Where is the PrePublishState.plist in "domain"?

I thought it should be in the Applications Support folder (for iWeb) in Library. I can see the Doman for iWeb, but a click simply opens iWeb.
Can anyone help me out here please?

Hold down the Control key as you click on Domain. A menu will appear, from which you select Show Package Contents. Scroll down in the window which opens to find PrePublishState.plist.

Where is the MailAccounts.plist file stored for a network user using Apple Mail on Snow Leopard? It appears one of my users has managed to do something to their mail account as Apple Mail will no longer close once opened and the Sent Folder has a perpetual spinning pinwheel.

They would have to be logged in as separate users in order not to see your account in Mail. Whatever accounts put in Mail under your account will show up. All mail accounts usually have there own user and password. The only thing you can do is to remove the password from Keychain and take the account offline so you don't keep getting prompts for passwords each time it checks for mail.
Not a great solution.
Best way is to give the other user their own user account with their own mail and enable fast user swithcing to log between the different users if all access the computer frequently.

Where are the iTunes plist files

I changed to Lion. Because the OS I started from had corrupt files I opted to partition and create a clean instal. Because of the corruption on the old system I do not want to use file migration. The only two things I need to move are my .plist files for iTunes and iPhoto, which I can find on the old system but not on Lion.
I unlocked the hidden files but I can't find the library or the prefernce folder in which to place the old .plist files. Where is it? Does anyone know?

Where is the iphoto plist file in Mountain Lion

I upgraded to ML and iPhoto 9.3.2 and imported a few GB of photos. After the import iPhoto started crashing. It seems like the first step is to delete the plist file but I can't find it in ML. Anyone know where it is?

Usually would be found in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder. However, that particular Library folder is invisible. You can make it visible:
Open the Terminal in the Utilities folder. Paste the following line at the prompt:
chflags nohidden ~/Library
Press RETURN.
You should then be able to peak inside the preferences folder.

No User Library? Where is the Mail.plist and Mail stored?

I have installed Lion on an external USB 2.0 HD and want to copy over my Mail folder and mail.plist from my iMac's internal HD.
I've copied them but don't know where to put them as there appears to be no User Library folder?

We never found out why they hid the user library but not the main library.
I can't remember helping anybody fix anything that they accidentally removed from the Library, but I sure told a lot of people how to fix stuff by digging into the Library.

Where is the email address stored in the com.microsoft.outlook.plist file ?

I had a customer with approximately 600 Mac users who changed their email domain. The email address field in Preferences>Accounts shows the old email address. We need to change that to reflect the new email address. I'd like to know where in the plist
the email address is so that we can try to automate the change.
The mail system is exch 2010 SP3.

Only One domain controller, Remote Registry service keeps DISABLING itself. Where in the registry could this be set?

This is killing my remote management. I have 4 server 2012R2 domain controllers. Only one of them is being affected with this problem. Almost everytime I check, the remote registry service is disabled again. It seems like there is a corrupt
group policy preference that keeps on attacking during a policy refresh, but I can't imagine setting a group policy to disable this service. It is needed for our remote management. Also the IP Tunnel service is also disabling. Another strange
artifact is that when I set a Windows Firewall policy to add an exception for remote administration in a group policy to my Admin workstation, it seemed to set a firewall rule in other computers to block remote administration. I can not figure out where
else this strange Windows Firewall rule Blocking remote administration could have come from. These may be related or they may not, but they are occuring on the same domain controller. I am able to set the RemoteRegistry service to enabled and to
start it (which I have done too many times now), but it constantly is being changed back to disabled. I am searching the registry to find any invalid entries or artifacts that may be affecting these two annoying effects, but I cannot find anything yet.
Any ideas? I need to know what policies will disable the remoteregistry service OR the IPTunelling service, or where in the registry this could be set to enact this during a policy refresh. Of course, any other ideas are welcome, I have spent
several days troubleshooting this, and need to conquer this by tomorrow if possible, thank you. James

Please type
services.msc in RUN to open Services panel, navigate to the Remote Registry service. Then open its Properties and set
Startup type: Automatic. Then please check if this issue still exist.
In addition, please refer to mlippold’s suggestion (the last reply) in following thread and configure relevant
value in RemoteRegistry registry key, then check if can help you to solve this issue.
For registry items, please back up all registry items before all operations. That will help us to avoid some unexpected issue.

domain rename is NOT supported when using Exchange 2007 or higher. And NetBIOS rename is NOT supported on ANY Exchange version.

There are maybe also other applications/services that do not support this.

