videos' tickbox.
