Where on .MAC is my web page?

Hi, I created a web site and publushed it to .mac. No problems when it asked to view it. But when I log into .mac on the left side I see some of the pages I included in the web site listed, along with homepages I did before iWeb, but not them all?
On the right of that area I see a small "www" and if I click on that I go to my old homepages? I don't see my new site listed anywhere. How do I get to it?

As Tom say below, the first group relates to iWeb, the second to HomePage. In the case of HomePage the list (at least in my case) appears to consist of the top five pages in terms of visits. I'm not sure if the iWeb five are a random selection or are the five most recently added/edited pages.
(Incidentally, both the WWW button and 'More' at the end of the HomePage list link to the same place: your HomePage area on .Mac. As with .Mac Groups, I would expect 'More' to change the items in My Pages rather than bring me to HomePage. This behaviour is a real pain in a .Mac group if there are more than five pages, since nothing after the fifth page can be opened directly from the group page.)

I'm not sure what web me is. Are you referring to iWeb, Apple's former web page editor/manager?
If you mean the web page that was on MobileMe, it's been deleted. Last month, MobileMe was shut down and iCloud took over. Unfortunately, iCloud does not provide a web page service, nor a photo gallery.
However, if you used iWeb to create the site, then you should still have the files on your mac. These can be uploaded to another web provider, which you would have to subscribe to. There are hundreds if not thousands of providers around the globe.

Retina display - blurry office for mac 2011 and web pages?

Hi everyone,
I was planning on making a trip to my uni tomorrow to make the purchase of the macbook pro 13 inch 8GB RAM and 256 GB SSD (for student discount) but while doing some final research I came across several disadvantages of the RD.
For the next 3 months, the macbook will be used for report/thesis writing which means ill be using office for mac 2011 and adobe reader heavily as well as the internet. I have read many articles saying office for mac 2011 even after applying the update is still blurry and grainy as are the majority of web pages and this has put me off buying and made me think id be better off with the non retina display model, meaning I'd save £200 too.
Can anyone offer any advice on this and confirm whether or not this is true, and whether you would recommend going ahead with the purchase? A screenshot of office for mac 2011 on a retina display would be perfect

I agree with BobTheFisterman. I have Pages 5, Pages '09 and Office for Mac 2011. I really like the Pages programs - each of the versions in their own way - but I don't like using Word on Office for Mac. It's not the same as Office 10 when used on a Windows machine. Not close at all in fact. I use it because I have it, and emailing documents between my Mac and work where we use Windows makes it easy. "Easy" is not the same as liking the software though.
The point of this, is that I would not recommend buying it. I've heard that Open Office and Libre Office are very credible alternatives, and work very much like Word on Windows. Both are free and get very good reviews. I've not used either so can't speak from personal experience, but what I would say after buying Office for Mac is that I wish I had tried the free alternatives first.
The other alternative to consider of course of Google Drive. I use that for non-confidential documents, but I wouldn't trust it for storage of any confidential work related stuff.

Using iWeb to publish to .mac and separate web page

Hi all,
I have a rather complicated question. I am in the process of developing three web pages: 2 pages will be developed with iWeb and hosted off of .mac. For the third website, I have purchased a domain name and would like to publish it with iWeb.
Is this too complicated?
How is this done? I have some technical knowledge with regards to website but am new to the apple web publishing world.

To keep things separate create a new user account on your machine for the non .Mac Site.

Why won't Firefox 3.6.17 on Mac load certain web pages but will load others?

I'm using Firefox 3.6.17 on Mac (10.4.11), can anyone explain why I cannot access Yahoo, Google, Cnn, Bing, but can access other sites? Those web pages starts to load, then display (Untitled) in tab with a blank page. I have cleared everything in my cache and cookies and reinstalled Firefox and nothing helps. This problem started a few days ago and previously there was no problem and I didn't make any changes to Firefox. Thanks for the help.

Found a solution to the problem. The permissions for the firefox.app file were not set to admin - read-write. After adding this permission using the get info menu item when right clicking the file name in the applications folder, the tab now automatically opens when clicking on Email link.

Mac Mini and web page distortion

I purchased a Mac Mini a couple of months ago. I have noticed when I am scrolling thru web pages there is some distortion or tearing on the screen in the browser window.
I was about a month ago in a Apple store in ABQ and the sales rep felt like it was a software issue as it was also in an iMac on the showroom floor. Has anyone seen this on their units? He also felt that with the next software revision, the issue might be resolved.
Any thoughts or is anyone else having this same problem

The ADC adapter from Apple is a dvi to adc connector. You then still need to use it with your mac mini's mini dvi to dvi connector or the mini display port to dvi connector.
If you are using the bundled mini dvi to dvi connector try using a mini display port dvi connector to your dvd to adc connector.

