Where or what can I buy or use to understand Final Cut better?

I'm gonna be attending Cincinnati State in the fall, and I was wanting to get a jump start on AVP (Audio/Video Production). I have Final Cut Pro 5.0, and I know the basics of how to import video, store files, and add clips to a timeline, but I really wanna get to know this program inside and out. Can someone please lead me in the right direction?

Take the manuals to bed with you and study them.
Do the Tutorials that came with the Application?

The only Programms I worked with are DVD Studio Pro and iDVD. You can burn a Video-DVD with Toast but there is no real option to design your Menu. Just a few themes as far as I discovered.
Do you have a Blue Ray Device to burn* the HD-DVD? Are the Bride and Groom able to watch the Blue Ray?
* which is only possible with DVD Studio Pro and not iMovie as far as I know.

For better quality I would go the Compressor & DVD Studio Pro workflow I just learned.
Export the Movie as is from Final Cut Pro and then use Compressor to encode the File.
Consider delivering the Movie in a different way like a private video on vimeo, a Website or on an SD card which is not really romantic...

If they were downloaded from the Mac App store, no. In fact, the licenses are not transferable. Technically, it's not legal to sell you the machine with apps from the Mac App store still installed.

I had the same error when trying to update my apps on my ipod touch. I tried to input my security code numerous times to no avail. I also made sure my billing address was the same as what my bank had on file. To fix the issue I went into iTunes, logged onto the iTunes store, went to account settings and reviewed my recent purchases. Turned out that I had made a recent purchase and didn't have enough money left on my credit card to pay for it at the time. I paid off the credit card, and then input my security code once more and now it works fine. I've heard that some debit or pay as you go credit cards require a minimum balance, so make sure you have at least that amount in your account.

Can I buy a "used then uninstalled" version of Leopard?

If a person is advertising a copy of Leopard as "used then uninstalled" (a fellow student my university who got it as a gift, installed it, then needed cash, and is trying to offload it) can I buy it and install on my Macbook? I do trust the person to have done what they say, but in the event they've lied (people are people), if I have all the documentation, etc I would then be the legal owner, right? (I seem to recall a Supreme Court decision that said manufacturers could not prohibit the resale of software as long as it was taken off the first machine.)
Anyway, just curious. I can save $15 this way and help out a fellow student. If I can't, no biggie, since I can afford retail.

Gift cards are country specific. You cannot use them in another country.

Thank you for your reply, I did go to my general settings, but for some odd reason I don't have a restrictions setting, or a reset setting. I thought I could reset all the setting to see if it could be that, but as I said there aren't any.
My husband also has the iPad 2, and also did the software update and hasn't had any problems at all. I took both iPad's and compared the settings thinking maybe there could be a setting that could have been changed when the update was done.

I actually created these fonts with fontagrapher in 1998 and have been using them regularly ever since and now they are not available in InDesign. I really need to use them.

On PostScript type 1 fonts you need to copy/move the fonts to the correct font folder because Font Book doesn't copy them into the folder. Select the fonts double-click the fonts and Find in the font Book app and validate.
The correct font folder depends how you are set up. I am by myself so my font folder was MyHarddrive/Library/Fonts. I was using Suitcas fusion and the fonts are located in a different folder.
Most of the fonts have worked. Go to

Thanks for the post. I'm not sure which model printer that you have but you should be able to print from your iPad 2 with the HP Home and Biz application. This is for wireless printers that are NOT web enabled. I've included a link below with some great information on how to get this resolved. Good Luck!

Can I buy and use two upgrades: Creative Suite 6 Design Standard
and Creative Suite 6 Production Premium?
Second question: if I make my upgrade Creative Suite 5.5 Production Premium (which has included, among othersAdobe Premiere Pro) to Creative Suite 6 Design Standard (which does not have Adobe Premiere Pro), will I still be able to use the applications contained in the Creative Suite 5.5 Production Premium (Adobe Premiere Pro), or it will be deactivated?

What would you want with 2 upgrades if you have only 1 qualifying product? That's simply not possible since the upgrade serial is tied to the serial number of the previous product. Otherwise your CS5.5 will remain fully functional when you install CS6.
