Where is the router address

My airport extreme is asking for the router address, where is that located?

Does the iPod successfully onnect to other networks?
Do other devices successully conect to the network?
Try:
- Resetting the iPod. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Powering off and then back on yuor router
- Go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

Where is the website address where I can access and manage my iCloud content, apps, email etc?

Apps are not in iCloud. They are in App Store and you can access them through iOS device.
For Email, Contacts, Calendar, Notes, Reminders and iWork go to www.icloud.com from a desktop browser.

  • What/where is the "server address" for the My Cloud NAS?

I recently purchased a 2TB My Cloud NAS to store my FLAC music files (many thousands of them). I'm trying to use JRiver as a media controller but I can't find a path to the files. I'm using a Macbook Air (osx 10.10.4). The controller program asks for a "server address" and I have no idea what it is or where I may find an address. The music files are in the Public folder and there is no other identiification for it as far as I know. One forum suggested the following link : http://wdc.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2686/~/how-to-map-a-wd-network-drive-on-a-mac This link offers several suggestions for a server address, but they are for My Book units and of course they don't work. Where, or how do I get a server address for my files on a My Cloud unit? I'm lost. I would appreciate any help. Thank you for your time.     Bill

    Welcome to the Community.
In most cases, the Server Address is the current path that leads to the devices and/or shared folders. This means the IP address of your unit or your device name, and depending on your system, the exact location to the share with your data. You can obtain the current IP address used by your WD My Cloud in your router and also in your NAS's admin page.

  • Where is the email address stored in the com.microsoft.outlook.plist file ?

I had a customer with approximately 600 Mac users who changed their email domain. The email address field in Preferences>Accounts shows the old email address. We need to change that to reflect the new email address. I'd like to know where in the plist
the email address is so that we can try to automate the change.
The mail system is exch 2010 SP3.

  • Where does the router fallback to load IOS when the IOS in flash memory is corrupted?

If the ios image stored in flash is corrupted from where does the IOS is picked up?

    Hi,
The following details the router boot process:
    1. The router is powered on.
    2. The bootstrap program (ROMmon) in ROM runs Power-On Self Test (POST)
    3. The bootstrap checks the Configuration Register value to specify where to load the IOS. By default (the default value of Configuration Register is 2102, in hexadecimal), the router first looks for “boot system” commands in startup-config file. If it finds these commands, it will run boot system commands in order they appear in startup-config to locate the IOS. If not, the IOS image is loaded from Flash . If the IOS is not found in Flash, the bootstrap can try to load the IOS from TFTP server or from ROM (mini-IOS).
Last if it doesnt find the software anywere it would end up in rommon mode.

  • Where Did This Router Address Come From? Can A Connected Machine Use This?

My primary G4 uses a dialup modem. I have it logged in now, and in System Preferences -> Network -> Internal Modem, I see an IP number in the Router field. On Internet Connect, it says "Connected to [this IP number] at 48000 bps". Is this the address of my ISP's DHCP server?
Under the Internal Modem in the Network list, I have Built-In Ethernet, set manually to 10.0.1.1 . I have another G4 now connected with a crossover cable, set to 10.0.1.2 . Is it possible for 10.0.1.2 to get to this router IP number through 10.0.1.1? Does Appletalk have to be active? Am I crazy for trying to do this without a router here in the house?

On a dialup connection the chances are you're using PPP, in which case the 'connected to' number is the ISP's PPP server.
As for sharing the connection with the other G4 over the ethernet link, sure. Just select System Preferences -> Sharing -> Internet and you can share the dial up connection with clients on the ethernet network.

  • Where is the email address from Adobe Systems Inc changed?

How can the email address to which Adobe emails are being sent be changed.  The most recent was sent on August 1 titled: "August 2013: Digital imaging news and events" from "Adobe Systems Incorporated".  There is an unsubscribe link but no "change address" link.  The number to call for help was called but they were unable to help.
I have two accounts.  The gmail is old and is receiving emails; it has one license associated with it.  The yahoo has all the other licenses but receivs no emails.  Before having the license transferred the email issue needs to be straightened out.
Both accounts have preferences as follows.
    preferred contact: Email
    receive communications: No
Subscribe to adobe inspire:  gmail no: yahoo: yes
    Any suggestions?
PS.  I did not find a better forum for this issue as it is not product related.

You are much more likely to get quicker help, out in the Forum Comments Forum, rather than in the Lounge, that sees very little traffic nowadays.
I will Move your post to that forum, and your e-mail subscriptions (ah, the irony of that), and your links will follow.

  • Where are the other address books that I had? Now personal, only

The original Personal Address book was unused and I had another Griffith Yahoo address book. I uploaded lots of data to that. It and another historical address book have disappeared with the latest update. I'm totally fouled up with the lost addresses. Help to find the old book. The reason for the old Personal not being used was it didn't track my Emails sent.

