Where is this app hiding?

Hi all
I installed Lion shortly after it came out and it is working fine. However some time ago a small window started popping up every now and then saying:
"You can't open the application unzip because Power PC applications are no longer supported"
I understand what it is saying. The problem is that I don't have the application mentioned, or at least I cannot find it. I have checked in Finder, tried with Spotlight, but it seems to be well hidden. I also checked all applications unser System software.
It is not a big deal, just a minor nuisance and mainly rather puzzling.
Any helpful ideas?

I have this problem too.
With an iMac running Lion. It started quite recently... the window with the error message pops up randomly (as far as I can see) and not in connection to any specific action.
So I suppose it must be something running automatically in the background.
The only startup application I had (and did not know) was an iTunes thing. I have taken it down now. Will see whether the message appears again.

Somehow I made a typo and got 192.167.1.100 instead of
192.168.1.100. Now everytime I create a new project it writes this

I think Appletalk's status is also stored in...
/Users/nnnn/Library/Preferences/com.apple.internetconnect.plist
/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/preferences.plist
/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.airport.preferences.plist
Caches may hold some info too.

Where are installed apps kept on iphone 4?

I recently installed a TD Bank app that allows me to do online banking. I can never seem to be able to find it without a great deal of searching. How and where should this app show up on my phone?

I had the same experience as you did, but in my case it was a big fat pdf that Mail insisted I had to download before I could view it. As happened with you, I saw the file actually downloading, and after a time I was able to view the pdf. It's been my assumption that the pdf is still somewhere on my iPad, but I have no idea where, nor how to delete it if it is still there.

TS1702 My IOS is 4.2.2 and my ipod doesnt accept later versions. Before updating the software, I used to have viber and now I can reinstall it, because it needs IOS 4.3 or later. Is there any place where I can get the older versions of this app?

You've posted in the Numbers community, where the topic of conversation is Numbers '09 (and Numbers '08), written to be used under Mac OS X.
Neither of these versions of Numbers require a password to launch, but documents produced by then can be assigned a password, and the password is then required to open the document, using Numbers for Mac OS.
But I suspect you're asking about numbers for iOS, where the answer may be different. Best place to ask that question in in the iWork for iOS community. Click the link to go there directly.

Something really odd is going on. In your first screen shot, I noticed that the Applications folder does not have the proper icon displayed in the side bar. Also, in the title bar it lists it as Applications 08-59-29-909.
Not sure where it's picking up that odd name, unless it's because it's still truly within the Trash folder.
Try this. In the Finder > Preferences > General > turn on "Always open folders in a new window". (I have a feeling you have the default setting with this off).
Now, in Finder > Go > move down and open the Applications Folder from there. Now open the folder where you see all your applications that you show in your screen shot, select all, and move them to this true appliactions folder.
This is what you should properly seeing (but with different apps listed):
See how the Applications folder has the icon of the letter A shaped with a pencil, ruler & pen.

Assuming you've done a system wide search for it including the Applications folder and it's not there......
I think you will need to address this with them - did you pay them for the application? Or was your purchase price to include it? And the question(s) to ask them:
If the app store states that it has been downloaded, ask them where it is and which Apple ID they used. (the store keeps track of Apple IDs and machine IDs on everything you download).
I have absolutely no faith in their advice; however, in this case, it's not so much technical advice, but an answer to your questions: you paid for something and it appears not to be there.

Has anyone else had Itunes bill your bank account for $99.99 for an app/gam that (a) you didn't authorize and (b)it states "FREE" when you finally find this app? Now they are bs'ing around and will not give me my money/I want to speak w/management!!!

"This app cannot be downloaded at this time" problems

I Have a iPhone 4S version 7.0.3 and for the past week I've been unable to download or update any of my apps. I've been searching these forums and nothing I've seen has worked. I've turned it on and off I've reset all my settings I've signed in an out of the App Store and iTunes. The only option I haven't tried is the whole restore thing. But my laptop won't support any form of iTunes so I cant back up my phone so I can reset it. I've tried to back up my phone to iCloud and no matter where I go and how long I stay there plugged in and connected to wifi it won't back up. this app download problem is recent and I can't figure out how to fix it. Please help

I have this same exact issue. We have even put all apple servers as not even being filtered by proxy and it still wont download anything. Nor will it let us even log in or create a new acct in the app store. It seems its also not just app store related....as it won't even let you check for IOS updates when a proxy is entered.
If anyone has any ideas let us know!

... AFAIC Location Services is a joke.
With both devices sitting side by side on my kitchen table, Location Services has NEVER shown the devices to be any where close to each other, and at times Location Services has been as much as a 1/4 of a mile off between the two devices.
Your iPod Touch has no GPS receiver so determining its location relies upon wireless routers whose location is known. Its "location" is actually that of a wireless router. Your iPhone 4 can use GPS, cellular triangulation, and Wi-Fi. One would think GPS would be most accurate but urban areas have a greater density of cells and GPS signals are easily obstructed so cellular triangulation is often more accurate.
Therefore the two devices' locations can be expected to be different. Differences of a quarter mile are easily explained if you understand how location services works: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1975

At the time, Apple was still offering the e-chat, so I did that and the man was very helpful and it was a quick fix, so my download button turned green again, and I was able to begin the download. BUT during the download, I was kicked offline once again, and I decided to wait until I was back in the USA. I will go in to an Apple store and ask assistance, but if there is something I am missing, I'd like to try that first. Thanks in advance for any advice.

I have accidentally deleted the proloquotogo app with all it's data. It was on my iCloud backup list so can I know restore all the settings for this app from a previous iCloud backup? I now only have the basic pages instead of all the programmed pages.

Where is the "apps" menu item in the new iTunes interface?

Where is the “apps” menu item in the new iTunes interface? I can no longer transfer files from my PC to my iPhone.
I just downloaded and installed the updated iTunes for my iPhone. I cannot find the “apps” menu item anywhere. How can I continue to download various types of files FROM my PC (Windows 7) TO my iPhone? I previously did this by clicking on the “apps” menu item and going from there. I cannot find the “apps” anywhere on the new iTunes. Thanks.

Tonefox, no it's not under "Music" but I did some more digging and found where Apple has "hidden" Apps on their latest iTunes for PC. You need to click on "iPhone" (upper right menu item) to display more menue items, of which Apps is one of them. When I had clicked on "iPhone" before, I mistakenly closed the the iPhone option from view because I clicked on the up arrow next to iPhone, instead of just iPhone. Once you click on iPhone, the options look similar to what they did in the earlier version of iTunes and you can easily find Apps.
