Where is this log File
Hi ,
If anybody could guide where can I check this log file "EAIObjMgr_enu_0016_16777244.log" ?
Thanks :-)
If you are asking where to find the log file, it will be on the Siebel server running that EAI process (so you may have to look at multiple servers to find it).
The exact location varies depending on operating system.
Windows -- \siebsrvr\log
Non-Windows -- /siebsrvr/enterprises/[enterprise]/[server]/log
Hope that helps.

Where do archived log files go?
Hi Guys,
This should be a simple one but is turning out to be a real
pain. Where do the log files go when they are archived? I am
looking in the logs directory but cannot find them anywhere ...
even after searching the entire hard drive. I have maximum number
of log files set to 10 and the maximum log file size set to 5000kb.
Thanks, Carl.I'm having the same frustration as the original poster. I
have CF8 installed under Apache HTTP Servers (windows) using the
defaults mostly.
In CF7, if I archived a log file, the old file would be
renamed with a numeric suffix (application.log.1,
application.log.2, etc.) in the cf_root/logs subdirectory, and a
new log file would be created. However, in CF8, the archive
function seems to just delete the old file and create a new one.
I've tried searching fot the archived file with no results. I've
also restarted CF; still no archived logs found.
Is there something in the CF8 Administrator that must be
explicitly set to active archiving? The only setting I see is
"Maximum number of archives: 10" which is the default. -
Today i was transfering a few folders with pictures and videos over to another mac and I noticed that before i sent the file iChat would compress it. Now this is understandable because they were fairly large files, over 2GB, and this would make them transfer faster. The problem is that I was transfering the files because my mac is low on hard drive space and I was trying to free some up. By compressing the files first it was using up more space on my hard drive and I quickly cancelled the compression. I soon realized though that my hard drive space was still disappearing into thin air. I only had 6GB left and was running out fast. As it reached 2GB I began to quickly delete large files I no longer needed hoping that I wouldn't run out of space. It dropped all the way down to 12.4MB before it finally stopped, even with me deleting files. I'm not quite sure what was happening to all of my hard drive space, but was wondering if maybe iChat continued to compress the files even after I cancelled the compression. Anyways if anyone knows why this happened or where iChat stores the files it compresses that would be greatly appreciated.
Hi,
I have heard of this before.
One report suggested it was only PDF files their case.
I cannot replicate it with any pic files (Over 2Gb) PDF or otherwise or files and folders combos.
My tests were from Lion/iChat 6.0.3 to Snow Leopard (iChat 5.0.3)
I would have thought iChat would have created the Zippped/Stuffed files in the same folder as the original items
(i.e pic in the pictures folder (or relevant subfolder) and other files and documents in the Documents folder.
With any application that does Stuffing/Zipping it will create temporary space for doing so.
Much like the way a graphics app creates a Scratch file to keep the 20 or so Undos it works with. (with graphic Apps you can make the Scratch file on another Drive if you have one which can help)
Do this:-
with iChat Open go to the Window Menu.
Select the File transfers item
In this Window (that pops up) select the File that was going to be Transferred.
When it is highlighted then do a Right-Click or Control Click and select the option to Show in Finder
Does it list the zipped file ?

Where is this Log located?
Hi,
I´m getting this Access Denied error and it says that I should look for an ID in the log file, but can´t find the log where I can look for this Id:
Access denied (Object(s): portal_content/com.sap.pct/specialist/com.sap.pct.crm/com.sap.pct.crm.roles/com.sap.pct.crm.core.defaultservices/com.sap.pct.crm.core.valuehelp).
Exception id: 09:51_13/09/07_0001_3889050
See the details for the exception ID in the log file
Has somebody found this log?
Thanx in Advanced!
Kind Regards,
Gerardo JGerardo,
All the system logs reside in the following directory:
usr\sap\<SID>\JC<INSTANCE>\j2ee\cluster\server0\log on your server
The peice of content you are accessing is not available for your user id (hence the Access Denied). Id suggest that you need to assign appropriate privileges in the PCD as by default the portal comes configured only for super_admin level access.
Hope this helps

