Where is the Package Contents in Contextual Menu

When control clicking a folder to open the Contextual Menu, as instructed in a tutorial, I should be getting a "Show Package Contents", but this is nowhere to be seen. In this case I´m refering to the Inbox.mbox folder. Anyone know why?

Have a look at this comment below the tutorial:
" tried it and it does indeed work, however, there is one small change to make.
When you change Inbox.mbox to just InBox in Finder, it becomes(always was) just another folder, which contains a file called mbox this is the file which you want to move into the specified thunderbird directory and rename to match whatever folder you are replacing.
Also in the thunderbird folder in addition to the InBox file, there is a Inbox.msf file, if you have ever had anything in the inbox. It is probably a good idea to remove that file as it seems to be an index of the actual InBox fle. Might get a bit messy if you dont remove it. Though I didnt decide to test it.
I am just trying Thuderbird out to see if I like it, so I can't yet comment on it compared to Mail.app, however, compared to Entourage it is great. Of course I switched from mail.app to Entourage and then switched back to mail.app after deciding that Entourage sucked. I specifically hated the search function in Entourage, it was fairly sophisticated in that you could refine your searches very well, but, it took for freaking ever to run a search on my mailboxes. Yes I did have a very large Mailbox at the time, but Mail.app was able to search it quite quickly.
So far I have only one complaint about Thunderbird, if you have multiple accounts, it will only let you search in one of them at a time. I worked arround that by setting filters so that all the mail goes into local folders anyway, so it wasnt a big deal.

  • Where is "Show Package Contents"

I've update my osx into yosemite. Now i want to view application package contents. In earlier version of osx there was a option name "show package contents". But now when i right click on application there has no "show package contents" option.
now how to view the package contents??

I'm having the same issue. I right click on a .pkg installer, and there is no "Show Package Contents" in the contextual menu. The package installs just fine, so it's a proper Installer package.

  • I accidentally deleted the Package Contents of Image Capture

I accidentally deleted the Package Contents of Image Capture.  When I went to delete Image Capture itself it said I needed it.  Not sure what for as I've never opened it.
    What is it for?
If I do need it, can I just put the Package Contents back where they belong?
    Where does it belong?
    Help!!!

Your Mac has a Recovery partition instead of a disk, using it will let you reinstall OSX.
While they were in the trash you could have tried the 'Put Back' command but if you have moved them from the trash it is too late now. Please don't try things out unless you know what is going to happen.
And maybe you should take your Mac to an Apple Store.

  • Photos shown in the Package Contents are not visible in iPhoto.

I am using iPhoto '08 (7.1.5 (378)) and have suddenly found that the last 3 years worth of photos are not displayed in iPhoto while they are still visible in the Package Contents (using Finder).  The folders (with event and image content) for 2012 through part 2009 are in Originals, Modified and Data but do not get picked up by the iPhoto application.  I have backups upto April 2011 i.e. no backups for a considerable number of photos since April 2011.
I have searched previous discussions whereupon I have tried using the re-build option in iPhoto Library Manager (it re-builds with the photos missing) and all the re-build options available when launching iPhoto with the Option+Command keys pressed (with seemingly very little activity).
Has anyone had this problem? Have I missed a relevant discussion?  Does anyone know how I can re-instate my missing photos and events in iPhoto?
    Thank you in anticipation.
    Martin

When you repaired the libary did you check the option ot recover orphane3d photos in the iPhoto Library folder along with rebuilding the database file and repairing file permissions and?
If that doesn't help the try the following:
Starting over from scratch with new library
Start over with a new library and import the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from your original library as follows:
    1. Open the library package like this.
    2. Launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
    3. Drag the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from the open iPhoto Library package into the open iPhoto window.
This will create a new library with the same Events (but not necessarily the same Event names) as the original library but will not keep the metadata, albums, books slideshows and other projects.
Note:  your current library will be left untouched for further attempts at a fix if so desired.

  • My macbook pro crashed after installing maverick. I lost all my photos however the iPhone iPhoto app still has these photos so how can i access the package contents to recover these photos?

