The installation guide available at https://linux.oracle.com/documentation/ may require some updating. Last time I checked, chapter 16.16.5. Recommended Partitioning Scheme, did not include the swap space required for hibernation mode.
    It is mentioned here:
    https://access.redhat.com/site/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/6/html/Installation_Guide/s2-diskpartrecommend-x86.html
Swap space size recommendations issued for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.0, 6.1, and 6.2 differed from the current recommendations, which were first issued with the release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.3 in June 2012 and did not account for hibernation space.

  • Where is the Oracle Application Server for Apex 3.2.1?

Hi, I feel ashamed asking this, but I want to know where to download the Application Server for Apex 3.2.1. Apex is installed in a DataBase 10gR1 and the O.S. where I will install the Application Server is RedHat
    I think it is here
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/ias/downloads/index.html
But there is a lot of links and things to download and I don't even know if it will work because it is Release 3 and the DataBase is Release 1, but I tried downloading the "Oracle 10gR3 Companion (10.1.3.x) CD", but after running the installer in the disk1, I found that the Oracle HTTP Server that it would install does not include mod_plsql and I know I need it.
So, which one should I download, or where can I find it?
    Thanks.

Strictly speaking you do not need Application Server or OHS for running Apex, you have an option in ApexListener. If it is a small installation then stick to EPG that comes built-in.
Try downloading the Oracle HTTP Server from here . You will need to check the commercial aspects yourself as OHS is not a free software for Production environment, AFAIK.
    Cheers,

  • Where is the Oracle XML Team ?

    Hi...
Just wondering about where these guys from Oracle responsible for
    the XML tools are...
Well I guessed there are the guys from ORacle responsible for the
    tools... but maybe I'm wrong...
I'm asking this question cause I've posted some messages here
they were the few ones able to answer to...
And I never got any answer back...
Last example to this : it seemed there's a real problem with the
    printStream() function...
And as quite nobody here is interested in the xdk for C I was
expecting an answer from the ORacle XML Team...
    And I'm still waiting...
But maybe the Team isn't operating any longer...
    Please tell me...
    Thanks

The team is alive and kicking. Some of us are more experts in
the Java side of the XDK, so hopefully one of the C/C++ experts
will respond soon. Many of us are at Oracle OpenWorld this week,
so might be answering questions at night and between
    presentations from the show floor.

  • Where are the Oracle Data Binding Frameworks for Oracle Objects?

Oracle offers a few different options for data-binding frameworks to Oracle relational data. Amongst them they include TopLink and the Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF)in JDeveloper 10G. J2EE also offers the EJB standard framework. Both of the Oracle data-binding frameworks appear to work well with relational data but fail misserably when one tries to work with a fully fledged Oracle Object-Relational schema. I have spend much time with ADF but have not been able to create successful bindings to Objects with nested complex objects (such as a 2-level nested object) or objects containing nested tables. TopLink will not even touch Object tables.
Have other people being more successful with this? Do we have to implement our own data binding framework? Does Oracle plan on improving these frameworks to fully support Oracle Objects?

TopLink Runtime supports both fully fledged OX mappings and nested complex objects. These mappings can be setup in the code.
TopLink ADF design time however currently does not have support for OX mappings.
    Hope this helps,

  • Where is the Oracle WSRP producer?

Hi, I am looking for the Oracle WSRP producer located at http://portalstandards.oracle.com/wsrp/jaxrpc?WSDL before. But the URL does not exist now.
Could anybody let me know the producer? In fact I saw those remote portlets on http://portalstandards.oracle.com/portal/page/portal/OracleHostedWSRPPortal/Samples. Thanks.
    Xiaobo Yang

Thanks Sandeep. But it seems that I have set up such a producer by myself with what you mentioned. What I want is an existing Oracle WSRP producer which I can use for testing.
    Regards,
    Xiaobo

  • Where's the Oracle Forms Java API documentation for 11g?

    Hi,
Can anyone point me in the direction of the Oracle Forms Java API documentation?
The only thing I can find is this: http://www.oratransplant.nl/1012jdapiDoc/oracle/forms/jdapi/JdapiModule.html but this seems to be for 10.1.2 and it doesn’t correspond to the version I’m using (11.1.1.3).
    Help appreciated,
    Donal.

i couldn't find the api either however if you implement the class you will simply get compiler errors explaining what you left out.

  • Where is the oracle.xml.sql.query package?

    Hi,
I have downloaded the xmlparser_v2_0_2_9.zip. I hoped I have everything to compile the example for retrieving XML document with an sql query. However, the jar file is missing the entire package oracle.xml.sql.query which contains for instance the crucial class OracleXMLQuery. Does anyone know where I could get this package - is it part of another download that I have to do, or can I buy it anywhere? Thanks for your help.
    Karel

It's part of the XML SQL Utility for Java, avialable for download from http://technet.oracle.com/tech/xml

  • Where is the Oracle Application Library (AOL)

Did somebody know where is Oracle Application Library (AOL) in the server? I need to get the latest version from server.
    Thanks

The Oracle Application Object Library is a key component of the Applications technology layer. It consists of a collection of reusable code, programs, and database objects that provides common functionality across all products.
Oracle Application Object Library offers many features to make system administration easier, such as security setup and maintenance, and management of concurrent processing. Using Application Object Library ensures that the processing of flexfields or the procedure for report submission, for example, does not vary from one product to another. Oracle Application Object Library also provides capabilities for developers to extend the operation of Oracle Applications by allowing the creation of custom programs that interact with the base modules.

  • Where is the Oracle install log stored?

Hi everyone. Quick question. I am installing Oracle 11G on a Linux OS. I receive failures on the first set of checks. I want to view these failures outside the GUI, but for some reason I am unable to copy the info out, and place it in a pad. Curious where Oracle logs that logfile.
    Thanks for any info.
    Zach

    Log from linking phase: $ORACLE_HOME/install/make.log
Overall installation logs reside oracle inventory directory (in logs directory).
Path to oracle invetntory you can find in /etc/oraInst.loc file.

  • Where's the Oracle Capacity Planner?

    Hi,
Does anybody know where the Capacity Planner for Oracle Database is located in Oracle Enterprise Manager?
Because I don't have this option in My Enterprise Manager Console.
    Thanks in advance,

    Thanks a lot,
But I'm currently using Oracle (R) Enterprise Manager
    Version 2.2.0.0.0
And again, there is no "Capacity Planner" in Tools menu :-)
Maybe I need to install another version of EM or I should select a specific item under Network node to meke this menu item visible ???
    Thanks
