Where is the sound effects library?

I have Final Cut Studio 2. Where is the sound effects sound library located? I accidentally found the royalty free music stored in a obscure place?

Hey there, where is the royalty free music? I found the sound effects library, but can only find loops. Is that all there is?

Why is the sound effects library missing from the audio menu is FCPX 10.1

Up until version 10.1 Final Cut Pro had a sound effect library under the music tab.
Its now completely missing and only shows itunes.
Has anyone else noticed this problem and know how to put it back to the way it used to be.

follow BenB's solution as follows:
Minor upgrade glitch, don't move any folders.
Quit FCP X.
If you have GarageBand, launch it.
Quit GarageBand.
Reboot your Mac.
Open FCP X, you should be fine.
Repeat once or twice if needed.

Where have the voice effects gone on my Audigy sound ca

Hi
I have a Sound Blaster Audigy with the latest drivers.
In the EAX Console i find the sound effects, but only the environmental ones, not the voice effects (Chipmunk, Alien, Zeus etc..).
I have another 2 Creative cards which i bought earlier which had those effects: Li've 4. and an Audigy 2 ZS.
The Audigy 2 ZS i have on another computer has the exact same Surrond Mixer, EAX Console and the other sound card settings, but in that one i can find the voice effects under the EAX Console.
Does this mean my sound card doesn't support these? It doesn't make any sense.
Or do i need to use another driver?
Also the environmental effects list is a lot shorter than in the other 2 cards.

Hi Thanks for the reply - the rendering option is greyed out...I've just updated graphics drivers and this has made no difference. I've read that the Mercury engine won't support some GPUs and they have to be enabled manually, but have no idea if this is what is happening here...all I do know is that 2 weeks ago I was using the feather effect and now I'm not able to and all the accelerated affects are now greyed out.
I'm using windows 7, 64 bit - same result on premiere pro CC and CS6...

Sound Effect Library

Kind of off topic, but if anyone could reccomend an extensive sound effects library it'd really be appreciated. Right now I'm looking for automobile sounds, but realize I'd like to have a full effects library handy. Who's got the best stuff?

I use various libraries from Sound Ideas (http://www.sound-ideas.com/). Their Series 5000-Wheels collection contains 24 CD's of various cars & trucks. There stuff is very well recorded and easy to search. Other collections, like the Series 6000 are quite varied, definitely worth a look.

Help! iMovie 10.0.2 does not show my entire sound effects library

I've been building an extensive iLife sound effects library to use for my videos and when I open the library in a wondow it shows all of my audio files. When I try to import sound files in iMovie 10.0.2 however, it only shows the standard audio files from apple, it does not show my own imported files. How do I get to my files in the new iMovie? I'm getting very frustrated, I need to get this project done quickly and I keep running into problems like this with this new updated version This is taking up too much of my time! Please help!

No, I did not.
Meanwhile I have found the reason for the projects disappear in my libraries! The problem is caused by using the dash "#" symbol in my project names.
I have created another project with a dash in the name and the project also disappeared in iMovie with the same effect that the underlying data was still in die library.
Apple should release a warning that some special characters are not allowed to be used in project names or better should solve this.

System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.

I downloaded and installed oc4j_extended.zip. The documentation states that there should be a subfolder called j2ee/home/tld, but I don't see it! Where's the OC4J Tag Library to support JSP tags ?

Try giving your iPad a reset. Hold down the sleep and home keys, past when you see the red power down slider and until you see the silver apple. Let it reboot and see if that fixes it.

Hello all,
I've inserted a sound effect (typewriting) in my slideshow and I'd like to lengthen the duration to match the duration of the title (it's letters typing across the screen).
When I move the cursor to the end of the typewriting sound effect and try to drag it to lengthen it... it doesn't move.
Are the sound effect clips fixed? Can I not lengthen them to match the duration of the visual clip (title)?

Depending on the type of music, it is often possible to patch in a small segment of a copy of the song - use copy and paste method. The 'patch' can be trimmed accurately to fit the beat. More difficult perhaps with singing than with instrumental tracks.

If the sound icon is stuck on the screen, then the pad thinks you are pressing the volume rocker on the side of the pad. Do you have a case or something that might be touching that rocker?
Some have reported that they have put a small dent in the pad body that presses the switch. If so, you need to somehow indent it.
Try a reboot. Press and hold both the home and sleep button until the apple logo appears. Ignore the red slider.
