Where is the microphone button on the iOS6 keyboard??????

I upgraded my iPhone 4S to iOS6 and now the microphone is gone from the keyboard. How do I dictate emails, texts and notes without it?

Where is the iOS6 version of the iPad User Guide and /or guide for the new version of Maps?

Yesterday I installed iOS6 along with 4 updates one of which was the User Guide, as I recall. But my user guide till has iOS5 Maps guidance so must be the old guide. How do I download the iOS6 UserGuide and new Maps guidance? Thanks

There doesn't seem to be one for iPad yet. There is an iOS 6 guide for iPhone. They are virtually the same.

Where is the nice Keyboard !!!!

What happened to the nice keyboard - replaced with the kiddies toy style one from the MacBook? I have one and I hate it compared to the PowerBook and old Pro ones....Apple - this redesign is your Vista moment! GONG !

Since the instant the very first 17" PowerBook came out my biggest disappointment was with the keyboard! All that wide open space and such a squished up keyboard - just to save costs by being able to share this item all the way down to the 13" version...
After all these years the situation is still basically the same even to this day. On the big 17" version I was hoping to have full CTRL/OPTION/CMD keys on both sides of the spacebar. Bigger function keys and arrow keys would have been nice (some key relocations obviously required). I would have preferred that they made a separate keyboard layout that went end to end on the 15" laptop and shared that one with the 17" version. Anyway, that's just my personal opinion.

Where's the IOS6 Mail refresh button?

In previous IOS Mail there was a Refresh button to manually check for new Mail - this is gone in Mail in IOS6 or have I gone blind?

It has been replaced with a gesture. Tap and pull down on the message list then let go. Mail will check for new emails.

Where is the iOS6 developer console in Xcode?

I've signed up for the developer program and downloaded Xcode Version 4.5 (4G108j) so I have iOS6 running in the simulator but I can't see how to get the new console so I can dubug an Xcode app in a similar fashion to the Safari Developer console.
Any ideas?

For a new contact in ios 7.1 where is the text keyboard to enter the name

I just downloaded iOS 7.1 on my iPhone 4s. When I try to enter a new contact in iOS 7.1 I tap on + then on name but no text keyboard springs up to write the name. Where do I find the keyboard ????? Thanks in advance fro some help. I'm new at this.

A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.
No content is affected by this procedure.

Where's the search keyboard?

When I tap the icon, there is no search keyboard. Just top sites, history, etc.

I am not sure I understand your question, but I am assuming you are talking about the address bar - on top of the Firefox browser, in your Firefox OS mobile device, is that correct?
If so, you are able to search by just tapping on the address bar, and then typing your search term. As you type, a list of previously visited sites with that search term, as well as a "Google Search link" are displayed. Simply tap on the Google button to perform a search with the words you just typed.
If this is not what you are looking to do, please let us know the exact steps of what you are doing, and what you are hoping to do.

Where is the backlit Keyboard?

I got the Lenovo Flex 2 14'' 2 in 1 laptop today. It says on the computer screen on the sticker that it has a Backlit Keyboard (optional). I cant find anything on the compter to turn it on or cant find any help online. Please help !

I believe that 'optional' means that some models have the feature, while others do not.
Can you confirm that your machine is supposed to have the feature?

Where did the microphone button disappeared?

I bought yesterday an Iphone 4s and I liked the fact that you can dictate instead of writing, whenever the keyboard appears. I restored everything I had on my old 3gs mobile and, after I did that, the microphone button disappeared. I upgraded the software but still... it's not there. What can I do to have it back?

That means you have moved to FCP X 10.1.1.
It uses the new Library model and the Projects button is gone along with the Projects folder.
Search this forum for how to update from older versions.
Done the correct way it's trouble free whereas the incorrect way leads to headaches.

That's not what the OP is referring to. He's talking about a key on the keyboard when using iMessge that has a Microphone on it, whicn I beleive is only available on the iPhone 4S as it's part of Siri.

Where is the mute button on a MacBook? I see F10, F11 and F12, but when I push each, nothing happens when I'm in iPhoto running a slide show and trying to turn the volume down. (I now understand how to mute the music...just have to be sure to punch "set as default" after un-checking the play music button.

It's located just below the outside rim of the screen and the bottom of the iPad.

On iTunes 11 you can re-enable the sidebar via View > Show Sidebar. To sync photos, connect and select your iPad on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes (if you've enabled the sidebar), and on the right-hand side there should be a series of tabs, one of which should be Photos - if you select that tab you can then select which photo folders to sync to the iPad. There is a bit more info on this page. You will need to sync all the photos that you want on the iPad together in one go as only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad - synced photos can't be deleted directly on the iPad, instead they are deleted by not including them in the next photo sync.
If you haven't enabled the sidebar, then from you library click 'iPad' at the top right of the screen and you should get a series of buttons along the top of the screen, including one for Photos
