Where is the new installed program

I recently downloaded two programs and installed both. I have tried searching for them and am unable to find either one. I have looked with view finder and searched for the names and can only find the installer packages for them. I reinstalled and both said they were successfully installed yet no where to be found repeatedly. Any help would be great.

Which applications did you install? Knowing that would help.
Most apps are usually in .dmg or .zip format and are usually just dragged to the Applications folder. Some come as as installer 'packages' but usually end up in the Applications folder as well.
If you'll let us know the names of the programs perhaps we can be of some help.

Why have all my previous "My Ratings" (stars) have been removed and Smart Albums(i.e. 5 star rating in past year) virtually destroyed in the update to the new Photos program? Where are the "My Ratings" capabilities ?

Upon updating to the new Photos program, all the previous "My Ratings" (1-5 stars) for photos have been removed. Why? My "Smart Albums" using the "My Ratings", i.e. photos with a 5 star rating within the past year, have been virtually destroyed in the update. The updates "modified" Smart
Album deleted the "My Ratings" parameter, retained the Date parameter so now Smart Album includes every photo within the date range parameter. Where are the "My Ratings" capabilities ? It appears they have been removed. If so, why ?

Photos doesn't have true star ratings.
However, when photos are migrated from iPhoto or Aperture to Photos, they will have keywords assigned, like "1 star" or "5 stars". You can create smart albums based on these keywords.
You can also assign keyboard shortcuts so if you're in the keyword pane and type 1, it will assign the "1 star" keyword.

Downloaded yosemite and my iPhotos pics now appear as a grey square and triangle with an ! in it with in the new photos program

I have a mac book pro and i just downloaded yosemite. after i downloaded yosemite i went to the new photos program as he iPhoto icon was no longer there and i followed the instructions. i then opened my pics and they all seemed to be there but when i enlarge them or double click on them all i see is a grey screen with a grey square with a grey triangle with an exclamation point in it. so in reality the pics aren't really there! maybe they are somewhere else but i do not know.
just so you know: before i downloaded yosemite i did all the upgrades my computer said i needed to do, no iPhoto upgrade was listed. i didn't do any specific backup before downloaded yosemite but i do have a time machine connected to the computer so i do believe that i therefore have a backup. i am not exactly sure what version iPhoto i had but perhaps my iPhoto and the new photos program are not compatible. i say that because when i went into applications and clicked on iPhoto (as it was listed there) it said "in order to open "iPhoto" you need to update to the latest version. the version of iPhoto installed on this mac is not compatible with os x yosemite. download the latest version for free from the mac app store." so i searched the app store and it says that version is not available. the app store does list iPhoto in my purchased products but it only says update and not download. i clicked on update it doesn't appear to do anything but do a spinning circle for a few seconds and then nothing further. i don't know what to do next! what happened and how do i go about fixing this problem?

The exclamation mark means that the app has lost the link to the actual file.
First step: try and make sure the iPhoto Library is working correctly:
Go to the App Store and check out the Purchases List. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1
If it is there, then drag your existing iPhoto app (not the library, just the app) to the trash
Install the App from the App Store.
Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.

Is there any way to delete duplicate files en mas within the new itunes program?

I've just installed the new itunes program on my laptop. I used the scan for media option to find music. Problem is almost every entry and there's several hundred of them is duplicated and in some cases triplicated within the itunes media library.
Question ... Is there any way to delete duplicated files en mas withing the itunes library folder?
Please don't tell me that I'm going to have to do it individually as that may take days.

Apple's official advice on duplicates is here... HT2905: How to find and remove duplicate items in your iTunes library. It is a manual process and the article fails to explain some of the potential pitfalls such as lost ratings and playlist membership.
Use Shift > View > Show Exact Duplicate Items to display duplicates as this is normally a more useful selection. You need to manually select all but one of each group to remove. Sorting the list by Date Added may make it easier to select the appropriate tracks, however this works best when performed immediately after the dupes have been created. If you have multiple entries in iTunes connected to the same file on the hard drive then don't send to the recycle bin.
Use my DeDuper script if you're not sure, don't want to do it by hand, or want to preserve ratings, play counts and playlist membership. See this thread for background, this post for detailed instructions, and please take note of the warning
to backup your library before deduping.
(If you don't see the menu bar press ALT to show it temporarily or CTRL+B to keep it displayed.)
The most recent version of the script can tidy dead links as long as there is at least one live duplicate to merge stats and playlist membership to and should cope sensibly when the same file has been added via multiple paths.

From my point of view basic post installation steps are:
- Installing SAP License (from http://service.sap.com/licensekeys)
- Setup TMS (STMS)
- Import profiles (RZ10)
- Client Copy (SCC*)
- Create users (SU01)
However further many steps are required as per your requirements. Cehck the link for more detailed steps.

Have you tried using Pages '09 which should still be in your Applications/iWork folder?

IPhoto books in iPhoto - The new Photos program only has square photo books. Will I be able to edit/order books with iPhoto after I upgrade to Photos?

I have many photo books created in iPhoto. These are rectangular shaped. The new Photos program only has square shaped books. After I upgrade to Photos, will I still be able to order books using iPhoto? Or, will Photos allow me to edit books in their original rectangle shape, and order them?

The new Photos.app will have the classic rectangular sizes as well.

It only mentions the new square format, but the classic layouts are there as well, as the picture shows.
But you may not be able to migrate the old book projects. Finish any current book project while still using iPhoto '11 and create new projects in Photos.

I have to reinstall Acrobat 8 that was preinstalled on my laptop. It was reformatted due to malware and I have to reinstall everything. I have the disk and hte serial number but my laptop does not have a CD drive. The link that was previous listed did not work. Where is the new link?

i am not sure whether it was there in patch 8, but i upgraded to patch14 and activated the new editor from
se38->utilities->settings->ABAP editor
here choose radiobutton front-end Editor (New)
warning:- dont apply gui patch 15 it has got some problem. when i applied patch 15 i couldnt event start the sap logon pad.

Where is the new update for N95-3 and N95-4? i have this two phones and i fell disappoint and mad becuz i bought this expensive cellphone and we have no support from Nokia.. this is no fair we are consumers like any other in the world. And the european model of N95 has a lot of updates and we r exent of the updates and support.. thats no fair my cellphone cost a lot of money and no support? only one update for year?.. my cellphone N95-4 compared to the European model is a garbage. Actually, it's the American market that set Nokia aside.
Nokia initially refused to allow network operators to customize their phones' firmware. Consequently, American network operators all but stopped buying Nokia phones. Nokia has since relented and does carry out a certain amount of trade in America now, but they're nowhere near as popular over there as they are elsewhere in the world.
Add their lower popularity in America to the fact that you all use different frequency bands from the rest of the world, which means a different set of hardware, and you begin to understand why the American market is a bit of a bugbear and why Americanised products are low priority. If American networks followed the same standards as elsewhere in the world you'd all benefit from the same updates.
Note that this is just personal speculation and not necessarily Nokia's official standpoint. I am not a Nokia employee.