Where did my log files go?
I just installed OAS, and deployed a small web application (JSP and Servlets). The app is working fine with a couple of exceptions. I went to check the log files to see what went wrong, and couldn't find them.
I realize there are several components of the server, each of which having their own log files. After searching for a few minutes, I did a search through the entire ORACLE_HOME directory looking for files containing text which should have appeared in the log files. I was unable to find any such log files.
Do I have to enable logging? Point it to a certain file? Am I just not looking in the right place? Any help would be appreciated; I'm a bit lost.
When deploying and running the application in Tomcat, the logging is stored in the 'logs' directory, just as you would expect. So I know that the logging is working; I just can't seem to find it when the app is running in OAS.
Thanks,
-DaveYou may be looking for the stdout/stderr process output.
Almost all components in Oracle Application Server 10g
(9.0.4) are managed (at the process level) by OPMN. To
preserve the stdout and stderr of every process, all
processes started by OPMN have their stdout/stderr
redirected to a file (one file for each running process).
This file is sometimes referred to as the "console log".
Console logs are located in $OH/opmn/logs and have a
filenames containing '~' chars. Identifying which
console log file is associated with which process
should be intuitive.
When a process terminates and is replaced by a new
process, console log output from the previous process is
preserved and the replacement process appends to the
end of the console log file.

Where is the log file in 10.1.3 AS?
Hi
I am writing System.out.println statements and want to check those messages in the log file. But not sure where the log file is. Appreciate if you can respond.By default all OC4J stderr and stdout messages go in following file:
$ORACLE_HOME/opmn/logs/OC4J~home~default_group~1
If you want you can change it, refer following for that:

Where is the Log file Location ?
Hi,
JDeveloper : 11.1.1.6
I need to find the log file (text file) that is shown in console window.
where is it located exactly ?!
ThanksThanks for the reply,
Actually my problem is "Farsi Language" (RTL) :
when I print the data retrieved from DB into Log file, it's not readable ! eg : ???????
first I Had the Idea that JDeveloper's Log viewer is not able to show Farsi characters and I wanted to view it in another text editor.
but now I have the same problem in other text editors as well.
I think the encoding in which the log is written needs to be changed into say : UTF8
So , where can I change that encoding ?!
Thank you very much -
Where does NWAS log file resides
Hello friends,
Can anybody tell the location of NetWeaver log file, that contains runtime exception and other information regarding execution of J2EE project.
I am using SAP NAWAS 7.10
Thank youHi,
the default trace files present in the cluster folder are very useful.
c:\usr\sap\sid\JC<XX>\j2ee\cluster
inside this you have dispatcher and server nodes. under each such folder you have the log files. These log files contain the trace files. dispatcher\log will contain how he dispatcher is going to look for the server nodes.
server\log will contain the real time problem.

Where can the log file be found after printing to the PDF printer?
Cannot locate the log file after printing to the Adobe PDF printer. The box was unchecked for delete log file after successful print. Running Adobe Acrobat X Standard (v10.0.0) on a windows 2008 R2 server.
There is usually no log file when the conversion succeeds. Only in certain cases are their warning or information messages, usually of little interest.

Perhaps you accidentally ran the fig4latex script and it created the Makefile.

Where is this class file located??
In developer studio, I am getting an error when building my java project that says "The project was not built since its classpath is incomplete. Cannot find the class file for com.sapportals.wcm.util.uri.RID. Fix the classpath then try rebuilding this project."
Here is the import statement: import com.sapportals.wcm.util.uri.RID;
I have not been able to find the jar file needed to fix this anywhere. Does anybody know the name of the file required for this?
Thanks for any help!first of all add a web dynpro reference (dc->properties)

second, check these links

Hi.
I have some daemons in rc.conf that [FAILED] on boot. Arch boots so fast that i can't tell wich deamon who fails. I've been searching in /var/log but I'm not able to find a logfile that contains those errors. It's also very easy to compare the list in /var/run/daemons and the one in rc.conf. You can see immediately which ones are running (a status file present in /var/run/daemons) and which aren't.

Where is the Scheduler log file located?
I'm trying to track down and diagnose this error in my scheduling/bursting:
Error!! Could not deliver the output for Delivery channel: EMAIL. Please check the Log for error details...
But a search of my entire drive does not reveal any file with a .log extension that has been updated recently, nor do I see a reference to the location of said log file anywhere in the documentation.
Where is the log file to which this error message is referring? Running the OBIEE Suite 10.1.3.4.1 under Windows.
Thanks!Hi Mthompson,
Look at this on how to create the log file.
http://winrichman.blogspot.com/search/label/xdodebug
am sure, you did not create the email/smtp configuration, thats why you see this error.
