Where or where did my AE go; the cursed thing is refusing to show?

I think this is probably a newbie question, but the funny thing is, it's been asked several times before, but none was answered. It's been years since I last reconfigured my network, and I'll be damned if I can find an answer to the case of the missing AE. I changed several settings for my Time Capsule, which is now back on line. I, therefore had to reconfigure a newer model AE that was currently extending my network and using Air Tunes. I've rebooted it, reset it, unplugged it for several minutes, plugged it in within a couple of feet of my TC - you name it. It gives me nothing but a flashing yellow light and refuses to appear in the Utility menu.
Where's my bad. Am I forgetting something that elementary? Thanks for any help you can offer on the subject.

Hold in the reset button on the AirPort Express (AX) until you see the amber light begin to blink more quickly; keep holding another 3-4 seconds when this occurs and then release the reset button.
If you want to configure the AX using wireless, remember that it is broadcasting a default wireless network with a name like +Apple Network xxxxxx+. You need to locate this network and log on (there is no security) so that AirPort Utility, the application used to configure the AirPorts, can communicate with the AX. Reconfigure the device as needed.
Alternately, you can connect an ethernet cable from your Mac directly to the AX if you want to configure using an ethernet connection. Once you have the AX updated with new settings, you can disconnect the ethernet cable.

The other strange thing is all of the songs are gone from the ipod but the disk space is still being used. You should see the home page on the left, the app you were looking at, and previous apps to the right.

Changed the battery in my ipod touch. now the only thing it does is shows the apple logo. tried the resets, tried to go through itunes. computer doesnt recognize its plugged up

i just installed a new battery into my wifes ipod touch. after charging it all night, all it will do is show the apple logo. ive tried reseting, ive tried going through itunes. doesnt respond to either. the computer doesnt even reconize that its hooked up. please help me.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Problem: The fade in button/tab refuses to show up

I have a four minute slideshow using two different songs. When the second half with the new song starts up, it is too abruptly loud and I want to do a fade In. Problem is, whereas the grey fade out button appears for at the end of the last clip with the ending of the first song, the grey fade in button refuses to appear at the beginning of the second half with the second song.
I had the same problem with trying to increase the volume of the second half with the new song. The volume adjust handles refuse to show up on the second half of the slideshow with the new song.
Do you have a fix for this?

Related to thread, our custom viewer app has a similar problem that only the latest free issue (published via folio builder website) is appeared, and 3 retail issues (published via folio builder) and other 3 retail issues (published via pre-release content bundler) are disappeared. And purchased 2 retail issues (published via prerelease content bundler) are appeared when logged in with the apple ID used for those 2 retail issued. Fake Pull Down Menus (alternative to the real thing)

To anyone who followed my tortuous post re: mouse-over menus ("my crippled site"), my resolution to the problem was to create fake or static pull down menus. I'm sure other people have done similar menus in iWeb.
This is certainly an easier - but no where as usable or effective - alternative to the real thing. Maybe someone looking to implement pull-downs will find value in checking this out.

Yes, the old album art view is gone, bu you can see the album art for a song that's playing by clicking on the art image and it will open a bigger view.
Everything else in your post is a waste. I'm not going to spend time reading it. If - and I repeat if, you have a question on how to get the best out of the new look iTunes, post it. But don't spend your time in long rambling negative rants.

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

The exclamation mark means that the app has lost the link to the actual file.
First step: try and make sure the iPhoto Library is working correctly:
Go to the App Store and check out the Purchases List. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1
If it is there, then drag your existing iPhoto app (not the library, just the app) to the trash
Install the App from the App Store.
Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

One question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?
iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.

Where did my bookmarks in the html file go?

I exported my bookmarks to html. The file opened fine with FireFox and notepad and showed the bookmarks. I copied the file to a thumb drive and it still opened fine with FireFox or notpad. But, as soon as I eject the flash drive, and put it back in, the file no longer can be read or viewed. The same thing happens to the backup .json file. Now I've tried it with saving this page as an html file. It did the same thing.

Thanks, other files on the flash drive were readable, and I had always used the "safe removal" before removing the drive. But you got me looking at it some more and the flash drive did have some corrupt files on it. After repairing it, the bookmark html files work fine.