Mac Book Flash web page error message

I am able to add images to my personal webspace without any issue. If you can give me some more information about the process you are using, maybe I can play with it a little and see if I can find a solution.
What browser and version are you using?
What format are the images you are trying to add? (.bmp, .gif, .jpg, .jpeg...?)
How large are the files?
Can you give me a step-by-step of the path you are taking to upload the files?
Have you tried uploading the files from a different location? (For instance, if they are in your My Documents folder, try moving them to your Desktop and upload from there.)
Using an FTP client is a valid workaround, but if there's something broken then Verizon or Trellix (or both) need to fix it.

Web page compatibility between Mac and Windows

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has had any compatibility issues with opening a Java based webpage on a Mac. The web page works in Internet Explorer and Firefox on my VMware Fusion, but I cannot seem to get it to work on my mac directly. The page is a user interface for an Alcatel-Lucent networking device, so unfortunately I don't have many details. The user guide specifies for Windows to disable "next-generation Java Plug-in" in the Java control panel, but I wasn't sure how to do this on a mac. I tried using the IE Tab plug-in on Firefox on the Mac to see if that might help, but I just received a message that I was missing plug-ins, but Firefox wouldn't specify which plug-in?? If anyone has seen issues with some pages not working on the Mac, but working on Windows please let me know.

IETab does not work on Firefox on the Mac because there is no IE natively on your Mac, and that extension was designed solely for use in Windows.
The reference to the 'Next-Generation Java Plugin' is also a Windows only issue. If you wish to review your Java Preferences, do a Spotlight search for Java Preferences and you should see it in the Applications results.
Lucent has long been associated with Windows only hardware since the advent of the 'WinModem'. Hopefully you aren't stuck with a Windows specific device.

How to automatically size web pages for 27 inch i-mac

I am trying to get my new 27 inch I mac to size web pages to be the same size as screen. Currently, only the middle section of screen does web pages appear.

Look in the View menu for Safari. The last item in that menu should be "Enter Full Screen", keyboard shortcut Command-Control-F. Give that a try.

Web Page File Names

When I post a Web Page to my .mac account the web page itself shows the correct file name that I have assigned the file before I import into the aperture 2.1 library. I email a link to the web page to clients so they can pick which images they want me to then give them 16 bit tiffs of. The problem is if they just look at the web page and make their picks straight from there they give me those file names which are correct. But, if they download the image and put it into a layout for approval before ordering the high res the file name is not the same as the original file name. Aperture seems to rename the files based on where they are in order in the web page. For instance, I would name a file ai0154-0020 and the downloaded file from an aperture web page would be titled picture-4.jpg. This is a huge nightmare for me to try to figure out what image the client actually wants. Any thoughts?

Can only load web pages

Hi there,
I'm running an Apple iBook G4, with Mac OS 10.4.7, and connecting to the Internet through an Apple Airport Extreme. Until recently, my connection has been fine, but in the last few days I've noticed a systemic failure has crept up on me.
Almost every application in my system cannot connect to the Internet. iTunes can't connect to the music store, Gmail notifier can't retrieve messages, Mac OS X Software Updater can't connect to the update server, even the dashboard weather and stock ticker widgets can't connect to their servers.
Now here's where it gets weird. Web pages load fine in Firefox. Camino and Safari both refuse to load anything, but Firefox is loading pages without a hitch.
I'm stumped. Really, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try restarting the base station by opening the Airport Admin Utility in /Applications/Utilities/. Select your base station from the list and choose Base Station> Restart. If your base station doesn't show up in the list, you can also unplug your base station from the wall for a few seconds and plug it back in to restart it.
If that does not work, follow the instructions in this article to reset your base station.

Can't add web page to existing document

I am new to Acrobat 9 Pro (running on Win7). I love the feature where you can convert a web page to pdf and then add a wab page to an existing document. My probelm is that I saved one page as a pdf then went to a different link on that website that appears very similar and tried to add that page to the first one. As many times as I tried, my second page will not appear.
I did try going to an entirely different website and adding a page to the very same document and I was successful.
Is it possible that the program won't add the similar page because it is recognizing the page to be the same? Is there a setting to override this? I need to be able to save multiple web pages that appear the same way to one document quickly and easily.

Thank you for your response. It is possible to do this but I need the 'Add web page to existing doc' feature to work for me. I will be converting a large number of similar pages to pdf and this feature would be perfect if it worked as it is intended. Going back later to insert pages is counter-productive for me.
