I have been using firefox for years. I installed the latest version of Firefox. It worked fine for several days. Now I get the above message each time I try to start Firefox, even in safe mode. i have checked with latest antivirus softwere also.. i didn't find any thing suspicious.

The update for Pages says it is installing however it has been like this for days. Cannot open the app. What can I do?
Double tap the Home button to bring up the multi-tasking bar...tap & hold any app until they all start to wiggle...tap the red minus sign to remove every app shown. Tap the Home button when finished. Try to delete the app now.

First time user. Need help. I downloaded latest version of Pages 5.0 and have been using it. Now, when I try to open documents created by it, I'm advised that I have to downoad Pages 5.0. What's going on?
You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5.2.2 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5.2 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
Older versions of Pages 5 can not open files from later versions of Pages 5.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
Anything that is saved to iCloud and opened in a newer version of Pages is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Apple has removed over 110 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:

You can add the icon of the missing Pages on your Dock or open Pages from the Apple menu > Recent Items list.
Or you can archive Pages 5 so that it doesn't automatically open.

When I open an email with an attachment, it downloads the attachment and saves it to my downloads. At a later time, I return to the download list and try to open it and it will not allow me to open them. How do I open my saved downloads?
If the Open or Open Containing Folder entry in the right-click context menu of a file in the Download Manager is grayed then that means that the file is no longer in that original download location. It may have been removed by cleanup software or anti-virus software if you haven't deleted the files yourself.

My ipad 2 keeps shutting down and opening. I followed all the advice and got to the point of restore my ipad 2 the files starts to download all 750mb. When the file has completely downloaded I then receive the message file corrupted try again later. I have been trying for 2 days now. HELP

before storming into the Apple store i'm trying a couple of manual firmware restores..
I should have an answer shortly but the idea is this:
goto http://osxdaily.com/2010/11/02/download-ipad-firmware-ipsw/
and download the firmware for your ipad model. if (like the rest of us) you do not know which ipad 2 you have, then download the first IOS 6.1 ipad2 file following these steps and if you receive a message saying "not for this model, or not compatible" then try the next file.
small warning, this is a total factory restore so the downloads are around 700mb each.
1. open itunes, ipad disconnected.
2. connect ipad
3. warning restore message appears
4. (windows users) HOLD SHIFT and click the restore button. This should open a dialogue box allowing you to navigate to the file you downloaded. Select the file and hit ok.
5. this should start the manual restore, if it fails, download the next file and repeat.

i've restarted everytihng SO many times, have taken out all other usb connections, apart from the ipad. my itunes on the mac pro is 10.6.3 and there are no latest updates for my mac pro. Got so close with upgrading the ipad software but then got a message saying "couldn't locate the device" so tried the recommended routes but cant even get the update to start now. many thanks, k x

Hi - Can some help I am going crazy!!.!
I drew a shape with the pen tool (which took me ages..) , I traced it from a picture I imported, and i am unable to reselect it. I can see it in red but I am just not able to reselect it. I have the layer selected, but there is no sign of it in my paths panel at all. I tried clicking the direct selection tool (about 100 times), I tried the brush tool. I tried everything. You are probably using an old version of iTunes with which the stream link service seems to have stopped working for many users of older iTunes. No, Apple makes no comment about this kind of thing. It may reappear, it may not (it has been dead for over a week now). Your solution is to upgrade the operating system version on your computer from 10.5.8 to 10.6.8 so you can run a newer iTunes, or live without. You can still open streams if you can get the URL, and you can then save them as playlist items.

The best thing to do is to go into Help > System Info, copy and paste the contents into your reply.

Edge has very clear restrictions, one being that you must have 6 months of clean payment history which you don't. Either wait until April 14, or good luck at Sprint.
I am unsure how it can be determined the payment mix up was the fault of CS, but regardless, the mix up was done. There can be any number of reasons why a payment could be missed without any fault on your part, however you are still the responsible party for the account and must live with the repercussions. -
Mail wanted to start setup - although have been using it for 2 years!
Hi, appreciate your help as no so technical myself......but started my mac this morning and clicked to start mail and it wants to run through the set up again etc - like I just bought the computer.
Have been using mail for 2 years no problem........and my mail box contains so much stuff!

I have been using Thunderbird for ages and just love the way it works. However, is there any possibility that the ability to alter font size from '10' to '12' instead of 'bigger or smaller' be available??
It would be awesome to be able to do that.

New ZealandNumerical font size change is not a choice using Thunderbird. You can open a new "write mail" an increase font size by choosing the first and second "A" in the body line directly below the subject line. You have to be in the body of the letter to make this available. Also, in tools, options, composition, general, HTML you can set both color and font size with choices from xx small to xx large (by default), and then increase the default font size as stated above. As always, remember to click apply or OK when making these changes.