Where do I find the preference plist for mouse

Hi ALL,
Where do I find the preferenes.plist file for mouse in Mavericks?
I like to trash it because I have to click my mouse pointer sometimes 3 to 4 times before the pointer gives my any reaction.

You may have
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.driver.AppleHIDMouse.plist
and
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.driver.AppleBluetoothMultitouch.mouse.plist
but other settings are in
~/Library/Preferences/.GlobalPreferences.plist
and
~/Library/Preferences/ByHost.GlobalPreferences.-your ethernet id-.plist
If you restart or logout right after trashing the files, you'll normally avoid the caching. You can also use 'defaults delete' on the files in Terminal, or use Activity Monitor or Terminal to quit (or killall) cfprefsd
Test in a Guest or new user account first, to confirm that it's a per-user problem.

I am designing a new master NetRestore image for Leopard. I have all my Dock and FInder prefs tweaked and customized on the image. (They all live in /System?Library/User Template/English.lproj/Library/Preferences...)
The one preference I cant get to stick is the option to "Always SHow Extensions" It appears to not be located in the usual com.apple.finder
Can you tell me where this preference lives?

Sometimes I can't get out of Day view in iCal. There is no where on the screen to select month view, even when I close it out and go back into iCal.

Sometimes I am locked in "day" view in iCal. There is no where on the screen to choose "month" view, even when I close it out and open again. Tapping anywhere on the screen or scrolling doesn't help.

Give this a try:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete the contents the following folder: User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try full screen again.
NOTE: For Mavericks and Yosemite, go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:
where you can check the Show Library Folder checkbox.

SharePoint Designer workflow gives Claims Authentication error for some users. Problem getting output claims identity. The specified user or domain group was not found.

We have a SharePoint Enterprise 2013 system at RTM level. We've installed Workflow Manager 1.0 by following the steps at
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj658588.aspx. For the final step of Validating the Installation we created a simple list-level workflow and verified that the workflow
is invoked successfully. This is working successfully, but only for a single user. If other users in the same site collection try to invoke the workflow on this same list we get the ULS Log Error:

All accounts that are attempting to use the Test Workflow (both working and non-working user accounts) are valid AD accounts and are included in the User Profile Sync that runs nightly. All have Contribute or Design permission level (and for testing,
Full Control).
What could cause the Claims Authentication to fail when certain users attempt to launch the workflow?

Hi Aries,
I am facing issue with work flow where Workflow goes to Suspend mode.
I am facing an issue with SP2013 Custom Workflow developed using Visual Studio 2012.
Objective of the Custom workflow: User fills the form and submit, list get updated and workflow will initiate and go for the process.
Issue: After the deployment of WF, for first time when user is filling the form and submit, list is getting updated. But the Workflow Goes to "Suspend" mode. (
This Custom Workflow has a configuration file where we are providing other details including ID of Impersonator (farm is running under Claim Based Authentication).
Work flow works fine once when the Impersonator initiate the workflow (Fill the form and submit for approval) and everything works fine after that.
Following steps are already performed
1.Make sure User profile synchronization is started.
2.Make sure the user is not the SharePoint system user.
3.Make sure the user by whom you are logged is available in User Profile list.
4.Step full synchronization of User Profile Application.
From the ULS logs it seems the user's security token from the STS service and User profile service is not being issued.
Appreciate any thoughts or solution.

Variable substitution in the environment.plist file

I want an additional item in the PATH environment variable for GUI-launched apps. I've created the ~/.MacOSX/environment.plist file and added an entry to create a PATH variable. I have initially tried to set the value of this to
"$(PATH):/usr/local"
in an attempt to append the /usr/local folder to the path. However, the PATH value appears to be exactly what I've set it to - without the substitution.
1) Is there a way to get the existing value substituted in?
2) As I'm always out to learn new things, is there a better way of achieving this?
(My fundamental problem is that I have written a plugin for XCode and I'm trying to not hard code the location of a compiler into it. Therefore I thought I'd use the PATH variable to let me find it. However the default PATH value doesn't include /usr/local which is where the compiler is located. So I'm looking for a way to add this folder into the PATH value, and the ~/.MacOSX/environment.plist seemed to be what I wanted - as long as I can get the substitution going. Otherwise I have to hard code the path into THAT file which I feel is just as bad!).

