Where keeps N8 a contact image cache ?

I have one or two contacts that does not display the associated contact image either in incoming call, or when calling via quick dial. However, the contact image is displayed ok when calling normally via Contacts. The image is also ok in Nokia Suite and Windows Contacts (as all these are in sync).
The image is usually very small, 95x95. I changed the image, I tried with both .png and .jpg. I completely deleted the contact from phone and recreated from scratch, no difference. Any contact, new or existing, that happens to have a certain phone number, will not show the contact image in incoming call or quick dial. If I change the number (changing one digit) and call this modified one via quick dial, then the image shows ok.
I suspect that at one point in time there were some duplicates, or something like that, so that in the past the phone was not sure whom image to display. This is no longer the case, but it seems to me that the conflict remained somewhere in some cache.
Any idea where this cache might be ?

I noticed that when I connect the phone as a mass storage device all things that access the e: & f: are denied by the phone until it is disconnected. That said, all the contact images are still present. Which means they are on the c: drive. I am curious how much space reach image takes up? Because I an running low on space with only about 60 megs free.

- delete browser cache (Internet Explorer or other)

Messages Opening Image Cache Folder when Sending Files

Messages / iChat seems to be opening my image cache folder every time I send an image to my contacts the image cache folder opens in Finder and stays open with the copied image. Is there a way to get rid of this? It's really annoying. It started happening after I updated to Mavericks.

Are you finding those items are zipped before Sending ?
Where are they from?
I get them zipped when sending a pic dragged from a Browser or from iPhoto but not from the Desktop or a Finder window.

First, define the site. Go to Site > Manage Sites. Enter the Local site folder where you want to keep your files.
Under servers, add the FTP log-in details for your remote site as provided to you by your web host.
Root directory is where your hosting provider told you to upload the publicly accessible files. Commonly used root folders include public_html, www or htdocs but this varies by host. If unsure, contact your hosting provider for details.
When you're done defining your site, hit TEST to verify connection and then SAVE your settings.
In the DW Files Panel (F8) click on Remote Server and hit the green Down Arrow to GET files from remote site to your local site folder.

I urgently need to disable the image cache in Mail 7. How can I do that?
Reason: I regularly get mails with image files that are essential parts of customer orders. The image content is different in each mail, but the filename is the same.
Mail 7 displays the same image in every mail until I restart it, it obviously displays a cached file instead of the original image.
Where is the Mail-cache-file? Can I writeprotect it?

Problem with saving Contact Images?

In the process of creating a new contact, I took a photo of someone I probably won't see for awhile instead of choosing an existing photo. But when I look for under "camera roll"... I don't see it there. But it still happens to be under the contact. I know you can extract the photos from my computer, but when I tried looking for it in the 100apple folder, it wasn't there.
My question, do you know where I can find the image I took after choosing "take image" under the contact menu? Especially if I don't use Outlook for sync my contacts... Thanks!

But yes, since he took the photo from the Contacts App and assigned directly from there as opposed to taking a pic with the Photo app and then assigning with an existing photo, the photo doesn't go to the camera roll but just to the contacts database (which is off limits to users). The best he can do is sync and get it from his Address book (though much smaller).

Can't change contact images in Address Book

I am trying to update contact images in Address Book. Everytime I add a new image, it blinks for a moment, then goes back to being black. In my email, the images flit between being available, being old images, and being blank. I've been trying for two hours so it's not a "sync" or "just wait" issue. It keeps telling me that I am a different person, assigning a different contact card to myself, flitting back and forth between contact cards declaring that they are "me," and randomly allowing or not allowing pictures to be updated. What's going on?

We have an xml feed that is refreshed every hour. According
to the xml file, we dynamically load an image into an html text
field each time someone hits our page. All of the images have been
recently updated, but the old ones are still appearing? We use the
swf?nocache=randomnumber convention to make sure the swf file
itself isn't cached, but is there anything we can do to clear out
the cache of dynamically loaded images? If there isn't anything we
can do, will these all eventually refresh themselves? This is how
the html is generated where "twcImage[0]" is the image in question.

Google Contacts Images (It's driving me nuts!)

Hey everyone! I have been a long standing Blackberry user, and for the past year I've been using Android and one of the best features of Android is how closely my device was tied to Google (Calendar, Mail, Contacts, etc).
I'm back to Blackberry! I love the 9900! It's a fantastic device! (maybe not the camera, but everything else yes!).
BIS offers Google contacts syncing, but no contact images. Google has the GSync tool, which doesn't offer syncing of images either while it does offer Google Calendar syncing of multiple calendars on my account which is just fantastic.
I've tried multiple ways of getting my contact images onto my computer then sycning via outlook to, but it gave me a lot of problems, while it did give me contact images.
Please, can anyone offer any way to get images for my contacts? I have over 1,100 contacts (for work) and keeping an image helps a lot and this seems like something SO Basic!
Does Blackberry Protect offer image backup, too? I could sync ONCE to OUtlook then to my BB, then just use Blackberry Protect. Or does anyone have any ideas!?

Thanks for you reply, she already has her own account and wants to back her own contacts up to the cloud, we have tried turning both contacts off in icloud settings, also deleting from phone when prompted, then, we also deleted all her icloud backups to start a fresh. However soon as she turns contacts back on.. Bam they re appear. We also have ipad in the mix so we did the same to that, turned off and deleted contacts on there also to no avail. Somehow they are linked to my acount just cant work out how or where?

Welcome to the  Discussions
I can give an answer as if this were iChat and you may find it applies to the MSN app.
In the iChat Preferences you can set an Account/Screen Name to Allow Multiple Logins.
This allows you to Login from more than one App (using the same Computer) or from multiple Computers (like work and home).
To Alter the Buddy List, specifically when trying to delete a Buddy you have to be only Logged in once.
Otherwise the Other Login can override the deletion as it is reconfirming that person/Contact as a Buddy.

When you say a new user ID, are you referring to your Apple ID that you use to make purchases in the iTunes Store, etc? Or are you talking about a new user account on the same Mac?