Wonderful- all my address books are there. Just clicking on the View-Layout-Directory Pane solved the current problem. Many Thanks. I had imported a lot of my Directory contacts from the XP computer to that address book. It's not great buy at least I had a storage spot. Again - thank you.

  • Where is the server address and port stored that is configured in NI License Manager?

    Hi,
I am trying to configure a silent installation of LabView.  I have tried the specfile and put in the license code etc..  I cannot see a place there to configure a license server address.
I've run NI License Manager on a reference PC and have configured one there but how can I deploy that config to a number of PCs?  How is it stored and where is it stored?
    thanks
    Paul

    Last question (I promise)
If I dont have a volume license how do I determine what my 'package' or 'family' is?
    Package
    Syntax: nilmUtil.exe -activate "packagename version"
    Example: nilmUtil.exe -activate "LabVIEW_PDSM_PKG 8.0500"
    Family
    Syntax: nilmUtil.exe -family "family"
    Example: nilmUtil.exe -family "LabVIEW_ADE_080600"

  • Where is the IP address?

I have looked in Sys Pref-Network-Advanced-TCP/IP.
    There is no IP address.
Here is waht it does say:
Configure IPv4: Using DCHP is chosen
    IPv4 Address: BLANK
    Subnet Mask: BLANK
    Router: BLANK

You can use 'Network Utility' located in Applications\Utilities (or CMD-Space Network Utility) to get your IP address.
The info screen has a drop down for each network interface and it's associated addressing.

I have the HP pro 8100 printer and it has already been set up and worked fine. Now we have changed internet suppliers and have a different router and I cannot work out how to give the printer the new router identity.

  • Finding the IP address of a router

    Hello,
I need to find out the IP address of my router - how can I do this from a terminal?
ifconfig gives my internal and external IP, but it is the router address that I would like. Additionally, it would be useful to know a terminal command that lists the IP addresses of machines connected to my local subnet.
    Thanks in advance,
    Nick

Have you tried the netstat command ?

  • How do I find the MAC address for the time capsule?

I am trying to install 2T time capsule as my main router. Telus my internet supplier allows me to in install the MAC address for the static ip that I am going to use. But where is the MAC address on the cube or how do I get it?

On the bottom label it should list the MAC address.
If you happen to still run the original.. ie decent airport utility it has all that info right in front of you.
But you see that was before Apple reduced the airport utility to the status of a toy..
Pretty pictures no info.. think kid's book.
See very very pretty.. as a UTILITY though.. useless.

  • Setting Up Time Capsule as a DHCP server in the router portion

    Hello
I have converted my existing wireless router and network hard drive to a single time capsule. My old router was setup as a DHCP server and I had the IP range set to 10.0.0.1 to 10.0.0.50 and had a IMac, Windows PC and Copier connected to the EtherNet ports and my home network ran perfectly but only at 100MPS.
I bought the time capsule to eliminate the old router and network hard rive to a single unit to free up space, but I can't figure out how to set up the time capsule router as a DHCP server? Every time I try and change the router address range and tell the software to configure the time capsule, I get errors saying my DNS range is not valid and the IP range is conflicting to the Internet settings?
My old linksys router was so easy to setup, I just selected DHCP, gave it a range and the router took care of the IP address for the Internet. I consider myself a smart guy but apple has made this a little difficult.
I would also like to setup the time capsule so it show up as an external drive in my mobileme account so I can access my files when I am on the road. HELP!!!

In the Internet panel and Internet Connection tab of AirPort Utility, do you have "Configure IPv4" set to "Using DHCP" and "Connection Sharing" set to "Share a public IP address"?

You can set that in the Advanced panel, MobileMe tab.

  • Change router address?

Our SMC router died today at work. I replaced it with a new Airport Extreme. Now all the Windows computers here are looking for a specific router address. Rather then change them all, I would like to just change the router address to match that of the previous. Cant seem to figure out how to change the address. I can see the address, but cant make any changes to it. Is this not an option? Or what am I missing here?

My guess would be that the 64.230.197.40 address is the WAN side IP address that you are receiving from your service provider.
The 192.168.1.1 or 10.0.1.1 is the local area network address. Depending on which range you choose, devices connected to the AirPort Extreme will receive IP addresses as follows 192.168.1.2, 192.168.1.3, etc. Or if you are using 10.0.1.1 as the router address, then it would go 10.0.1.2, 10.0.1.3, etc.
I think your devices should be pointed to either 192.168.1.1 or 10.0.1.1.
If you open AirPort Utility and click on your AirPort Extreme, to the right you will see some information about the device. The IP address of the device on your local network will be displayed there. If you haven't changed the DHCP ranges, the IP address will be 10.0.1.1.
