Where is the shutdown/restart buttons from the logout dialog

After I followed the almost all postinstall in Howto(s) from Archlinux Wiki, I lost the shutdown/restart buttons from the logout dialog box.
Where are they?
I set in the kcontrol:
KDE Components -> Session Manager -> General (Offer shutdown options) and Default Shutdown Option (Turn off computer)
has no effect.
Could someone give me a hint?
Thanks.

Jerry

Yep, it works.
Remove
export DISPLAY=localhost:0
I did not read it carefully
I put
xhost+ localhost
export DISPLAY=localhost:0
together in my user .bash_profile
I should split this:
xhost+ localhost
in my user .bash_profile
and
export DISPLAY=localhost:0
in my root's .xinitrc
That should do the job.

  • Eliminate a button from screen in dialog excuting SM34 ...

    Hi everybody
I have a transaction wich performs a dialog to display a ViewCluster via calling SM34 sending it the Cluster.
I made the dialog can not make changes by disabling the action button Change<->Display, via an event in wich i disable the change of action mode.
But the user wants the Change<->Display button either does not appears in the screen
Does somebody knows how can i desappear a button from a screen dialog executed with SM34 ??
I do not know if i can achieve this with screen variants (SHD0)
    Please help.
    Regards
    Frank

Yes, you can do it using the Transaction SHD0.
    1. In SHD0 enter SMM34 in the  Transaction Code field & enter say ZSM34 in the Transaction Variant field & hit create. After SM34 screen is diplayed, hit enter. Click the check boxes under 'Invisible' for Display & Maintain icons.
    Exit & save.
    2. In SE93 create a new transaction ZSM34 & select the radiobutton, transaction with variant. Give SM34 under Transaction & ZSM34 under Transaction Variant.

  • Where is the site dialog ?

You folks and going to kick my who knows what but........
When I started experimenting with DW I had a dialog on my
    right that
was showing my website on the Hard Drive and the folders on
    it.
I cant find it now, I got all kind of dialogs CSS, Text, and
    others but
I dont see the one that was showing my web site.
How I get back that dialog?

Thanks folks, I got the idea and saw also the Definition
    Dialog.
I think I know why I dont see any green folder, or anything
    like that.
Dreamweaver must be saving the info about the site on the
    Windows Registry
or on the Application Data folder, both on the C: Driver.
Since the Disk Protection is always on, when you re-boot the
    pc
everything is back to the way it was before. ( No website
    defined )
But can re-define again I believe. Thanks

  • Where is the backup dialog on the import image pane in lr5.6

There used to be the ability to backup your images in lr5.5 during import. I still have it in windows but its gone on my mac?

It's right there in the File Handling panel of the Import dialog box; it says "Make a second copy to...", probably the exact same place it was in LR 5.5.

  • Where's the Logout link gone?

All my application pages used to have a Logout link on the top right hand side. Somehow I've managed to delete this.
Any ideas how to get it back?

    Hello,
Go to Shared Components, Navigation Bar Entries. If 'Logout' is not there anymore, someone deleted it.
    Create a new Entry:
Logout, Target= URL, URL Target = &LOGOUT_URL. (with the . at the end) and you're done.

  • Mac Book pro locks up after pressing restart button at login.

I have a MacBook Pro, and I was just logging into my computer when I decided instead of putting my password into the login screen I clicked the back button, I then proceeded to press the restart button from the login screen to restart my computer, but then the courser disappears and the screen starts to darken slowly, (and not from the monitor's lights dimming), from top to bottom. A gray message pops up with a picture of a mac power button behind it and typed in all different languages it says, "Please hold down the power button for a few seconds to shutdown your computer." or something like that. I am sure it is an official message from apple and I have had this before but I think this is a major bug that apple might have missed or maybe I just haven't heard of the solution yet. BUT IT ONLY HAPPENS WHEN I ATTEMPT TO RESTART FROM THE LOGIN SCREEN. If anyone is having this same problem I would like to hear about it or if you have any suggestions on how to fix this issue that would be great, Thanks.
PS: This error does not seem to affect my friends mac book.

