Where on earth is CHUD?

Hello,
I need a specific command line tool, which flushes the inactive memory and which is located within the CHUD package? (according to what I had found from google search) But I can't download it (the download links from C/Net or whatever seem not working) and I can't find it either in Apple's developers tools.
So the question is: Where's the download link, or where I can find the inactive memory flush tool either?

P.S.: I know that occupied inactive memory doesn't harm, but why to have 10GB inactive memory occupied with one time file copy contents?

I think CHUD is long gone. I don't know what replaced it. I have heard that Disk Utility's Repair Permissions will free your inactive memory as a side effect.

In case you need to copy the file a second time. This is how servers work. You want to go to the disk as little as possible. If some other process needs that memory, it will take it.

You can't, sorry. If you bought PSE 6 on disc as the overwhelming majority of people did, you can't use a download version because back then discs and downloads had mutually incompatible serial numbers. The downloads that are available are essentially the trials and you couldn't enter a serial number into the trial back then, either.
If you really bought a download and didn't save the installation files, I'm afraid you're stuck, because those just aren't available anywhere now, to the best of my knowledge. At one point there was an Australian site that had them, but AFAIK those are gone there, too.

Where on earth can i change resolution values/doc raster effects?

Hi Guys and Galls,
when importing a Bar Code i consistently get message that resolution for professional book printing is too low. (which results in text [print proof] overlaid on barcode, which obviously we don't want.
when trying to save a piece of Russian text (in Illustrator) as pdf (for placing into Pagemaker), i get warning that ppi is 72 ppi or below.
the designated printer values for both examples are 2400. Where (in InDesign, but problem is same in Illustrator) can i change the document raster effects from 72 ppi to a higher (standard) value?

Check the "Effects > Document Raster Effects" and/or "Print > Output Resolution" dialogs.

Where on EARTH is the icloud section on your PC?

I recently lost my ipodtouch 4g, and am hoping icloud can track where it is even without my device. rarg.

Did you setup Find iPhone app on your iPod Touch. If you did you can go to www.icloud.com and login iCloud with your AppleID. Then Select Find My iPhone. Your iPod Touch has to be powered on and connected to wi-fi for this to work.

Where on earth is the home key???

I'm starting to learn motion and one of the keyboard shortcuts to move to the start of the play range is Home+shift.
The only problem is that THERE'S NO HOME KEY!!!!
After searching frantically on my keyboard, on the internet and on the keyboard layout I just gave up. Any ideas where the home key is???

I have to say that I laughed out loud when I saw the subject for this thread. It reminded me of a Simpsons episode where Homer gets to work from home. The computer reads: Press any key to continue.
Homer: Where's the ANY key? This is harder than I thought.
Anyway, I have to say I think the newest Mac keyboards are horrible, and the version before that is only passable. Before that was my favorite keyboard that Apple produced, where the function keys are are separated into 4 groups of 4 instead of all in one line. It was perfect for fast editing on FCP.

Greetings all, does anybody have any idea where I can get certutil??? Its referenced in all the ssl documentation, but after MANY fruitless hours scouring the net and burrowing through the sun site (as lets face it all the indexed links for it point to www.iplanet.com which in turn returns Sun Download page) I have reached the point of apoplexy.

I assume you're using a PC. Press Alt to show the Menu Bar temporarily, press Ctrl+B to show the Menu Bar permanently

Where on earth is the audio editing tab in 10.1?

I must be going crazy but where is the audio editing tab - option like reverse, normalise, gain change and slicing for converting into a sampler instrument.
I was under 'File' tab but now with 10.1 that is no longer there.
Any ideas where its gone?

Any chance you disabled the Audio checkbox in the Advanced Preferences

Where on earth is my illustrator cs6 preference?

I am using OSX 10.8.
I have looked in library under adobe and preferences
Under my own username and then preferences. I have looked in Applications as well, but I can’t find anything relating to the preferences file.
Can anyone suggest any option to where this file could be?

HI...I used the App store to purchase a serial number for Numbers, it never asked me for payment info, and even though the app store installed it, it's still asking for a password/serial number which I have no idea where it is???

Thanks Wayne! And I shall take it a step further. After speaking w/Apple, he told me to look into the App folder and I didn't realize the old one was inside the iWork folder, wherreas the new one was standalone in the App folder! Trash the original, case closed. Thanks guys...

Where on earth is my keymap

I want to run lkl (keylogger), on my computer, but the keymap for my language doesn't exist.
(I should explain this, so that people don't think I'm using keylogger for something malicious.)
I am very interested in keyboard layouts. I am from the Faroe Islands and I have made a custom Faroese DVORAK keyboard layout, but my Faroese DVORAK keyboard layout is not optimal for me, because I commonly write in >4 different languages, so simply analyzing a bunch of Faroese text isn't accurate for me, to know which words/keys I use most often.
I want to run a keylogger for a long time (>1 year), and after that, I will analyze key/word frequencies, to know how to make a keyboard layout that's completely customized to my usecase (oh, and btw. I would love to know a way to do this securely, somehow encrypting the logfile from lkl)... ANYWHO.
My keyboard layout is Faroese "fo", and the way I configured this was to edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/keyboard.conf to:

Identifier "Keyboard Defaults"
MatchIsKeyboard "yes"
Option "XkbModel" "toshiba_s3000"
Option "XkbLayout" "fo"

note the "XkbLayout" "fo" section.
If I want to use lkl (the keylogger), I have to specify a keymap for it to interpret, however there is no Faroese keymap in /usr/share/kbd/keymaps/
What do I do? Is it true that xorg manages to set a "fo" keyboard layout, without having a keymap, and if so, do i have to make my own keymap?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yes thanks. I think I know how to use lkl, the problem is that none of those keymaps is correct for me.
I use the Faroese (fo) keymap, the layout is as such:

And the key next to "+", is a dead accent symbol (acute), for making letters like á, ú, í, ó ,ý etc.

Where on earth can I get the latest WLST since dev2dev moved for weblogic 8

This is driving me crazy.
I did manage to download a version of WLST as part of wli_util.jar.
However, when I try to view my custom mbeans I get a null pointer. On another forum I found someone ask the question whats causing it and the answer was its fixed in the subsequent WLST release. But I cant find the download page for this utility anywhere. Anything I find on the web points to the old dev2dev site.
All I want to do is view my custom mbeans. Have been spending far too much time on a task which should only take half a day. I have a solution in JBoss but we deploy to weblogic in the live environment.
There is plenty of help/howto pages for WLST, but no place have I seen a link to a download page for this.
I understand its packaged with Weblogic 9, but that 8.1 didnt have it and Im stuck with 8.1 running on a 1.4 JVM.
Lastely, I did try to create this in the weblogic.interest.management forum, but clicking on the new Topic button produced an error message saying I dont have permissions to "read" this topic, which to me makes no sense since I was just viewing/searching in there for the answer.
Couldsome nice person post the link?

If you have the old uri - you can access it from the WayBackMachine on archive.org.
you might want to open a case with customer support about missing content from dev2dev.
If you're brave enough to post your email address, you might get someone to email it to you.
You could also download/install/extract it from WLS 9.
Or ask customer support to send it to you.

When I synced my new device all of my information was gone - is there someone i can contact to find out where on earth it is?

when i left my job and gave them back my laptop i obviously kept the sync key and thought it would be fine to simply come along and enter the details into my new computer and away i go ... like i did when i got the laptop in the first place.
However when i entered all the information it said it had imported it and there were no links, bookmarks, password, history ... nothing.
Is there a way i can find out why this is happening. it can't have overwritten them as i selected the option to sync what is local and on the server.
any ideas.