My macbook pro crashed after installing maverick. I lost all my photos however the iPhone iPhoto app still has these photos so how can i access the package contents to recover these photos?

We'll need to know more to beable to help. Do you want to try to restore your photos from your iPhone to your Mac, or try to recover the photos from the old iPhoto Library on your Mac?
What is the situation of your Mac now? In hat way did it crash? A hardware problem with the drive? Does the system not start properly? Does iPhoto not launch? Do you still have the iPhoto Library on your mac or a backup, so we could try to rescue the photos there?
What versions of iPhoto are on your iPhone and your Mac?
however the iPhone iPhoto app still has these photos so how can i access the package contents to recover these photos?
On the iPhone you cannot access the "package contents" - IOS hides the file system from the users. To restore photos from your phone share all iPhoto photos to your Camera Roll, that are not already in the Camera Roll,  and then connect the iPhone via USB and import the Camera Roll to iPhoto or Image Capture. Or use any of the other sharing methods described on thos manual page: see:  Ways to share photos http://help.apple.com/iphoto/iphone/2.0/?handbuch#blnk7d8f763e
To retrieve photos from a corruptrd iPhoto Library on your Mac we need to know the version number and more about the "crash" you experienced, the state of your mac, the system, the data. Please post back with more details.

  • Clearing the Finder "Open With" contextual menu ?

After the install I now have duplicates of all the stuff I used to have in the open with menu.
Like VLC and then under it VLC (version number).
    How do I clear it?

    As seen here: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305627
*Mac OS X: Clearing the Finder "Open With" contextual menu*
Ever wondered how to "clear" the Finder's Open With... contextual menu choices of any extraneous or older applications? (This is the menu that appears when you control-click or "right-click" a document icon.)
If your Open With... menu is filled with too many choices to easily scroll through, you can remove the less-commonly used choices. These steps will clear the list except for the most current applications that can open your document.
From the Finder Go menu, choose Home.
Open the Library folder in the Home window.
    Open the Preferences folder.
    Find com.apple.LaunchServices.plist.
Rename "com.apple.LaunchServices", such as to "com.apple.LaunchServices.old", or move it to the Trash.
The next time you use the Open With.... contextual menu in the Finder, only current applications will be listed. Some items may return if the application that controls them adds itself back to the list.

  • Where is the Package Name and Class Name for Android to Facebook SSO?

Where is the Package Name and Class Name for Android to Facebook SSO?
I am trying to fill these fields http://developers.facebook.com/docs/mobile/android/build/#ref for Facebook but i can't figure out what to place in Android Package Name and Andorid Class Name,
same thing for the Android Key Hash, I followed this guide http://www.skoobalon.com/blog/2012/06/13/getting-the-android-key-hash-for-facebook-from-an -air-app/ but I am not sure if it is the right thing to do.
I was thinking maybe the Pakage Name is air.com.myname.myappname (where com.myname.myappname is also the id used in the application.xml) and the Class name is  air.com.myname.myappname.MyDocumentClass ?
Is there an official guide somewhere?
Also do you guys know if there is somewhere a library we can use within AIR to do SSO on Facebook from Andorid?

For what it's worth, I don't think a WiFi connection would be reliable enough. You wouldn't want your picture to freeze just because a neighbour has turned on their baby monitor. WiFi uses the same frequencies as a myriad of other devices, as well as all your neighbours' WiFi.

I need the packing tool - Where is it ?
Is it the url or the command line i windows the this text talked about ?
"The packaging tool is simple command line tool written in Java that makes the appropriate calls to the packaging services web-service"
Can anyone guide me  to where i write this and is it possible to do this i a workflow ?