  • Can I download a file in different sessions or should it be in a single session? In other words can I pause the download of a file, shutdown/restart my system and then resume download from where I left off? Or will it start from the very beginning?

Can I download a file in different sessions or should it be in a single session? In other words can I pause the download of a file, shutdown/restart my system and then resume download from where I left off? Or will it start from the very beginning?

If a server supports resuming downloads then the download should continue where it left off.<br />
You can test that by simple starting a large download and wait a minute or so before pausing it.<br />
Then you can close and restart Firefox and see if resuming works.
You can set the pref browser.download.manager.quitBehavior to 2 on the about:config page.<br />
That will make Firefox ask for confirmation if you want to cancel the download if you close Firefox.

  • Where is the photos button in the new version of iTunes?  Need to sync photos from teh computer but photos buton doesn't exit or is hidden.

Where is the photo button in the new version of iTunes?  I need to sync photos from the computer?

On iTunes 11 you can re-enable the sidebar via View > Show Sidebar. To sync photos, connect and select your iPad on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes (if you've enabled the sidebar), and on the right-hand side there should be a series of tabs, one of which should be Photos - if you select that tab you can then select which photo folders to sync to the iPad. There is a bit more info on this page. You will need to sync all the photos that you want on the iPad together in one go as only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad - synced photos can't be deleted directly on the iPad, instead they are deleted by not including them in the next photo sync.
If you haven't enabled the sidebar, then from you library click 'iPad' at the top right of the screen and you should get a series of buttons along the top of the screen, including one for Photos

  • API to lock/shutdown/restart the Phone from wp8.1 App

    Hi
is there any apis available to lock/shutdown/restart the Phone from wp 8.1 App

Microsoft may allow you to access the API if you are a device manufacturer or carrier. Also possibly if you are building a company app for private distribution. In general, 3rd party apps in the Windows Store are not allowed to access API that affect the
    device as a whole.
iOS and Android also don't allow programmatic restart or shutdown (unless the device is jailbroken/unlocked). They are dangerous API that will be exploited if generally allowed.

  • Where did the "Stop" button go on the Navigation Bar in ff4? It isn't included in the Customize box. Is there anyway to install the "Stop" button for loading web pages or is this option compeletly gone from Firefox now?

Just installed upgrade to Firefox 4.0. Where did the "Stop" button go on the Navigation Bar. I checked the Customize dialogue box and it isn't included. Is anyone else missing it? Is there anyway to install the "Stop" button for loading web pages or is this option completely gone from Firefox now? It was a very helpful button and allowed us users to stop a web page and move on if it wasn't what we needed.

In Firefox 4 by default the Stop, Go and Reload buttons are combined and attached to the right hand edge of the location bar.
When you are typing in the location bar it will show the Go button. When a site is loading it shows the Stop button. At other times it shows the Reload button.
If you want separate buttons, right-click on a toolbar and choose Customize, you can then drag and drop the stop or reload buttons and place them elsewhere. If you place them in the order "Reload-Stop" on the right hand edge of the location bar they will be combined again. For more details on customizing the toolbar see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/How+to+customize+the+toolbar

  • Whilst playing a selection from a CD I've put in my CD drive, I select Controls and then wish to increase the volume.  It tells me to Press Control and then Up.  Where is the Up button please ?  Thank you.

My question is how do I increase the volume when playing a CD in iTunes.  The volume slide is at full, but when I press Controls, it tells me to press Control and UP.  Where is the UP on my PC or is it on the screen ??
    Thank you.

It means the UP arrow on your keyboard. Depending on your keyboard, it is usually located on the right hand side of the keyboard, either with the numbers keys or below the Enter (Return) key.
However, Control/Up will simply attempt to move the slider in your iTunes programme further up. If the slider is already at the top, then those keys will have no effect, since the iTunes volume is already at maximum. Perhaps your computer's volume controls need adjusting.
In Windows XP, I believe (if I recall correctly) that the volume control is in Start/Accessories/ and either Volume or Mixer. In Windows 7, it's in Start/Control Panel/Hardware and Sound/Adjust Sytem Volume.
