Where is the user manual for Adobe Digital Editions?

Thanks to you both for your replies.
I should have explained that I have already seen 'Getting Started with Adobe Digital Editions', an epub document that comes with the software.  It is only nine pages long, more of a quick guide than a manual. I had expected that there would be more to the software than is covered there.  Perhaps there isn't.  (To explain a little further: I was looking for a way to cause epub pages to print or display like the pages of the original book, but couldn't find anything about printing beyond.  That feature is present in the Bluefire Reader for iOS devices.  I tried printing a particular page using Ctrl+P and specifying the page number.  The page printed, but it was spread over two sheets of A4 paper and the page number was not printed.)

  • Where are the Muse reviews?

Not sure if this is the right place to bring this up, but I couldn't see anywhere else on the forum more appropriate.
I was e-mailed quite a while ago now asking if I would write a review of Muse, which I duly did, and submitted it.
I then got a message back from Adobe, now over two weeks ago, that my review had been accepted and was "live on our site".
Well, the link supposedly to my review that was in the message just goes to the Muse homepage, after several re-directs, and I can find no reviews of Muse anywhere on the Adobe site!
So, what's all that about? Where exactly are these reviews?
    Cheers, Dave.

Hi RobertoBlake, it's great to hear about your review plans!
If/when you encounter hand-coders discussing Muse generated code, please consider pointing them toward our recent blog post http://blogs.adobe.com/muse/2012/10/29/code-improvements-in-muse-1-0-and-2-0/. and encourage them to give us feedback here on the forum regarding approaches to improving page load time, browser compatibility, SEO and accessibility. Those are the 4 key factors we consider when working to improve code generation from Muse. One thing that's very important to many hand-coders that is much lower priority for us is generating code intended for maintenance by a hand-coder.
Most of the negative comments regarding Muse code date back from Public Beta 1, a year ago August, and/or those lending their "me to's" without actually looking at the current code output. There have been huge improvements to Muse code generation (and all aspects of Muse) since Public Beta 1 and we still have a long list of additional potential improvements we've identified. We'll continue to work our way through that list (and add to it, when additional potential improvements are identified) and make improvements to Muse output with virtually every new release—improvements Muse users can take full advantage of by simply updating and opening and re-exporting/uploading/publishing their sites.

  • Where's the FREAKING manual for the DigitalLife Security System?

Where is the printed documentation for the AT&T DigitalLife Security System?  The so-called on-line system is PATHETIC and UNUSABLE, as it is impossible to(a) get it to run at all and (b) has light gray TINY printing on a white screen, making it UTTERLY impossible for senior citizens like myself to read (when we can get it to appear at all). After all the time and money I've spent on this system, I WANT SOME DOCUMENTATION!

  • Where is the user manual?

I just bought a 16GB iPhone and can't seem to locate the user manual within the box. Is there one that comes with the phone or am I just mistaken?

It should be in the black envelope, but, if no, you can view it here.
Personally, I prefer the online User's Guide as what accompanies the phone itself isn't that great.

  • Where is the User manual for X61s

This may be a dumb question but I just bought this as a used machine and nowwhere can I find a user manual. Doesn't seem to be one going thru the Thinkvantage menu. Going thru the Lenovo site I do the auto dectect and that reports what I already know about the model # and op. system. Then I fill out all the blanks for my product and then finally there is no 7666-W1U option, so choosing something close, I get a bunch of useless PDF downloads re: maint. and power settings etc.But no manual. Where are they hiding it?
For starters, I just want to see a #$%^@*& manual to find out what all the buttons and functions do.

  • Where are the older manuals? (Pre-G3 PowerPC)

    Hi I'm new here.
I'm looking for (very) old manuals, in this case for a Power Macintosh 4400/200 which I'm trying to repair. I remember that I've already found such old manuals some years ago, but just don't know anymore where to search. Thanks! :–)

This was once the best resource for old manuals:
    http://home.earthlink.net/~strahm_s/manuals.html#imcs
but it's not been updated since 2003 and many of teh links are now dead, including the one to a 4400 Manual. However some links work so I;m providing teh link for future needs.
And, yes, the older hardware forum CCC linked is specifically for pre-1998 Macs. Anything newer has its own forum area.
One thing that make help in your search is that the PowerMac 7220 is the same computer. This is from the MacTracker database ( http://mactracker.ca ):
The 4400 was released in the US in February 1997 as the Power Mac 4400, with a 200 MHz 603e. It came in a newly designed low profile case, with the floppy drive on the left. (a Mac rarity) It had optional 256k L2 cache, and was bundled with either a 14, 15 or 17 inch monitor, keyboard, and mouse. The 4400/200 was also released in Australia as the Power Mac 7220.

  • Where is the ******* documentation/manual/reference?

    Anyone knows?
It should be so pervasive, I should have found it immediately. Instead I am searching Adobe and Google after not finding anything on Pixel Bender SDK's page on labs.adobe.com
Does there even exist official documentation?

