Where is the security feature (closed lock) when I sign on for internet banking?

I upgraded to firefox4.0.1 and now I can't tell if my internet banking is safe. I don't see the closed "lock" when I'm about to sign on.

The lock symbol has been removed in Firefox 4 and replaced with the [[Site Identity Button]]

The Padlock is no longer part of Firefox; it was removed beginning in Firefox 4. The padlock shows that there is a secure connection but does not supply additional information. You could have made a typographical error and still have been connected to a secure connection. The padlock was replaced in Firefox 3 with the Site Identity Button. Familiarize yourself with the Site Identity Button at the left end of the Location Bar:

Where has the secure connection gold lock gone?

How do I know now whether a page I am visiting is secure? Just by looking at the https header? This doesn't tell me whether there is a problem with the integrity of the connection, like the old golden lock did. I will feel very insecure using Firefox for online shopping and banking from now on. Removing the status bar was extremely stupid. I guess I'll have to give old IE another chance.

I want to share his calendar with me so that all of his events appear on my calendar.

Have the developers considered randomizing the numbers for the passcode? It is easy to watch the pattern when someone enters their passcode. However, if the numbers appeared is a random order each time, it would enhance the security feature even more.

He slightly beat you Meg, and I'm in the same boat with you. If I used a passcode I believe I would go with the feature to use a longer alphanumeric passcode rather than a 4 digit number even with the random code entry.
And of course if Apple did put this feature in they need to make it an option or we'll see lots of posts wanting to know how to get rid of it.

I probably just missed something stupid but I could use some help please.

Every financial institution (bank, credit union,...), every news outlet (print/TV/Radio/blog) reaches out to millions of elderdly folks and other non-geeks and tells them to run away as soon as they dont see a Key or Lock on a secured page (or maybe so-called secured page from what I get you are trying to push through).
This is a major Change Management disaster waiting to happen... Not just for Firefox but for every web site using secure transactions. Countless organisations are going to get calls from users telling them, "Your site is not secured, Oprah and CNN told me so".
Go for color scheme or other visual indicator to warn of security level, but absolutely dont lose the icon !

The old padlock icon was removed, I am not sure but I wondered if it had become too easy to spoof. Now''' use the site identity button''', note it changes colour, and if you click it on a secure site it provides move information and displays the padlock.

You want to allow someone to open your document and fill out the form (in the fields you have created), but not change or edit the form, right? Here's the answer - assuming you are using Acrobat Pro and someone will be opening the PDF using at least Acrobat Reader 9 and up:
Tools > Protection > Encrypt < Encrypt with Password
Answer YES to change the security.
A new window opens:
     Do NOT select Document Open (or that will require a password to open the document.)
     Select: Permissions (Check the box next to "Restrict editing and printing of the document.")
     Change the following 2 settings from the drop-down box:
          Printing Allowed: Select High Resolution
          Changes Allowed: Select Commenting, filling in form fields, and signing signature fields
          Leave selected: "Enable text access for screen reader devices for the visually impaired"
          Change Permissions Password (insert a strong password)
          Leave all other settings alone in "Options"
          OK - OK
          Re-enter the Permissions Password (the one you entered above)
          OK - OK

New to PE 12. Where is the "Browse" feature?

I had to get a new computer to replace my XP unit before MIcrosoft support ended and this meant an upgrade to PE 12. Prior to this upgrade I was using PE 2.0 (What can I say, PE 2.0 was great software and it worked flawlessly for many years).
Problem: Where is the "Browse" feature on PE 12? I don't want to "Import" photos into collections, I just want to manipulate, move, and edit my photos straight from my computer's File Manager like I did on PE 2.0. I use a version of Photoshop CS for work and it offers "Adobe Bridge" that offers this functionality. Is there a function like this on PE 12?

PSE12 comes with Organizer, not a browser. However you don’t need to use Organizer. Simply continue with Bridge and right click on thumbnails and choose:
Open With >> Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor 12.0

For various reasons, the machine I need the NVrotate feature, needs to be running Win98SE.

According to MSI and NVIDIA documentation, NVRotate is supported and should work under Win98SE.
Why use Win98 on my wife's system?
1. I don't want to pay for XP on another system
2. I don't want to pirate XP
3. My wife likes Win98
4. Old educational software that doesn't like XP even when using Compatibility Mode.

If you don't know their answers then if you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then the steps half-way down this page should let you reset them : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.
