Where is the Replication Manager?

Hi, I have made a full installation of
the Oracle 8.0.5.1 Enterprise Server and
now I am trying to create a multimaster replication
but I cannot find anything like a Replication Manager
in my directories. Is there one for the Linux platfor
and where it is?
Thanks

Replication manager is part of the Enterprise manager console.
For Oracle( Enterprise manager is only available on the Windows
platform.
Two Solutions:
* Wait for Oracle8i. Oracle8i will include the Enterprise
manager console (it's Java based)
* Run the necessary PL/SQL procedures by hand

  • Where is the Enterprise Manager in Oracle 8.1.5

    Hi,
    After installing Oracle 8i (8.1.5), I can't find the
Oracle Enterprise Manager. Where is it? In Oracle 8.0.5 on
NT, you can access it from the START button. In the Oracle 8.1.5
documentation, it talks about the Microsoft Management Console
where you can access the Database Administration Assistant.
When I select the database administration assistant menu
from the Start button menu, nothing happens. Do I need to
have Oracle 8.1.5 installed on an NT Server?
    TIA,

    Hi, beeftastic-
There are two color pickers - one is for solids and the other is for gradients.  Here's a screenshot of the properties panel with the gradient picker icon highlighted.
    Hope that helps!

  • Where is the LDAP manager config stored?

    Hi,
Can anybody tell me where the configuration for the applied LDAP policies are stored?
    I have servers running LDAP.
I have added a LDAP policy file to one server, I copied it over to another server.
But when I select the dropdown to see it in User Manager/LDAP it does not show.
I also copied the casadmin.xml file, edited the server name, but it still does not show.
The only thing that works is to create a dummy LDAP, with the correct name, save it and then copy the proper LDAP over it.
Where is this data stored for the LDAP manager?
    Andy

Most of these files are held in memory.  Probably would be best to stop servletexec prior to overwritting the files and then restarte it.
There is also a config file, login-config.xml, that goes along with it.

    Jamie

    Hi,
If no change, your machine runs Windows 7 Home Premium. Device Manager is in the Control Panel. Please
Click Start then click Control Panel. You can see Device Manager in there

  • Where is the cookie manager on Firefox. Can I set Firefox to ask me first to allow individual cookies?

    I read the follow article.
    http://www.mozilla.org/projects/security/pki/psm/help_21/using_priv_help.html
In this article under "Managing Cookies Site-By-Site" It said
"To control cookies on a site-by-site basis:
    1. Open the Tasks menu, choose Privacy & Security, and then choose Cookie Manager.
    2. Choose "Unblock Cookies from this Site" or "Block Cookies from this Site."
When you are warned (while browsing) that a web site is requesting to set a cookie, you can click Yes to allow or No to deny the cookie. You can also select the option for your browser to "Remember this decision."....
My questions is 1. I can't find the cookie Manager in firefox (I have the latest version). The article said "Open task menu, choose Privacy&Security... is that they same as under menu bar, tools, options, privacy (but under this option I don't see the cookie manager mention in the article. (I am thinking what they are describing is not for the version of firefox I have?).
Bottom lines, I want to set Firefox so It will ask me each time the website want to install a cookie and for me to decide to allow that or not. I article above seem to describe how to do that but either I am looking in the wrong place or I am not doing it right.
    thanks in advance.

    Hi,
I think that what you are searching be in Tools >> Options >> Privacy >> On Firefox will: change to "Use custom settings for history" then Button Show Cookies will be allowed and you will see the cookies in your browser in the next window
If you uncheck "Accept cookies from sites", probably the sites that need cookies will alert you that you need active the storage cookies

  • Where is the file management utility on my HP Pavilion dv5-1150us Entertainment notebook pc?

I am trying to hookup a WD My Passport Ultra 2TB external drive for backup on my notebook.  It tells me to check the file management utility to see if the WD File Setup is listed.  How do I go to and find that utility?

    Hi,
    Try the following.
Download the IDT Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
    http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp41501-42000/sp41698.exe
When done, open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Sound, Video and Game Controllers.  Right click the IDT device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall.
When complete, download and reinstall the Chipset driver on the link below.
    Chipset Driver - Windows Vista.
When the reinstallation has completed, shut down the notebook, unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery.  Hold down the Power button for 30 seconds.  Re-insert the battery and plug in the AC Adapter.
Tap away at the esc key as you start the notebook to launch the Start-up Menu and then select f10 to enter the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the defaults ( this is sometimes f9, but the menu at the bottom will show the correct key ), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.  Press f10 to save the setting and again use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.
Let Windows fully load - it will automatically load an audio driver, but just let this complete.  Then open your Downloads folder, right click on the IDT installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation.  When this has completed, right click the speaker icon in the Taskbar and select Playback Devices.  Left click 'Speakers and Headphones' once to highlight it and then click the Set Default button - check if you now have audio.

  • Where is the 11g Management Console?

Ok, I downloaded the Oracle 11g client and selected "Administrator" during installation.
How do I launch the management console? (is it a script in <ORACLE_CLIENT_HOME>/bin ?)

