Your only option is to sell the iPad and buy a new one, unless you just bought the iPad 2 in the past 14 days.

  • HT4060 Where on the iPad mini do I plug in the power cord?

I just bought a new iPad mini and need to recharge the battery.  But I don't see where on the iPad to plug in the power cord.  The power cord has the same male connector as my iPhone 4.  Help!

Use the cable that came with the iPad mini, not with your iPhone. Different connectors.

  • Why is the iPad Mini slower than iPod touch 4 at buffering video?

As mentioned in the title I have an iPad Mini that is being outperformed by my iPod touch 4. I have been using both devices on the same network and on You Tube the iPod is a lot faster at loading, Furthermore, when using BBC iPlayer I can connect with the iPod and watch whereas the iPad Mini comes up that there is insufficient bandwidth and doesn't even play.
I was convinced that the iPad Mini would be faster than my iPod which is a year older. I am really disappointed about this and have tried as many things as I can possibly think of. Is anyone else out there experiencing these problems and, if so, do you have any advice on what I can do to solve this problem.
    Kind regards,
    Emubob

I noticed that my iPad is far more sensitive to signal fluctuations than my MBP. The MBP would report 5 bars, but the iPad would drop the connection every 3 seconds. It turned out that the router was varying the signal, and the iPad couldn't keep a solid connection.

  • Why did the Apple Store replace the iPad mini when the firmware was corrupt -- why not just fix the firmware?

The iPad mini would not turn on - so I scheduled an appointment with the Genius Bar. Why did they say the only solution was a replacement iPad mini- couldn't the firmware be corrected (re-installed or something?)
    Problem Description/Diagnosis
    Issue: iPad display is black
Steps to Reproduce: Plugged into the computer to do a restore and there was an error message saying the firmware is corrupt
Cosmetic Condition: iPad appears to be in good condition
    Contact Apple Support Case: 697280685

The iPad mini was not still under warranty -- so they charged me $199 -- and I did not ask because the way they said it, there was not an option. When I got home and checked, it appears that there should have been an option to re-install the firmware.

  • Which App Store does the iPad Mini use?

I know this is probably a stupid question, but just to be sure; among the apps available to iphone and ipad, and the apps only available to ipad and what-not, where does the iPad Mini fall in? Does it have access to all the apps on the iPad and the iPhone or how is it set up? Thanks in advance!

The iPad mini is an iPad, not an iPhone, so it uses the same apps as any iPad. However, it is not quite so clear cut, since any number of iPhone apps can also be run on an iPad, and very many can be used on both. The app descriptions will tell you what devices, as well as version of iOS, the app is compatible with.

  • When would it be avaliable the iPad Mini in stores in Mexico or via Apple Online Store?

    Hi there:
When would it be avaliable the iPad Mini in stores in Mexico or via Apple Online Store? (Mx) Domain
I'm really looking forward in buying the Mini, but I'm wondering if i should wait for de Mini or a just buy de iPad with Retina Display
    Regards!....

Here's hopping Apple reads the submitted requests for Passbook on iPad.
Below is a copy of my submission:
Please add Passbook to iPad with iCloud sync.
Best reason for having Passbook on iPad (with my workflow):
While at home relaxing using my iPad, I check-in for my Delta flight, I'm offered an option to add my ticket to Passbook during the process.
If Passbook were available, one click and I'm done.
But no, I have to cancel the process, go pickup my much slower and smaller iPhone, start all over, and finish the process standing up next to the wall where the iPhone is charging after a long work day.

I have tried back ups and  restoring, resetting, and even updating the pages app. And nothing has worked.

  • HT5007 There is a piano player on the iPad mini advert, can anyone please tell me where can I find the app for this?

Hello everyone. Just using the iPad for the first few weeks. So still learning. I want to know which app is shown on the iPad mini advert? Looks like a nice tool to learn to annoy the girlfriend.

  • I have a Iphone 4s and a ipad mini. the ipad mini recently got water damage, tried the rice trick...nothing. I have apple care plus on my iPhone, does that work on my ipad too? if so that would be great bc  defintally can't afford a new one ,lol

    Welcome to the boards.
First, what kind of liquid was it, and was it fully submersed?  For how long?  Do you see water droplets or moisture behind the screen?  How long did you leave it in rice for?  Etc.  More data please.
And the short answer is no, apple care does not extend from your iPhone to your iPad mini.  Both items require separate Apple Care plans to be covered.  Furthermore, I don't think water damage is covered under Apple Care.  Only manufacturing defects.
If you bought it on a Credit Card, you may be lucky enough to call them and ask them if they have a replacement program as a benefit for being a card holder.  I believe AMEX has one on their Platinum cards, and worse case scenario, you can always try to file a claim with your home insurance or renters insurance  (check your policy).  Just beware, if you go the Insurance route in filing a claim, you might have your premium go up in the next cycle.
    It's a double edged sword, I'm sorry.

  • Would iPad Mini cases fit the iPad mini 2?

Probably sounds silly as they are virtually the same and no difference in size or dimensions were mentioned but I compared iPad models and the iPad Mini 2 is thicker by 0.3mm. Now this might sound miniscule but cases are made to fit perfectly and I'm afraid even 0.3mm would make a difference in using a case? Am I paying too much attention or should I get cases specifically said to be compatible with iPad Mini 2?

I think it depends. If you're looking for a tight fitting snap case then you may want to look for Mini 2 cases specific, or get it from a place with a good return policy. If it's a portfolio case or a silicone case you should be fine because they  have more wiggle room.
i've found that some retailers don't care if you 'try it on' in the store, you just have to ask for their help or be very careful when you open the packaging so that it is still resellable.
I have a Touch 5 and have found that iPhone 5 cases fit it, the bits of millimeters in difference doesn't pose a problem (Biggest issue I have is buttons being in different places, not case size)

  • HT5457 would i be better off getting the ipad mini or the ipad 2 upgraded to ios6

I want an IPAD that is fast and good for education, so I want to know if getting the IPAD mini is better then getting the IPAD 2 upgraded to IOS6 ,and witch one would I be better off getting.

The iPad mini is basically a smaller iPad 2. However, there are a few differences.

  • Where is the GPS in the IPad Mini Wi-Fi? O.O

I bought the new IPad Mini Wi-Fi, but I saw that in the IPad Mini there isn't the GPS!!

The wifi-only iPad does not have GPS hardware. The wifi+cell iPad has GPS hardware.
