Where is the user guide?

Anybody has any idea where the Lion user guide is? Is it even part of the Lion download?

The built in Mac Help App "Welcome to OSX Lion" has all the Infos you are looking for.
In Finders Menubar go to "Help", then choose "Help Center".
The content is organized into subsections like "using Internet and chat", "customizing your Mac" and so on, on the bottom is a link to "Apps Help" which will launch the contents for your installed programs ( like imovie, iphoto and so forth ).

  • Maverick update release of iMovie 10.  Where is the user Guide?

Used imovie to produced many good videos right before Maverick update.  iMovie 10 need lots of learning.  Any one has idea of good user guide other than taking some on-line classes?
How to work every thing with the external hard drive?  I did that before, but I can't do it with iMovie10.
All the library from iMovie 10 looks like whole bunch of garbage, why?
Can I remove all the old files related to iMovie and start from scrtch?  Like a brand new user to iMove.
How to create an event?  Even have problem capture video from Canon Vixia G10.  I didn't have the problem with the previous version of iMovie.

  • Where is the user guide for Mavericks on apple Web Site?

    Hi,
I'm looking for the user's guide preferably in French and as a «PDF» version. I can see ti for Leopard and Snow Leopard but not for Mavericks. Where should I look for it, I made many search and I couldn't find it?ng,
    Thank you for answering,
    Robert Marchand

Thanks to all for answering to my post.
I don't run Mac OS 10.9 on my Mac presently, I have a less recent version. If I had it, it wouldn't be a problem for me, after all theses years...
I need a step by step guide so I can hand it to my students afterwards. Maverick's help do not work right now on our new iMac and the technician won't be able to fix that issue in the coming days: we start school next week... So a formal basic and step by step and user guide s would have been practicle for them. I know that there are many support file they can use directly on Apple Support Web pages but and all in one place document would have been better.
I guess I'll have to use other source including various Apple support Web pages.
    Thank you for answering,

  • Where is the User Guide for the MacBook Pro 13-Inch 2012?

    Hi there,
Trawling the Apple Support Manual pages (http://support.apple.com/manuals), I couldn't seem to find the correct User Guide.. even searching with my Serial Number.
I am looking for the MacBook Pro 13-inch (2012 10.8.2 Mountain Lion) User's Guide.
Searching with my Serial Number, the results are:
MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012) - Quick Start Guide
MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012) - Important Product Information Guide
Searchng manually, all i can find are:
MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2010) - User Guide
MacBook (13-inch) - User Guide... which is the OS X v10.4 Tiger version
Is there not a "MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012) - User Guide" ????
    Thanks,
    Chris

I have already worked out that there's no full User's Guide.
Why would a new mac User, like myself, want a Quick Start Guide (which came in the box), and then not want access to an actual full User Guide.
I have been using the other PDF's for general guidance, but I shouldn't have to make do with other guides.
Apple.... Is it too much to ask that my £1250 purchase comes with the proper documentation ?!

  • Smart Connect - where is the user guide?

The Sony Smart Connect app is not intuitive, at least not for me and I don't have spare hours to learn it through trial and error.  Is there a detailed user's guide anywhere?  What are the exact definitions of "Condition" and "Action"?  I have my xperia tablet z linked to a Sony speaker SRS-BTX500 and am totally baffled by the Smart Connect screen that shows "Speaker" on the left, then "SRS-BTX500" on the right along with an admonition to "Add condition".  I just want the speaker to turn on when I play Music Unlimited and to turn off when I stop Music Unlimited.  Or do I have this backwards?

What Smart Connect does is to automatically perform certain actions (start an app, change settings) that you select under certain conditions (when you connect a certain accessory, at a certain time) that you select.
If you for example set the conditions "Charger" and "Time 22.00-07.00" and the action "Sound mode: silent" this means that if a charger is connected and time is between 22.00 and 07.00 the tablet will be in silent mode.
The tablet can unfortunately not turn on/off the power in your speaker for you. If the speaker is on and paired with your tablet it will automatically be used when you play music regardless of Smart Connect. What you could do using Smart Connect is to set the speaker as a condition and Music Unlimited as an Action. What will happen then is that when you power on the speaker and it gets connected Smart Connect will start the app Music Unlimited for you.