Yes, the 11g Database Control supposedly now has all of the java applet Oracle Enterprise Management Console Functions and Features but that is just not the case. Major missing feature is Navigation Tree to any Oracle Database that you needed to manage. Very easy to open up branches in tree and see database configuration settings, user info, schema, etc very quickly. Web Database Control is slow, clunky, hard-to-navigate and simply missing the very important and useful function mentioned above. Oracle needs to bring back the Enterprise Management Console java app.. I have discussed this at OracleWorld in SF today with several OEM Oracle reps and unfortunately they showed zero interest is such a request.. Apparently it is not in the interest of the large Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control product..

  • Where is the AU Manager?

Sorry for the dumb question, but I can't seem to find it. I have an "unexpectedly quit" fault that has just come up out of nowhere. Have tried reloading prefrences, re-inistalling software, turning off drivers, ect...and can't seem to figure it out. How do I 'turn off' my 3rd party plug-ins? Thanks so much for your help.
    Dual 2.0 G5   Mac OS X (10.4)   3 gigs RAM, Logic Pro 7.1.1

To prevent loading of non-validated plug-ins, start up Logic with control+shift.
To disable all plug-ins (as well as the audio engine), start up with control.
Once you've opened Logic, you can get to the AU Manager via Logic Pro->Preferences->Start Logic AU Manager.

  • Where's the Enterprise Manager

    Hello:
I installed Oracle 10g choosing the Enterprise install option.
I don't see the Enterprise Manager! I see Windows Administration Assistant. But this does not let me manage the database objects and security.
Is there something else I need to install to get this tool?
    Venkat

these accounts are the few that are unlocked by default w/ an install. During installation you were asked to provide a password for each of these accounts or one password that would serve for all of these accounts. except scott, which by default is tiger.
If you have already forgotten or misplaced the sys password you must drop and recreate the password file.
Please provide more details to assist.

  • Where does the certificate manager put the .key file?

I'm trying to generate a new openssl certificate to send off and be verified for my domain, etc. Rather than use openssl on the command-line, I thought I would just use the Certificates panel in Server Admin. (OS X Server 10.4.7)
This all looks fine and seems to generate for me a <domain>.csr file in /etc/certficates, but there's no corresponding <domain>.key file. A key file does not seem to be generated whether I specify a private key passphrase for the csr or not.
Apache is not happy without a key file, it seems.
How can I get the proper key file?
    Thanks

    Hello,
What you can do is checking where are Active Manager field in any system PLD first.  Then you can decide which Active Manager is more suitable there.

  • Where is the page  manage my network extender

I need to log in to my network extender and modify the numbers that are assigned to it. Where do I find that? I had it and bookmarked it now it says the site is not available.
    Thanks

        john51,
You can certainly manage your network extender! You can modify your numbers here: http://vz.to/1BdJSOB  Are you signed in with the Account Holder phone number? This can possibly be why you aren't able to make any changes. Please advise if you have any more questions.

  • Where is the Enterprise Manager Console going to in 10?

All , where can i find out the EM in 10g? I've installed the Enterprise version ? The EM would be removed in new 10g? or is there another tool replaced it ? thanks..

Do you want to create Oracle Enterprise Manager
manually? I don't believe that's possible-- you need
    to install OEM.
Are you asking how to create a database manually,
    rather than through the DBCA?
    Justin
    Distributed Database Consulting, Inc.
    http://www.ddbcinc.com/askDDBC
I have created database through DBCA, but in the end I choice "Generate Database Creation Scripts" but no "Create Database". Later I have run script, but OEM no created. My OS - w2k. After completion scripts I not detected Windows service "OracleDBConsoleSID". Why? In DBCA I checked "Configure the database with Enterprise Manager".
    Sorry for bad English.

  • Where is the color managed?

I inherited a SharePoint 2010 site to manage.  I am a novice here just keeping a seat warm.
When I am in SharePoint Designer and I open
http://TheServer/SitePages/Home.aspx it has a color scheme that appears to be very customized.  I have changed the site theme and all the colors change properly in each page and each sub-site.  Can anyone direct me on where to find or figure
out how this home page is getting these custom colors?  We want to use a couple of them.
    Thank you.

Open the site in internet explorer, then hit f12, then click on CSS link in the developer tool or depending on your browser version, click on the DOM explorer (looks like a cursor arrow), thenk press ctrl and B together, this enables the ability to select
    elements of the page
click styles to see which CSS is applying colors to various elements within your site.

  • Where is the Media Manager in Desktop 6.0.0.40 ??????

Last night the BlackBerry Desktop Manager wanted to do an update.  I've done these updates in the past so I thought it would be safe.
This new version - 6.0.0.40 (Released August 3, 2010 Bundle 42) does not have the Roxio Media manager.  I have to be able to copy files between the BlackBerry file system and my PC.  Not just from the music, pictures and video directories.  I have files in other locations of the file system for my application.
      Paul

I too had the same problem not being able to access any of my files in device memory after upgrading to DM6. Mass storage device is turned on.  I posted this issue on Aug 12 with no reply from RIM/BB with a fix.  I therefore was forced to reinstall DM5 with Roxio Media Manager and can once again access all my files on my device and move them around.  Now I have two DM'S running on my desktop.  As I stated in my post, I'm not impressed with DM6 at all!  Why release something that doesn't work? In my opinion it's a downgrade!
