Where is the Plugin? Latest JRockit JRE Install.

We are experimenting with BEA's JRockit (latest release). The installer does not appear to install the plugin when we install the JRE. I've had multiple people try downloading and installing the JRE. Did something change? Am I missing something? The documentation (may be outdated) indicates the Plugin will be installed when the JRE is installed. We even tried uninstalling all the Sun JRE's first and then did a clean install of the latest JRockit JRE for windows.
This is perplexing.

JRockit R26 and later do not contain the Java plugin or Java Webstart, see the release notes at:

Granted, it is a bit hidden there, and I'm sure there are pieces of the docs that aren't updated correctly.

You can move file named places.sqlite from your old profile to the new one. It contains bookmarks and browsing history.

If you don't care about saving your current bookmarks, you can skip creating new profile (Firefox does it by itself at first run anyway).
I'd might suggest you to install addon https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2410/|Xmarks Bookmark and Password Sync]. It is a free web service which synchronizes bookmarks and (optionally) passwords with central server, and then to other computers, if you installed it on more. You may treat is as a backup too.

Hi Shib,
Maybe I could agree with you if you only use ODI for DW, for instance.
If you think about data integration, no matter what kind of system, even at transactional system, or datamart extract/load the concept of "source and target" can be any of the RDBMS at company.
What I'm defending is that in a complex environment, where ODI is the company *"data veins"*, the concept of source and target became complex too and, in my opinion, is not possible to decide where the repository should stay just by the use of those concepts.

Where are the plugins?

I'm trying to get Real/WMP to play on my MacBook.
I installed both. When I look for them with Safari>Help>Installed Plugins they are not there.
But when I search for the plugins in HD/Library/Internet Plug-Ins they are there!
Where does Safari expect plug ins to reside?

I don't own an Intel Mac but I've read that Rosetta
(non Universal) is enabled in the same "Get Info"
window.
Highlight (single click) on the Safari app icon and
Command-i to open the Get Info window.
No such option on these plugins. Different info from what you see on a .app!

Just because you can't get it to work, doesn't mean you need a different plugin for iSync 3.0. As I already said, the iSync 2.4 Plugins work fine with iSync 3.0.
If the plugin was not compatible with iSync 3.0, you would get a different message telling you that the plugin does not work with that version of iSync.
The message you are getting means that iSync cannot identify your phone. Either you have not installed the plugin, not set your phone up correctly, installed the wrong plugin for your phone, or your phone is identifying itself differently to what iSync expects.
What are the EXACT steps you have taken so far? Are you trying to sync by Bluetooth or USB? How are you setting up your phone for iSync?

Firefox can find plugins in various places. One of them is the plugins folder in the Firefox installation folder.

You have other plugins installed, so you can see the path of them on the about:plugins page if you first set the pref <b>plugin.expose_full_path</b> on the about:config page.<br />
It is best not to leave that pref set to true as it exposes that full path to web servers, so reset that pref to false after you are done with the about:plugins page.
You can open about:plugins and about:config via the location bar, like you open a website (about: is a special protocol to access some build-in pages).<br />
If you get a warning when opening the about:config page then you can confirm that you want to continue.

Hello guys, I need your help. Where are the pluins stored for After Effects CC 2014 on Mac. I have Mavericks but I basically need your help. I am a an amateur. Just so you know, the plugins are not in library/adobe/commom folder. The plugin is called plexus and has caused some crashes btw.

Welcome to the discussions,
Your music and movies should still be part of the iTunes library on your computer. See if your movies are listed in "movies" in the left window in iTunes.
Photos you took with the phone are part of the last backup, if you did not sync after that. If you did, the data got overwritten.

Where are the plugins installed in Prem Pro CC?

Ued to be installed quite easily in folder called plugins - now all I have is;
C:\Users\Dave\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Premiere Pro\7.0 and there's no "Plugins" folder....

Where's the new Software I just installed

Brand new Macbook Pro (less that a month old. I just installed Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 (for MAC) and it appears the installation went successful. Did not detect in hiccups. At the end I registered the software and got message: "Thank you for installing..."
Problem is: I can't see where the program is located. There's no icon on the desktop and it's not in the dock on the bottom of the screen and I can't find it. Where do I go to find software that I have installed? FYI---I'm fairly new to MAC having recently transitioned from PC. Thx.

On your desktop there should be an icon that looks like a hard drive ( default name is Macintosh HD )
Double click ton icon. Window should open with folders on the righthand side. Double click on Applications folder to open it. You should find Photoshop here. Most of your applications you install will by default be located in this folder.

Where are the updates that are not installed?

If you do not install the updates, were are they? I had download automatic on and so there are a lot of install already donwloaded but not installed, where are they stored? Every update makes my computer more and more slower in starting up so now I am forced to do a complete reinstall. This never happenend to me when I was using my old g4.

If you don't install an update then it isn't downloaded. If you select the option to save and not install then the installer file will be saved. Otherwise nothing is saved on your drive. The next time you use Software Update the uninstalled updates will simply reappear.

Wher is the file "My Catalog 1" installed on a PC?

I want to build a new catalog and delete thw old one, but I can't find it on the computer. Anyone know where to look?

When I open Organizer, I can see the My Catalog. When I try to delete it, Organizer tells me "could not remove because it is being used by another program." I'm about to give up on Organizer. The only reason I want to get it fixed...that is up to date is because my wife uses it. I much prefer to use Bridge and the Lightroom catalog. PE Organizer is next to worthless trying to relink folders/files that I have reorganized using PS Bridge in my opinion/experience.

As you say the link no longer reaches a live page.

If I understand correctly, you can edit what is shown in the side bar within the "Finder Preferences".
under the "sidebar" tab tick the boxes of the things you want to be shown in the side bar of Finder.
under the "General" tab tick the boxes of the things you want to be shown on the desktop.
