Where is the standalone installer in the support web site?

I get "This disk cannot be used to start up your computer" when I use installer downloaded from the App store. This is on the volume I have started 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) from. May work better from USB or CD/DVD.

There isn’t a “standalone” installer. The App Store one is the only one.
Open Disk Utility, select your Hard drive device (not the Macintosh HD Volume on the device).
At the Bottom of the window look for Partition Map Scheme:
If it says APM or Apple Partition Map, you need to re-partition your drive using GUID Partition Map (GPT). Yes, that will erase the drive.
If that is the case, we can walk you through the settings to alter the partition map.

    Supporting details are stored in Planning Applications RDBMS. check out HSP_COLUMN_DETAIL and HSP_COLUMN_DETAIL_ITEM in the application relational database

  • P6N support, where is the support page for this motherboard?

    i have recently purchased an pn6 motherboard, but can't find any updates or support on msi website, i am worried becasue nvidia have had issues with sata and stuff, other manufactures have released new fixes. So what is msi doing? Where is the support?

    I'm ordering the 650i for myself... 680i just too bad, dun have internal PATA, which I worry that the JMicron thing will come back and haunt the user...
    the next thing to worry is Nvidia chipset is known to be power hunger....

  • Need Camera Raw 7.3, where might it be found?  The Adobe web site is as obscure as mud.

    I have Photoshop Elements 11 and would like it to read my Nikon D600 raw files directly, not through the DNG converter thing.  Adobe web site says I need the Camera Raw 7.3 plug-in and it even provides links on different pages indicating where to find this plug-in download; but, it is NOT there.  Adobe has made things clear as mud.  Statements on the Adobe web site indicate the Camera Raw 7.2 plug-in may also work to read my D600 raw files.  And NO I don't want to spend even more money on an "upgrade" to the latest version (Elements 13 perhaps) when the software I have now should do the job.
    Any help on this would be appreciated.

    Ok, I just did the down load for the Camera Raw 8.3 version as you suggested.  The files were unzipped and I ran the installer and got and error:
    Update Failed
    Updates could not be applied
    This patch is not applicable for you.  Please check updates from the Help menu in your product to see a list of updates available.  If the problem persist, contact customer support for further assistance.
    This same error has occurred a few times in all my frustration the last few days.  I don't see a need for continuing to try things because the program is now working due the the update function working.  However, this entire debacle leaves me with a sour feeling for Adobe, why all the hassle?  The Adobe "help" system and web site really leaves much to be desired and I now worry that if Elements 11 needs to be re-installed again some day will Adobe be there to support it?  It takes more than what is on the disk I have to make it work; and, there does not appear to be a simple down-load file I can save with my disk to make it work either.

    When I go to that link, download and then attempt to install I get the message "Webe encountered the following issues, Installer failed to initialize.  Please down load Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem"  I then select the link "get adobe support advisor" that takes me to a site that describes a better support link since the one I have been sent to is no longer available.  I then go to that site and am told to go to CC for desktop apps, that requires me to download CC...  I don't want CC.. just want to have my CS6 PS work again....  so frustrating...

    Use it the same way as previously.
    ctrl B shows the menus.
    ctrl S shows the sidebar.

  • Can I update my Lightroom 4.4 installation to Lightroom 5?  If so, how.  I don't see an update option on the Adobe web site.

    I have Lightroom 4.4 installed on my iMac 27.  I've looked on the Adobe web site to see if I can just upgrade my installation, but don't see an option for this short of "buying" Lightroom 5.

    Ned, I need to modify my reply to your answer.  I do actually see an upgrade method on the web site, but it seems to require a monthly fee.  My situation (cruising in my boat to Mexico and then to the South Pacific) does not lend itself to such an approach since it is unlikely that I'll have ready access to "The Cloud".  I prefer a one-time upgrade to the software installed on my computere if that's available.

    Then there is something seriously wrong with either your
    browser
    Windows
    Internet connection
    I have just downloaded that installer (on Windows 7, using Pale Moon), and the download completed within less than 10 seconds.  And I am some 10,000km away from the Adobe download servers.
    Can you try a different browser?
    Can you download anything to your computer, e.g. from Microsoft?

    I purchased an upgrade from the Adobe web site to take my Photoshop Elements form 9 to 11. I could not find any instructions, so I decided to download the alternate method consisting of two parts. I got part one downloaded. Then I tried to download part two. The download no longer did anything. I noticed on the bottom of the screen where the part one progress bar had been, there was now a note that said there were local updates to be done. I said OK and the updates ran as four parts. When they were done, I again tried to download part two. Nothing. I then decided to try the Akamai (sp?) Download manager program. It would not download either. Should I wipe out part one and start over? Or, is there another solution?  I am using Windows 7. Thank you.

  • Why does my keychain keep asking for my password every time I access the same web site?

    The ClamXav scan found 4 virus/trojan problems and quarantined them. Before I did thid, my keychain keeps popping up asking me if I want to save my password everytime I visit the same web site(s). Is there an issue with this? And how to I fix it?

    What were the infection names associated with those four files and where we're they found. That information is in your Scan Log if you didn't record them yourself. Search for the word "FOUND" in upper case.
    The keychain activity sounds normal as long as your browser preferences are set to save that information for AutoFill the next time you visit the site.