I am not really trying anything in particular, as I am using a whole another compiler (haXe) that assembles the .pbj kernel files for use by Flash Player, and just need some sort of documentation for that which Flash Player runs.
Now I know Pixel Bender is not the same as that which runs assembled .pbj files, but regardless, no documentation for either can be found easily.
I am running Linux and the only option for me currently with regards to Adobe's Pixel Bender Toolkit is to try and run it in Wine, which it does NOT do because the installer uses some features of WinAPI that Wine does not yet have in its code. Fair enough. I don't seek advice on making it run, I just need some human readable text for making sense out of Pixel Bender beyond the advertisement of features on labs.adobe.com/technologies/pixelbender and sporadic tutorials (which assume I already have the documentation), neither of which help me.
All I wanted is to extract the documentation, since it is, by some design flaw from Adobe, ONLY available from INSIDE running/installed Toolkit, and not like a standalone PDF like the rest of Adobe's manuals.
I found ONE SINGLE third-party copy of this PDF from a Korean website. This speaks volumes about Adobe supporting developers, does it not?
P.S. Good gods, the performance of this JavaScript/AJAX-ridden bloated forum really SUCKS. And don't tell me Firefox on Linux is inadequate, this is the first one that is so awful in performance - apparently these "programmers" from Jive Software have trapped cursor moving or textfield changing event, because there is something seriously wrong with typing experience here. I can't type normally without cursor freezing for half a second each second character or disappearing from view sporadically.
Yes I am a harsh critic, but I do weigh what I write.

  • Where is the button to create PDFs in Office 2013?

Until recently I was happily using Acrobat 9 with Office 2003, using the add in for Office programmes to generate PDFs from documents and importantly to archive mail in Outlook.  Then my company 'upgraded' everyone to Office 365 which meant the add in stopped working.  I put up with the loss of the Office add in for several months until I gave in and asked our IT team to upgrade my version of Acrobat.  They have just installed Acrobat XI but I still cant generate PDFs in outlook.  why hasn't the add in auto installed?

You need to make sure that it is updated to 11.0.1 or (preferably) later. The original 11.0.0 was made before Office 2013.

  • Drive tray stuck open...where does the paperclip (manual eject) go?

I've got the Sony drive which has stuck with the tray half out. I cannot remove the drive because the tray prevents any movement sideways. If I get any firmer with the tray or little metal door something will break... My only solution appears to be the manual eject but this is hidden by the door which is stuck in place by the tray. There must be a simple answer but I must admit I can't find it.

    The Great Escape?
After these previous posts I really 'took to' the drive tray and I thought I would let any passers-by know what happened.
I did some more pushing and pulling. much harder than before and started paying more attention to what was going on in the drive and decided to bend the tray in a middle up, sides down way and pulled... two nasty cracks (noises) and a complete and undamaged tray was in my hand. I took the drive out, used a paperclip to reset the manual eject and gently pushed the tray back in. Two nasty cracks (noises) later and the tray runs in and out as it should. The whole mechanism does feel a little looser than before but I risked re-installing the drive and grabbed the top CD from the nearest pile 'The Great Escape".
I have already had delivered a Pioneer 112D which takes over as top drive. So now I have two working drives although the second I know I'll never really trust.
Moral of story: If you have the Sony in your Mac Pro and the tray stays out it can be removed without breaking it using carefully targetted brute force but at the cost of some worry any time a valuable disc goes in.

  • Where is the Muse 6 trial.

I downloaded the trial of Muse CC from the direct dowloads page - so I don't have to use download manager and so it does not auto install. I installed it myself and the version is version 5. When can I directly download the trial of the latest version, which is version 6?
    Thaks,
    Spok.

    Hello,
Please follow the steps provided in this article to check if you're able to find an uninstaller for Muse in your system (also check if there is an uninstaller for Muse that says "Pre-release"): http://helpx.adobe.com/muse/kb/uninstall-muse.html
If you do, go ahead with the uninstall. If you don't, skip the uninstall step. Once done, download and install Muse from here:
    Mac: http://www.adobe.com/go/muse_latest_mac
    Windows: http://www.adobe.com/go/muse_latest_win
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers

  • Where is the .pdf of the manual?

Im looking for the printable version of the Muse manual? Does one exist?

Robert, I asked the same question a while ago and received an expectedly lame response which you can see at the link below.
    https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1466788
Do not purchase the "Adobe Muse on Demand" book by Que Publishing (Pearson). It is very out of date and padded with repetitive content. I would also be very cautious about any other printed references as they will likely be out of date also.
I'm not sure why Adobe Muse can't get the same documentation that we expect from the big Adobe products like InDesign and Photoshop. The feature set in Muse is not very deep and could be well documented without a major effort. I think the best you can do at this point is to try and cobble together information and answers piece by piece from the various videos and forum posts. When possible, click the ? icons next to the interface elements you are interested in and read through the help pages. They have improved over time.