  • MY E-mail Setup is different from the User Guide & I do not have a browser option or Icon.

    As per the user guide:

    To begin:
If there’s an Email Setup option on your smartphone’s home screen, click it.
OR in the setup wizard (which starts automatically the first time you turn on your smartphone), on the email setup screen, select I want to create or add an email address.
Click Next, then if necessary, click Update Now.
If necessary, click Create New Account.
To accept the terms of the license agreement, select Yes and click I Agree.
Set up your email addressIf you want to link an existing, supported email address with your smartphone - you will need to
Click Add An Email Account if necessary, or simply type in your existing email address and password.
    Click Next.
If you want to create a new email address for your BlackBerry smartphone (i.e. [email protected]), you will need to
Click Create a BlackBerry email address OR Click I would like to create a new BlackBerry email address.
Type the user name that you want to appear before the @ sign in your new BlackBerry email address.
If necessary, type a password for this email address.
If necessary, select or choose secret question.
If necessary, provide an answer for the secret question you have selected. Click Next
select I want to create or add an email address ( I Dont see this option).
Only option i have is :
    1. I want to use a work email account with a BlackBerry Emterprise server.
    2. I want to skip email setup.
So here i am unable to configure my email account (disadvantage).
Second option i can open my emails thru the brower option, where as here i nither see the browser icon on the phone. (disadvantage).
Please advice as what to do? How do i go about with this?
Its something like having a dead BB.
    Please help.

    therech wrote:
So what you are saying is that you "have" to sign up for a BB email address?  to get incoming mail from a POP3 like Yahoo?
No that is not how it works.
for your device you need :
a mobile phone subscription (for phone calls & SMS)
    a data plan (for MMS)
a BlackBerry Dataplan with BIS account (for all BlackBerry technologies including receiving emails from any email provider)
in item 3, you can if you like ask for a BlackBerry email (= RIM acting as a regular email provider) but I do not recommend it since the features are less than a normal email provider (you can't view those emails except on your device).

Solving MSVCR80 issue and Windows iTunes install issues.
If the above doesn’t do the trick entirely, then use the instructions in the following as it applies to the version of Windows you are using:
HT1925: Removing and Reinstalling iTunes for Windows XP
HT1923: Removing and reinstalling iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
You may be required to boot into safe mode to complete the folder deletion process.

  • Where is the User Group stored

    Hi all
I have a question about the User Groups.
I want to know where are the User Groups and their information stored in Business Objects.
Is there a system table from where I can access/pull this information.
    Thanks.

    Hello,
You can use the Query Builder (on the BusinessObjects Administration Launchpad under Administrative Tools) to query the CMS database.
The following query would return some details of all user groups in your system:
    SELECT
    SI_NAME, SI_DESCRIPTION, SI_ID, SI_ALIASES, SI_GROUP_MEMBERS
    FROM
    CI_SYSTEMOBJECTS
    WHERE
    SI_KIND = 'usergroup'
You can find documentation on querying the CMS in the Developer Library:
    http://devlibrary.businessobjects.com/BusinessObjectsXIR2/en/devsuite.htm#en/BOE_SDK/boesdk_java_dg_doc/doc/boesdk_java_dg/SDKFundamentals34.html#1033059
[Dev Library Home|http://devlibrary.businessobjects.com/BusinessObjectsXIR2/en/devsuite.htm] > Enterprise SDK > Java Developer Guide > SDK Fundamentals > How do I use the query language to retrieve classes from the CMS repository?

  • Where is the user manual for Adobe Digital Editions?

Where is the user manual for Adobe Digital Editions?

Thanks to you both for your replies.
I should have explained that I have already seen 'Getting Started with Adobe Digital Editions', an epub document that comes with the software.  It is only nine pages long, more of a quick guide than a manual. I had expected that there would be more to the software than is covered there.  Perhaps there isn't.  (To explain a little further: I was looking for a way to cause epub pages to print or display like the pages of the original book, but couldn't find anything about printing beyond.  That feature is present in the Bluefire Reader for iOS devices.  I tried printing a particular page using Ctrl+P and specifying the page number.  The page printed, but it was spread over two sheets of A4 paper and the page number was not printed.)