   I'm sorry; I didn't mean to imply that this is the wrong place to ask the question. I hope that it's the best place. I was just trying to explain, mostly to myself, why everyone assumes that the part of the system that reads the environment.plist will behave like a shell.
   If you were worried about hard-coding the path on your own machine, I would say that you needn't worry. The only path that exists prior to the setting of environment variables from the environment.plist is hard-coded into the system somewhere. A while back someone found it but that's not really important. If you want to start with that default, you can. If you need to know what it is, I'm sure that we can find it for you somewhere. I assume it's along the lines of:
/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin
   While I'm not telling you to not do it, I suggest that you rethink setting the user's path an environment.plist. Changing the environment of every last one of a user's processes "behind the back" of the user seems a bit presumptuous. It wouldn't be a problem if you set a variable that no other app could recognize but if you added something to my path, my first thought would be to look there for a trojan horse. I would eventually realize that it was misguided instead of malicious but I wouldn't like it. It also stands some chance of changing the behavior of a user's UNIX applications.
   If you distribute an environment.plist file with your plugin, you would also have to address the issue of users that already have such files. Thus, it would seem that you would need to do a little checking in an install script. That being the case, you could evaluate the user's PATH variable in that script and use it to hard-code the path in an environment.plist that you generate programmatically from the install script at runtime. Such a script would also give you the opportunity to ask the user if he wants an environment.plist file.
   Of course that approach would make it difficult for a user to remove an element from his path; it wouldn't be sufficient to cease adding the element to the path in the user's shell startup scripts. You would probably be better off using the default path. That might not interfere with changes the user makes in his shell startup scripts but it would mine. You added /usr/local/bin to the end of a user's path. My startup scripts only add path elements if they aren't already there. However, I want /usr/local/bin in front of the default part of my path so your change would alter the behavior of my system.
   If you want to change the environment of a single application, it is common to "wrap" its invocation in a script that sets the environment before invoking the application. However, I'm not sure how that would work with an Xcode plugin.

Where is the option "Store only headlines" in Mail.app on Mavericks?

Where is the option "Store only headlines" in Mail.app on Mavericks? I used to store all messages on gmail servers. Mail.app on Mountain Lion has feature to load only headlines of e-mails from Gmail. Now It's gone and with new OS Mavericks, I've got 10Gb of mail on my Mac locally.

This problem is slowly killing my machine! I 'upgraded' to a better spec machine so I could synch my phone would you believe it. I couldn't synch my phone and my laptop with a cable, that was fankly incredible.
Now I have a new machine and first thing I did was install mavericks, and now mac mail spends all it's time dowloading mail from may mail accounts. I have 4 imap gmail accounts set up and mail is using 56GB on my local disc to store them.
There use to be an option to limit the disc storage I think 5GB would be quite enough to hald the last few months email locally. Question is how do I set that limit in mavericks. Is there some plist I can edit or something.
Looking at the activity window it seems to spend A LOT of time
"updating cache directory"
I don't think I even have 56GB staore on the server, so how is it possible that I have more on the local copy?

Where is the extension folder for Adobe Bridge? (Mac)

I am trying to install the output module on Adobe Bridge. I am totally new to Creative Suite and photoshop. I can't find any information on bridge extensions at all. Here's the page I found on installing the output module- http://helpx.adobe.com/bridge/kb/install-output-module-bridge-cc.html
I downloaded it but after that is says to copy it into the extension folder. Where is the extension folder? Is it is Bridge? Is it in Finder? Any information on extensions is much appreciated! What exactly are extensions? What is the difference between the extension folder and extension manager?

At first sight I can' see anything wrong about the correct locations you used.
There was no need to delete all workspaces but that also should do no harm I would think.
You once pointed at the bridge6.plist file but it is not clear to me what you did with it. Personally I would quit Bridge and delete this plist file manually and then restart with again holding down option and use reset preferences.
And you did also use the reset to standard workspaces instead of the reset workspace to only reset the selected workspace. I don't know for sure this will make a difference but it is worth a try.
And while you are in the user library to delete the plist file for Bridge also look in the folder caches in this library.
User / library/caches/adobe/Bridge CC and inhere find and delete both the plug in and cache folder, then restart Bridge.
Finally it might be also worth a try to download CS6, it should not be needed to do so but it was one of the earlier solutions that worked. In your ACC menu click on any app that shows blue and this brings you to the CC website. Choose download center and find PS. Click on the icon and this gives you the detailed download page. Inhere you can change CC to CS6.
Download PS6 it and install it (this also installs the CS6 version of Bridge which was not a separate download in CS6). Then try first start CS6 and start the AOM which is installed by default in this version.
Then when having used this once quit CS6 and try CC (or even combine with restarting your Mac).