    /jack

    Hi Jim
Yes, i have read the "Quick start guide" from 20 feb 2009. And some of the post like the "content server 4 help" where they had some of the same problems.
The pdf say " The packaging tool is simple command line tool written in Java that makes the appropriate calls to the packaging service’s web-service APIs "
My confusion is the command line ? - Where and how do i get this ? And can this be a automate workflow ? Is it included in ACS4 or do you have to code all you self.?
And where can i find a guide "how to install the and use " the conrent server so i can put out a book i pdf.
I would like to do someting like this.
java –Xmx1024M –jar UploadTest-1_1.jar http://gort.corp.adobe.com:8080/packaging/Package srcbooks\theArtofWar.pdf –pass barada -xml -jpg
I  can't find out if Adobe Content server or Livecycle right management is the right product. I have to send out pdf files there experies after 6 md and they have to be protected. I feel that ACS4 is the go..
If you have a short guide to pdf to acs4 server and how to create useres i will be happy....
By the way i hope my english make sens, it is my 2 language.....

  • Where is the package for the Fortran 95 runtime libraries? (SPROl90sx)

We're developing an application in Fortran 95 using Sun Studio 12 and we're having the hardest time figuring out where the package SPROl90sx is located that is referenced here...
    http://developers.sun.com/sunstudio/documentation/ss12/mr/READMEs/runtime.libraries.html
According to that readme there should be a package named SPROl90sx somewhere so that on a client server that we want to install our Fortran application on, we can just install the runtime package SPROl90sx and have everything work as we want rather than take each library independently and put them on the server.
Does anybody know where I can find SPROl90sx?

    Hey Calvin,
So I extracted the tar file from the pkg version of Sun Studio, but in the packages-sparc-S2 directory I get a bunch of directories associaed with the packages, specifically I see SPROl90sx. Now how do I take that directory and actually install it on a client machine to get them up and running? pkgadd? When I download a package from sunfreeware.com they come in a single file that we can then install, but I dont see a single file, I see a directory. Does pkgadd have option to isntall a "directory" package? Where would the libraries be installed?
    Thanks.

  • When my MBP is hot, the trackpad opens a contextual menu when i click

    Hello all,
I have been having an issue with my late 2008 MBP for some time now. When i have been using it for a few hours and it is a bit hot, the trackpad will suddenly interpret single clicks as right click.
You probably think that i accidentaly put several fingers on my trackpad, but it is not so. When this starts happening, the problem remains for one minute or more, during which, for example, i can be careful to just click with a single finger, and wherever i may be (a window bar, for instance), boom, a contextual menu opens. This is rather annoying when i'm working without a mouse, because if i want to grab an item to move it, well, it's just not possible. It returns to the normal behaviour after a while.
It seems to occur more frequently when i am using inDesign CS4, but that is probably just because i use it a lot...
I use tap for click, but not the secondary tap, i couldn't quite get used to that one.
    Any advice or solution? Thanks!

  • Where are the packages?

This is my first post so hello everybody!
Month ago I downloaded arch64 0.7.2 cd and successfully instaled (FTP) the system. Using arch was too difficult for me that time so I gave up... I learned a bit and I tried this week again.
I chosed FTP installation. During package instalation 'man' was not found. I installed system without it.
When I type "pacman -Ss man" I get very long list, but "man" is not in that list. I copied man package from installation cd and then I could install it...
But I think it is not as it should be.
Another problem is that pacman doesn't see new packages that apear on the archlinux.org page. For example today there is new nvidia 1.0.8776-1 driver. It should be in extra repository. I have that repository in my /etc/pacman.conf (as default - I haven't edited that file), but pacman shows me only older 1.0.8774-2 version.
I'm linux and arch newbie, so maybe solution is very simple, but I don't understand it and couldn't find it in the web...

You don't really need regex to search with pacman but in cases where there are lots of results, it might help finding what you want.
The reason pacman doesn't see the new packages on the archlinux.org list is because the mirror you are using hasn't synced yet. Depending on the mirror, they  usually synced every 1-2 days so there will be a delay between the package list and the availability of the packages. You could try to reorder the mirrors in /etc/pacman.d/ to use one that sync more often. I think some of them sync several times a day.

    select * from mssqlrbs_resources.rbs_internal_blob_stores
when i click extended configuration column the xml has below value
    <config_item_list>
