Where is the Xcode editor?

Softwater and Kappy,
A lady at Apple showed me that I could never download the developer software until I upgraded my Mac operating system to 10.6.8 or 10.7.3.  I chose 10.7.3, which is called 'Lion', paid the $30, and was ready to go!
Almost.  Hey guys, when the IDE opens (XCode) there is a message in the middle that says 'no editor'.  How do I bring the proper editor into the IDE?
Do I also have to do something heroic to bring in a Graphical User Interface (GUI)?
RPB

You need to select a file to edit.  If the navigator isn't showing, you can reveal it by using the View > Navigators > Show Navigator menu item.  There is also a user guide in the help menu - Xcode has a lot of stuff crammed in there.
Don't forget to update your profile, a lot has changed since Leopard - also take a look at the Developer Forums.

  • Where is the Script editor panel in Photoshop CS6?

I don't find the Script Editor panel in Photoshop CS6.

Are you talking about the program for writing scripts for photoshop, which is Extendscript Toolkit (ESTK)?  It should be located where you normally find programs with your operating system.  You can do a search for extendscript to find the program.

  • Where is the Xcode 4.0.1 update ? Download not found !!

    Hi,
I have finished the Xcode update to 4.0.1. Download of 4,5GB has finished successfully through App Store but I cannot find any file anywhere. App Store does not show any update pending to install and does not offer the option to download it again.
Does anybody knows where update files are stored ?
    Regards,
    Joan

    Found it !!
After downloading the initial 'install Xcode.app' (v4.0) and Xcode installation I moved the installer file to my software repository ( in same disk ). App Store has replaced this file because now it shows v4.0.1 !!
This behaviour is very unclever !!! Apple, at least ask before to replace

  • Where's the photo editor in ps 11?

I purchased photoshop elements 11 and premiere elements in July 2013.  I have two computers, the first computer has organizer, photo editor and video editor.  I download the program to the second computer and only have organizeer and video editor.  I chatted with the chat line and they said to re-download the program.  I have tried, over the top of the first download, drug the download to the trash (I have a mac) and lastely I have un-installed the software after saving all of my photos to documents, just in case my files were also deleted and re downloaded the software.  I do not have a photo editor, but I now have a choice of downloading a "free" trial of ps 12 or to purchase ps 12.  Thanks for any assistance

Do you mean that you tried to copy the installed versions over to the other computer? You can't ever do that with PSE--it is not a tidy package in accordance with the apple developer guidelines, but strews stuff all over your hard drive. You should have gotten two installer files, one for Premiere Elements, the video editor, and one for Photoshop Elements, the photo editor.

  • Where is the Xcode application?

Greetings, i can´t find the xcode in m new Macbook Pro, help me.

You need to install the developer tools from your OS X disks (or download the latest version from Apple) manually -- by default they're not installed as they take up a fair amount of space and most people won't ever have need of them.

  • Where is the Property Editor - Portal_server ?

    Hello:
    I'm following this <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/c4/fd584289e59041e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm">documentation</a> and I can't find the Property Editor - Portal_server.
    Thanks.

    Thanks for answer Ramakrishna Prasad.
Yes, of course. My mistake on putting the general link of the documentation.
Under the title <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/2c/00584289e59041e10000000a1550b0/content.htm">"Create a Web Dynpro Iview"</a> says:
"5.      In Step 4 of the Web Dynpro iView Wizard you have to specify the Web Dynpro-specific parameters.
               a.   System"
(and is show the "Property Editor - Portal_server " screen).
    Thanks a lot.

  • Where is the gradient editor in Flash CS4?

    Hi,
I'm on an intel iMac, and trying to make the switch from Flash CS3 to CS4. I have done several searches for this topic and to no help thus far.
I'm familiar with the gradient editor in CS3 but I can't seem to find it in CS4. I have found the Color Editor which has a few basic, preset radial gradients along the bottom but that's all.
I've searched the tool pallete as well. I appreciate any help and apologize if this is a dumb question. It's early and I'm tired.
    Many Thanks, Frank B.

    Window> Color
Change the type to a gradient and then you can edit.  It's pretty much the same as CS3, so perhaps I'm missing something in the question..

  • Where is the Script Editor?

I have looked everywhere for the script editor and i can not find it anywhere. I am sure it is in an obvious spot and i just am missing it. Is there a step I am missing or is it named something else? Please someone help me out.

    Hi,
I think that you may need a different Adobe forum. This forum relates to LiveCycle Designer, which is a form development program. It's not strictly part of the CS4 suite of programs (albeit that it does come bundled with Acrobat Professional).
If you do have LiveCycle Designer open, then you can access the Script Editor from the Windows menu.
    Good luck,
    Niall

  • Where is the Lion version of Property List Editor?

I've downloaded XCode 4.1 and the Server Admin app in a vain attempt to find the property list editor. Does anyone know where it is?

This worked perfectly, thanks.  I just had to adjust the permissions on the PListEdit.framework folder to match the other framework folders.  I wouldn't have found it in the PrivateFrameworks folder without your help.  Much appreciated.
    In response to:
Well I figure that the plist editor is now integrated in XCode 4, but you could do the following: Get the
PlistEdit.framework (located in /Developer/Library/PrivateFrameworks/) and the "Property List Editor.app" from an earlier XCode-Installation and throw them into the corresponding folders of your XCode 4-Installation.

  • XCode 3.1.1 - Where are the error bubbles?

    Hello!
I just installed XCode 3.1.1, and I was wondering where the red 'x' breakpoints with some bubbles telling you compile error went. At the moment, I can have error messages at the top of the page, but not in the code editor part itself. I looked in the general preferences, and I can't find anything.
    Thanks for the help!
    Matt

    Thanks!
I realized that my problem goes well beyond that though; it works fine for a Cocoa Project, but not for my actual project, which was made from an empty project. It's a different kind of issue!

  • Where is the editor window in elements 12?

When I open up Elements 12 on my computer or laptop, the options bar that shows quick, guided and expert is not there.  Where the hell is it?

Quick, guided and expert are three editors aimed at different abilities.  If you are relatively new to photo editing click quick or guided, if you are more experienced click expert.
To load an image directly into the any of the three editors options select File, then Open and then the image you wish to edit.
